    As an American I have no problem following your language. Love it actually. I first saw your video about cooking a roast chicken. Laughed my ass off . Now I am hooked . Good job and keep trying to cook over a fire . I've been cooking over a camp fire for years and it gets easier as you learn . All the best Gail .

    I've camped in many such places myself , over the years , , it always seems that I could hear the whispers of those ancient ones that were there before , their laughter and maybe the voices of those rejoicing in the eating of fresh meat , , but I never heard a banjo playing . .

      I used to see those crags from the road heading north on the A696 and wondered what they were. There is a lot of history asscociated with that area, ancient settlements, old drover's road, cave, devils punch bowl and medieval village.

    Great stuff Damian. Looked a good laugh :) Those rock formations looked really interesting and some did indeed look like they'd been carved into faces, which wouldn't surprise us by the sounds of the history of the place. Love places with lots of history as it gives that lovely mystical feeling to the place, especially at sunset. Looking forward to the next one! All the best, Gareth&Zoe Wildcamps

    beautiful spot! and loving your imagination running away with you.. sweet!
    oh i think you're right about those pittings especially the more modified ones.. probably used to grind down wheat or whatnot.. like a giant mortar and pestle ( like modern day positioning of sinks with a window for a view).. and what a view.

    Brilliant, Made my day, plenty shite gettin talked. Good to see the Yeti on form, shame he never got a sheep for humpin, never mind maybe next time hahaha
    The smaller holes in the sandstone are caused by pebbles and larger stones, over the years the surface wears away and the pebbles become visible, it does not take long for the weather to get into them, and the frost eventually pops them, or they come naturally loose
    The big hole has definitely come from a mallet and chisel, keep them coming guys, better than TV by the way the Yeti would be just as well on the tabs, his inhalers never oot o he's gob haha

    Funny you mention about the person who asked you to speak English......I ran into a young Brit at the top of Mount Washington on Vancouver Island a week ago. When I asked where he was from, he told me he had been accused of being an Aussie but I could tell he was from Yorkshire, then when he asked me, I had to tell him that I'm no Brit - born in South Shields - his response was immediate......."that is correct, you're no Brit"......howay the Geordies !

    Good stuff Damien. Great craic funny chat. Loving the area. Good bivvi spots indeed. Might need to have a visit. See the lone wind turbine there. I tested the concrete foundation. Had to drive into the field. The fungi is birch polypore it makes excellent tinder. There may be Cup and ring markings up there. Looks a likely spot. Or somewhere for yetis to rest their cans in. 🍻 great video as per. Made us laugh out loud at times. It's all about the laughs. Ye shouldn't do the horns mind 🤘🤘

    Them rocks. thats sea erosion, but why is it so high up. Thats crazy.

    • @Fell_Wanderer
      @Fell_Wanderer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What you are seeing with sedimentary rock is ancient sea bed from millions of years ago. With plate tectonics, what was once sea bed could be raised to become mountains with ancient sea fossils in the rock. At Shaftoe Crags the boulders are probably left like that at the end of the ice age when the ice melted and the glazier retreated, leaving large boulders in the positions they are now.

The land was restored to the family through the marriage of bobby shafto and his wife anne. Im maybe wrong please correct me if im wrong. Its hard to understand when so many shaftos have the same names throught there family line. Lol and has never changed my father up to my great grandfather are all named thomas 😂 Im still learning in hopes of finding my connection of relations to the shafto family.

      @@Fell_Wanderer good cause you wouldn’t want to be associated with scum like Freemasons. If you knew what those people are responsible for, you’d want nothing to do with their symbology or esoteric occultism. There are energies and subconscious meanings to these mantric hand gestures and symbols that are demoralising and sensitising to evil. Thanks for the reply Damien mate. Perhaps I could fill you in more on the topic if I see you around sometime 👍 talking blood sacrifice and satanism sec magik. It’s a very real thing you know.... 99% of the high social class are in elite bloodlines whom have ruled the world for thousands of years. I have a very well cited and extensive book on the matter 😉 keep up the good work, look forward to seeing some more content. The time lapses you used to do were cracking mate, coming to the time for some wicked sunsets/rises again.

    I hate it when he puts his radio on and listens to shite. Leave it at home and just listen to nature.
