Ha, that "Dying for Pie" storyboard page at 17:23 is actually from my own copy I scanned a couple years ago. Happy to see it still making its rounds on the internet!
I think the reason why the deleated scene in Clams was removed was probably because Nickelodeon forgot that Mr Krabs' mother was still alive, she had been in some episodes, including Mid-Life Crustacean
I remember when the red mist scene from "Spongebob in Randomland" aired only within the first day(s) of the episode's release before it was replaced with infant squidward for good. When I first watched the episode, I thought "oh cool, a creepypasta reference". But when I watched the same episode a few days later, I didn't see the red mist scene anywhere within the episode. Because the episode always shown the second version always aired instead of the first, I thought that all the creepypastas I was reading was getting to my head. The dozens of youtube videos though that talk about the reference in the episode, just now confirmed that, what I saw was real.
Damn straight, you did! We ALL did! Gotta admire the limits the crew were pushing! That scene alone, ALMOST didn't make it, but it somehow did! (at least until the last minute that scene was replaced of course...)

But we all know better. 😅😂
12:41 in the Hebrew dub, SpongeBob's line was "don't worry, the sponge grows back" with ido's delivery being more gentle and almost a bit grandfatherly.
@@Jamgessy Yeah, maybe Nickelodeon thought it was too scary for kids that are not familiar with "Red Mist", which makes sense because most kids wouldn't react well to the 2006 written 2010 creepypasta about Squidward shooting himself dead in his room. I remember seeing the red mist scene on tv while on vacation, at the time I didn’t know about the creepypasta or anything and when I saw the scene on tv I actually got jumpscares since it was just out of nowhere and unexpected coming from SpongeBob, since my dad was near me and wasn’t watching he questioned why I just jumped and I had no words about what just happened
A lot of episodes that aired after 9/11 was either post poned or cancelled. It's understandable. Like the episode of Pokemon with giant Tentacruel destroying towers. That was kinda dark
When the 'RED MIST' thing in September two years back happened, I was terrified. Not to mention that someone I knew actually tried to SUE the spongebob crew for that.

He declared them both husband and wife. At the end of the flashback when everyone was mad and said ‘This is the worst play ever!’ the person said “This is a play?” So they are (in law) married.
Red Mist reference is the kind of thing you'd never expect. That's why it'd work perfectly. Although it'd probably be nightmare fuel for kids so I understand why it got cut
As SOON as I saw the Hyper-realistic eye'd Squidward in Spongebob in Randomland, I literally screamed out loud, and also typed on discord, and I quote: "YES! THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THE CREEPYPASTAS!!!"
The Red Mist scene was pretty clever cuz veteran SpongeBob fans would understand that reference despite being scary for kids. Dear lord the replacement scene is stupid and it almost seems like Nickelodeon and Viacom still except the season 5-9a writers’ twisted fetishes. 😓
I mean it makes sense why it was removed though. If someone does not know what it means, they might try to look it up and come across it. The creepypasta, although being fictional, can be very disturbing to some people, especially to kids. As a largely watched show, producers don't want viewers to end up watching disturbing content because of a scene in they placed in their show, especially if kids are seeing it. It makes sense why it was removed.
Weirdly, they removed the Just One Bite scene with the Gasoline because of 9/11, yet Band Geeks, which came out 4 days before still has that blimp’s exploding joke to this day.
A little bit of additional information to 2 of the episodes mentioned here. -During some Convention a few years, Tom Kenny said that for Sailor Mouth the actors actually swore real curse words because it was too hard to immitate words that sounded similar or something like that; -For the Randomland episode with the Red Mist reference, apparently in original plans Red Mist squidward was supposed to slowly come closer to the screen before Squidward slams the door

I would just love to watch entire seasons of Spongebob just made exactly as the creators wanted, just as modern adult cartoons hosted on so many platforms... I would love that, and I would definitely pay to watch that. Thanks for these videos and keep it up ❤️
Yeah when I first saw Squidward open the door to see Squidward Suicide I was like, "hold on what?" it kinda scared me. It still creeps me out, even if it was deleted.
There is actually a version of Randomland Red Mist Squidward that didn’t make it to airing. Originally there were storyboards showing the Red Mist Squidward head coming closer and closer to the screen. Unsurprisingly, it was unaired due to the creepiness about something coming closer and closer to you, and just like you said, Strider, the creators backpedaled on the reference to the creepypasta as well! I kinda love these storyboards, and I’m sad these were cut! The creepiness factor of these storyboards were very interesting and I would love to see these actually made. I am also sad that it got cut in favor of a poop joke! Who likes poop jokes!?
@@bestnikistaa I kinda am happy that it was cut because it was creepy. But I’m also sad, because I hate that it was removed in favor of a pooping.... baby.... Squidward..... 😖
Also funny how in that FUN episode, they remove the "gun pointing" thing, yet Plankton clearly says "Uranium BOMBS!" during the song. :P Kid me didn't notice it because well...I was a kid. Wasn't really trying to listen to words, just get into the antics. But now I notice what he was saying, ahaha...And I quit watching Spongebob so many years ago!
In the Spongebob in random land one that “squidward in the mist” caught me off guard when I first watched it, I can’t believe that it has been removed though, as it shows that the squidward creepy pasta could and could not be its own dimension. But when I watched it when it first came out I was pretty shocked after that scene.
When those random scenes got deleted from Procrastination, I thought I was going crazy. I remember him see Patrick and Sandy, and his nose exercising, so when it was deleted I was beyond confused. I was like “Did I remember this right? Am I crazy? Where did it go??” So you addressing it made me regain a little bit of my sanity😂😂
I always liked the idea that they never made Sandy and Spongebob romantic with each other or even really gave Spongebob any form of actual romantic love except for that Krabby Patty, Patty. lol This seems to happen in many other shows with the MC and the friend side character. Edit: Very good Squidward voice impersonation. If they ever need an Aussie Squidward, you should try out. lol
them deleting the red mist one basically made their own creepypasta, cause picture this: you saw the randomland episode, and you see the red mist squidward, you're shocked, and later you text/call your friend to talk to them about it, but they've only seen the version with the infant, so they question what you mean about it. confused, you go to rewatch it and only see the infant, no red mist reference to be seen.
that one of Patrick rubbing lotion on Sandy's back wouldn't look bad if she was on her stomach and Patrick was then putting lotion on her back it would look okay then
If they kept the deleted scene of Spongebob waking up next to the patty in his underwhere would have made it a lot more disgusting since Spongy eats the patty at the end of the episode
Spongebob: Sponge on the Run was probably made entirely made just to honor Steven Hillenberg’s memory, with all of the visual references within the movie.
But i'm pretty sure he didn't want any spin off shows or new movies after sponge out of water. I could be wrong I'm just going off memory, heard about it a while ago so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
5:30 Fun fact: Said mobile game was called "Sponge On The Run". It was mobile tie-in for the SECOND movie, it was released even before the original title for the 3rd movie, "It's a Wonderful Sponge", was shown. Also, about Sponge On The Run movie, one of the concept arts that were shown were SpongeBob, Patrick and Squidward on an alien station/ship, and there's also one where SpongeBob and Patrick were in a hell-like place.
Okay, so I’ve been on a Spongebob related binge of stuff on multiple platforms and one thing you never mentioned about the Red Mist removal is that it supposedly meant to be 15 SECONDS long with its own composed track! The creators really wanted this homage to be unique, and the track can still be found online I believe. It’s truly amazing.
When I heard about the red mist reference, me and my sibling had decided to watch the episode ourselves on demand (we have charter as our TV and Wi-Fi provider) and freaked out when we actually saw it being real
16:09 this is true because in season 9 episode 1 she says in Squirrel Record to woodchucks she chucked “thanks for your help cousins!” And “See you all next christmas!”
In the episode where Krab’s leave the restroom in his underpants one of the fish says “oh yeah, we are defiantly outta here”, he’s totally nude, so what’s he complaining about?
I remember seeing the gas exploding, hearing "Who's the doctor here" and seeing the blood pouring out, and most importantly the red mist scene all on live TV
Fun fact: for Rami’s Spider-Man 1, there was a trailer where he stops burglars in a plan by webbing them up between the two towers. You can guess why they deleted it, but if you want you can still find this trailer today.
I absolutely remember the gas explosion scene when I was a kid and I thought it was really hilarious! I mean, I grew up in the 90's so I knew obviously you can't drop anvils and put TNT down... I mean it makes sense why it was removed though. If someone does not know what it means, they might try to look it up and come across it.
