Fascinating topic! I enjoy seeing other applications of my profession as a Metrology Engineer in an industrial metrology/calibration laboratory. The skills and tools are the same. Thanks for an interesting post!

Thanks a lot for the quality, the efforts that all of you guys have to do. I've learned a lot, and the point is that it's my favorite channel... erh I don't know if it's true but I've heard that the 70% of the channels that talks about guns will be restricted, and I don't know if this channel will go on, or the other thing that I've heard is that the subscribers we will have to pay ... Well here is the question. What it's exactly happening? . Thank you very much to all of you, I spend a great moments, and I' ve learn a lot about the guns world , and personally I think that all the people who love guns agree with me that you are doing a wonderful job. Here in Europe the laws will restric our freedom about our passion ... the guns, well that's the way it is...

Thank you very much for this. I have the 5700 Applied Ballistic KESTREL I am a huge fan of it and of your work. My question is this; I zero my 6.5 creedmoor at 100 yards. I am using the Litz curve for my 143g ELDX Hornady round, I hit 10" high at 1000yrds. I adjust the "MV adjust" like you mention. But now I'm off at 200, and 400, (less as I got out to 1000.) I then adjust for the 400, but now my 1000 is off. any suggestions please?

You think you need to correct the BC.
Velocity, drop and BC is like a math triangle. You know two of them and you can calculate the last one.
Start going 0.02 BC higher each time and you will get the two to fit together. Or borrow a chrono to figure it out. Please watch that the ammo temp too.

Any good articles on DSF? I thought only G1 models needed multi BC to be good.

If you are referencing a G1 B.C into your ballistic calculator, it will not be very accurate. You need to reference the G7 B.C for ballistic calculators. Also, when calibrating a ballistic solution, it's advised (per Bryan Litz in his books) to calibrate the MV in the supersonic region of the bullet(above 1340 fps) then when the bullet reaches transonic distances is when you adjust the B.C to compensate for the drop correction factor.

My understanding is G1 is accurate in the super sonic range. G7 more accurate in trans sonic.

Why is it so difficult to get a refund on this app if it does not work for me? I have tried all other avenues with no luck I have no Bluetooth devices. This program is useless to me.

If it doesn’t work for you, then it’s most likely due to user error and the information you’ve placed into it. If you put incorrect information into a kestrel, you will get incorrect shot calls.

@@cwoodside907 I doesn't work for me because my Kestrel is not Bluetooth compatible, as in not compatible with my equipment. I have other programs that work just fine. Such as Sierra's Infinity.
