Hello from Germany! Just recently came across your channel and I immediately subscribed - love it! Especially this series, loved all the promoted brands and the idea to support smaller designers. Looking forward to more!
I love these videos!! So excited to keep watching this series :D and really appreciate the effort you put into all your videos!! Thank you so much for introducing me to flid!!!
I enjoy learning from you about new designers. Your style is very natural and refreshing. You remind me of Caribbean women. Whatever growth you are experiencing is well deserved. May the algorithm continue to be kind to your channel!
I love this series! Thank you for putting so much time and research into showing smaller pattern designers! Looking forward to more videos in this series.
Loved your video . I’m a life-time sewer (from age 14 to 80) and still loving innovation and contact with young, dynamic sewers and designers like yourself, and these fascinating new-on-the-scene Scandinavians. Thank you for being inspirational, and greetings from Israel.
Thanks for putting the work in to bring us such an informative video Steph. I'll definitely be investigating a few designers I wouldn't have heard of otherwise.
Love this series, Steph. Extra fun to see pattern designers from my own country, of course, and Flid published a sewing book a couple of years ago that I own. I need to make some of those patterns up.
You are beautifully articulate and knowledgeable. More, more, more. I bought Brigitta Helmersson's book, and I am already making the first project. Thanks so much.
Love these international designers. How refreshing. I have already downloaded 2 patterns and have my eye on a few more. Thank you for the time spent researching these designers, I appreciate your work💖
Thanks for posting this! Immensely appreciated. Never heard or seen any of these in pattern directories. I'm on the lookout for unique and individualist patterns to create fun clothes. If only I had an unlimited budget for sewing...
You are too funny about the HTDF white dress!! Can totally see the scene🤣🤣 I love HTDF's beautiful designs. I'd like to try Beklaedt's Lupin and Flid's Grethe dresses for traveling this summer!
Gorgeous video, loved the puff and pencil designs so much, I want to make all her dresses!! cant wait to see japanese designers if you're planning on doing a video on them :)
Love seeing this Scandinavian designers getting some hype. While most of them don't design for my size yet, it's nice to hear that they're putting some work and effort into it. Beautiful designs highlighted here, and the dress you made is stunning.
Thrilled to have found your channel! I’ve been unsuccessfully looking for sewing designers from this part of the world. You do a fantastic job “on air” and I’m delighted. I’ve subscribed and will absolutely search out these designers on social. Ya made my day. 😊
I looooove all of these features! How cool!! And definitely looking forward to when you can get to the non-English-speaking countries 🤩 What a great idea for a series!!
Have just discovered your channel and love your videos! Im a South African sewing in Scotland ❤ the sew international series is super interesting thank you
Thank you for continuing the global tour. Italy (Marfy?) next? One major consideration perhaps to flag regards How to Do Fashion. I purchased a printed pattern only to find out it does NOT come with instructions. It is a bit cheeky to sell printed envelope but not include anything else. They don’t even flag this in big letters on envelope. Agree their styles are wonderful, and your commentary matches the fun. I’ve yet to sew it. Your green top is lovely print, and enjoy the array of prints behind you. Thank for your effort in making polished videos.
Just letting you know after looking around on their website they have instructions listed under the Library tab in case you didn't know they were there. Although I agree it's strange they weren't included in your printed pattern because obviously you would want them, but I guess you're expected to print them manually.
I like what you are wearing in this video. Did you make it? Is it a top or a dress? The red dress is gorgeous! And I love the fabric you displayed do you know if it is still available? Can’t wait for your next video, they are very informative!
After your last video, I immediately bought one of Johanna's books. I've been watching her videos for about a year now, and her tips are so helpful! I love the modular patterns from Puff and Pencil. What a cool idea.
Love your videos! Really cracked up at you wanting to make that one dress in white while throwing a drink at someone. You're very talented, informative and have just the right amount of snarkiness to be awesome.
Another great brand from denmark is Schultzapparel, she makes vintige inspired patterns as well :D I've made 5 of her patterns now, so safe to say she is my favorite pattern maker! :D
Thanks for the Scholtzapparel referral, I really like the catalog look: a photo and a drawing of the garment style (so helpful!), the selection has a cute vintage feel and seem to be well designed too, plus they have an Etsy shop of the same name, so its easy to shop.
I was new to, and falling in love with sewing only to be crushed finding out my local sewing store only had two small binders of Burda patterns. I thought i would have to learn drafting to make anything cool but you've opened my eyes to a whole other world of options. I can't wait to explore! This is gonna get expensive 😬
Thank you, thank you! I only found you recently so this designer series is my first with you! You are a fabulous hostess and I love your analyses! Wonderful!
subscribed! you really have the best sewing channel Ive seen so far. Thank you for finding all these amazing designers! If you haven't already, I would love a video on russian designers. I love some of their silhouettes.
Thank you Steph! Love to see another sewing Steph, and appreciate the kind words. Russia does indeed have some fantastic designers. I've hesitated on sharing just because I know many aren't purchasing from Russia right now- really hopeful circumstances will change soon 🤞🏾
This was great! How To Do Fashion was the only one I'd heard of before (and I have agonised over which patterns of theirs to try first...) so I've got some browsing to do 😎
I cant stop looking at your sewing room behind you in your videos. I really want to know how you have organised your fabrics and what you are using to store them upright like that? My craft space is a mess! Yours is a dream!! 🤩 thank you for your great videos too! :D
Ooo so the fabric shelves are super easy! It's just a Billy bookcase from IKEA, and then the fabric is folded and rolled onto comic book backing boards! True Bias has a great tutorial on it, but the boards are really cheap. I love this method- you really get to see all your fabrics at once 😈
"I want to make it in white and throw a drink in someone's face while wearing it" 💀 Loved the last video, running over to Instagram to follow everyone now...
Thank you so much for including my brand in your video, Steph! :D
One of my favourite TH-camrs...❤ Your content is uber cool sewing patterns which inspires me to create my own style. Never heard of half of these!
As some who’s always looking for new brands I really appreciate this video! Thanks for sharing 😊
Your red dress is absolutly gorgeous!! ❤❤❤
Ok wowww, the puff and pencil website 😮 such a great idea to have a pattern builder! Thanks for video Steph 🙏🏾❤
I love this selection of designers ive not heard of. I plan to look them all up and have a binge shop.
😂 I wear white & tomato sauce appears from nowhere! Thanks for the info on these designers--a lot of talent & lovely work.

Great review. I wish I could access some of these designers in the US. Could you provide links? Thank you.
I don't see the Billy coat on the Flid site. Love it! Ah, I found it in the made to order section. Hope she comes out with a pattern.
There is a pattern for it too!
"I want to make it in white and throw a drink in someone's face while wearing it" 💀
Loved the last video, running over to Instagram to follow everyone now...
Can a paper pattern be purchased from any of these?
Are the flid patterns really £180 per Pdf pattern?! So excited until I saw the price. Gosh....
Hey Robyn! Flid's patterns are in Norwegian Kroner, so that would be more like £13.
@@StephSewn Thank you! I thought it converted it on the website and it looked so expensive.
I am also in my meatball era,
just found you and enjoyed your informational international designer video. as an old sewest/seamstress one can always learn something🫶🏽🪡
