Greetings from India! I’ve ordered the Yamaha PSR-E473, and it’s expected to arrive in 2 days. I have some gigs next week that need backing tracks, so I need to get up to speed quickly. Your videos are incredibly clear and helpful-thank you! The style voices turning on and off is such a great feature. I also have an MX61 Synth with amazing tones, but I feel the PSR’s rhythms will be better suited for creating great tracks. Your step by step tutorial is great. Looking forward to using my keyboard!
Thanks so much, and that’s awesome congrats! And yes you will love the 473 it’s an awesome keyboard! Thanks for checking out the channel feel free to subscribe
Please sir for example am trying to sequence a beat on this keyboard psr e473 and for example I want it long for like maybe 30min please how do I do it because I don’t want to keep playing for like 30 min I want it to keep repeating it self after playing like maybe 3 min
If you want chord changes to happen automatically, you cannot do that with this keyboard (you would need to record the 30 mins worth either as MIDI or audio and then play it back). Thanks for checking out the channel, feel free to subscribe
Hi, I got this keyboard and I have trouble to playing along with a wav and midi file on an USB stick! Do you have an advise for me, please, how to do this right? Thanks so very much in advance!
Hi there - check out pages 35-37 of the manual, it goes over how to play back songs on a stick. You press the SONG/AUDIO button; if it is on SONG that is MIDI; you can use the wheel to scroll through available MIDI songs-the first 30 are built in demo songs, then 31-40 are MIDI songs YOU have recorded on the keyboard, then songs numbered 41 or higher are MIDI songs on the USB stick. If you press SONG/AUDIO again it will switch from SONG (MIDI) to AUDIO (.wav; ONLY on the USB drive); then once on AUDIO you can use the wheel to scroll through the .WAV files on the USB stick. Hope that helps! Thanks for checking out the channel feel free to subscribe
Another great video on backing tracks. I like your process flow for this tutorial. As a performer, and one who has used the same resources that you have (Karaoke-version, BiaB, iReal Pro, etc.), I prefer using already created songs, and download MIDI files as a start, then superimpose the 473 styles on top to create a blend for tracks I want to originate. This way, I get a fast track method to creating songs. Another thing is to use the 473 registrations for song parts (intro/outro, verse, chorus, bridge, etc). This requires a bit of finesse and timing, but it works. Any thoughts?
I don't play the piano but i know chords. My keyboard allows me to play chords with one finger when i set it to rhythm style. I had one in the 80s that recorded my music and i could play it back and play my guitar with it. But I've had 3 keyboards that do not record my music....only whats already on it. I am trying to produce my own music for songs i have written. Which brand is right for my needs?
Pretty much any arranger nowadays will allow you to record your rhythm and accompaniment the way you mention (the PSR-E473/EW425 do a great job of that, and they also have a mic input to record vocals with effects). So you could record that as an audio file, play it back and play along easily. And then you could copy it to a pc/iPad with DAW software (Garageband etc) and then record your guitar on top on another track (you would need an audio interface for your guitar; you could also add in vocals later using it as well). Hi there; not sure exactly what you're asking. If you want to use the accompaniment bass, you can mute the other style parts. If you want to manually play bass, choose a bass voice and you can play it on your own. Thanks for checking out the channel feel free to subscribe

Hello again and thanks for your nice help! I still have a problem to play along with wav! Is the reason for this, maybe that I imported the file?

Thanks! What do you mean by "superimpose the 473 styles on top of downloaded MIDI"?
@@PianoTone Use the downloaded MIDI song as the base backing track, and add other 473 tracks to personalize the performance!
@@lgovantes1 Wow that sounds cool; synching styles must be challenging (finesse and timing!)
yeah. this is way more better.
