      If I remember correctly in the 616-MCU Universe mentioned Odin took Loki an he was smallest of Giants and helpless during the war and took him in since he probably wouldn’t survive and seems the defect would make him weak compared to the others.
      Maybe in the this universe he didn’t have this handicap. But yeah I think that was said in Thor 1.
      Here’s the link to what I refer to.

    The answer to the big question is this: The moment of divergence of this "What If..?" is not Odin returning Loki to his parents. It is that, in this reality, Loki was born the right size. Remember, Loki's real father throws him away BECAUSE of his size. So, in this reality, he was born "normal", so Odin did not see any reason for keeping him.

    • @anthonym28

      I like the theory that when Odin found baby Loki, they imprinted on each other and Loki subconsciously took a form similar to Hela (remember all the jokes when Ragnarok came out about how Thor looks like the adopted sibling of the 3?). Then maybe Odin or Frigga put a charm on baby Loki to keep the form.

    • @jalenvasquez8727
      @jalenvasquez8727 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Well one thing I think I remember in the film, Loki was essentially casted out because he was a runt for a frost giant. Which is why he stays small. As for the skin, I assume it was just due to magic and Frigga taught him more magic to shapeshift

    • @et9120
      @et9120 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It marked an important split in the show. Before that point, The Watcher always spoke from a position of surety about the events to come. Almost as if he knew what was next, however that surprised him, and that means there's some level of randomness going on. Which would match up well with what went on in the Loki show.

    This episode didn’t make a lot of sense, but it did make me laugh. Even the fight between Thor and Danvers, which was very well executed, was comical. Had a lot of fun with this episode, maybe because it was so lighthearted. I've enjoyed the whole series so far, but this one just hit a little different for me and might be my favorite of the bunch. In regards to telling Darcy and Jane apart, Jane was missing Natalie Portman's mole on her left cheek, something that is faithfully recreated in Star Wars animations, and I was so disappointed it didn't show up in this show. That's how you know it's Natalie Portman! We need the beauty mark!

    Gonna throw this crazy thought into the What If equation = WHAT IF...we're seeing all these variant timelines throughout this series as a result of the end of Loki (I don't think many people haven't already thought about that). With the fabric of time, space, reality, etc. literally breaking/cracking do you think the 'rules' are falling apart as well?
    What I mean by that is, say the Infinity Stones followed the same rule as the comics; NOT working in another universe but ONLY working in the universe the stones are from. Since everything is kind of breaking apart while 'merging' together or at the very least crossing over from one universe to the next could that mean the stones this Ultron/Vision has on its body would work in other universes as well?
    OR all of this is me overthinking and the MCU will just have the stones work pretty much anywhere unless they are in some sort of area that nullifies magic and other forms of power like the T.V.A. base of operations.

    • @WoodChuuck
      @WoodChuuck 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Its possible. I think that could be shown at the end of the show with the universes merging. So far we see that the universes are in a bubble and dont really connect. I think with the final 2 episodes we could see the timelines collide and have some connections to loki.

      @andrehenderson7820 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was thinking the same thing lol

    • @FoneyBone1
      @FoneyBone1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      The MCU doesn't seem to adhere to the "stones only work in their origin universe" rule. All the stones in Endgame were from different timelines/universes and worked fine.
      Unless I'm mistaken, Kang's concern wasn't that the universes or their laws would break down, he was concerned that they would cause another inter universal war, which Ultron seems to be doing, but the timeline branching doesn't seem to have any adverse effects on its own.

    • @FFmaxxx
      @FFmaxxx 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's most likely rele. They Said what if is canon

    • @arthand7672
      @arthand7672 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The way I see it... I think theres a differences between timelines and universes.
      Remember in loki how Kang explained how all of the universes were stacked on top of each other? And that branches from each universe broke off and seemed to cross with other branches and then there was a multiversal war... until kang started pruning each branch to keep the other universes from branching into his "sacred timeline"
      I could be wrong, I fully admit I'm an idiot. But I see these as branches on the MCU universe, and not completely separate universes. So the timelines branching off of the same universe may allow use of the same stones, whereas if they cross over with say... earth 616 or the noir universe they probably wouldn't work there since those are completely separate universes with no shared DNA.
      Kang didn't wipe out every other universe, just followed some of the loose ends to nearby ones, destroyed them, and created enough space between the MCU and the others that none of their branches would grow far enough to touch his. And now that he's gone, some of the branches will start getting close enough to intertwine with other universes which is probably how it's possible to meet Garfield and Maguire in No Way Home.

      Read the comics. The enchantment has been in the hammer ever since Thor was still a child. He initially couldn't lift it, he had to undergo several challenges and adventures before he proved his worthiness. I know that's comics, this is the MCU, but Marvel Studios took their cues from the comics. In the Thor movie, there was already an enchantment on mjolnir even before Thor's attack on Jotunheim. What Odin did was to strip Thor of his powers and immortality, and made him human. He will not regain his powers and godhood until he proves himself worthy to wield Mjolnir again. When he heard about the "satellite" that no one could lift, he knew that it was actually Mjolnir, because supposedly only he and Odin could lift it.

The first couple of movies, the fancy one and the dark awful one, state Loki was taught magic by Frigga and that is how he can manipulate his illusions which is how he appears to everyone else. Loki found it useful because it allowed for him to manipulate Thor. I thought something similar when with that women on the beach. First I thought it was a nod to Tahiti, and also I tried to see who it was but there wasn’t enough of the face but then I thought who would not react to something like that and also be that tall and my guess is it is Captain Carter decompressing from being torn out of her time, which would place this episode in 2012 btw.

    Okay hear me out, The reason the Tesseract was in Norway at the start of First Avenger is apparently (I looked it up) because Odin lost it there during a battle between the Frost Giants and the Asgardians.
    In this episode we briefly see that Odin returning the baby Loki to the Frost Giants seems to bring about peace between the two races. So unless the Tesseract had already been lost there's no reason why they would have the battle in Norway meaning Odin would still have the Tesseract.
    If the Tesseract is not on earth there is no way that Carol Danvers would have been able to get her powers from it, which means that this episode of what if is paradoxical and may not be possible in terms of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff

    About Loki: I'll go with the environment. We see in the first film, the cold makes his skin go blue. So being constantly exposed to the cold of their home world, makes the skin permanently blue. A bit like how humans get a tan in the sun. Then I guess the giant size is the same deal. Not being exposed to regular cold, stumped his growth.
