If I were to apply, I'd love to do bibbidi bobbidi boutique or children's activities because I love working with kids and I'm studying to become an elementary teacher. Sad that those jobs can be trickier to get though 😭

I’m really really hoping I get to do the DCP! I’ve still got a little time before I’m able to apply but it’s an actual dream of mine and I LOVE the disney parks so much! I really want to work attractions, specifically a “performing” attraction such as Jungle Cruise. I’d also love to be a tour guide because I love trivia and little details and am lowkey a know-it-all and would adore being able to share info about something I love with different groups daily! Though I honestly don’t know if that’s available through DCP.

Yes those kind of roles are possible, as are roles like Safari if I am not mistaken.
Also domestic students can work the trams and I got parking operations for Spring 2020 so that is possible.
I just think you have to have a valid driver’s license and be able to know long spiels. To me, my phone interview felt highly indicative of what roles they were considering me for.
I was dreaming about this 5 years before I applied, interviewed and got selected. So I have been in your shoes and let me tell you you can do this! Go for it!

SA 2018 Front Desk Alumni here! TOTALLY spot on regarding Front Desk. It's a very fulfilling job and the leadership is absolutely immaculate. Plenty of opportunity to create magic! A lot of pressure with upset guests, but it makes for great stories! Depending on location you can have the opportunity to be cross trained in bell services (as a greeter) & runner. Runner gives you the opportunity to log packages, deliver amenities to guest rooms, pick up amenities from other locations across Disney World property (including entering the parks mid-shift!), assisting with guest room key services, etc. Front Desk was THE BEST role ever--especially being in the AC the majority of the time! A lot of fun, definitely a top pick.
i’m far away from being in college but I’ve always wanted to do this program and work at tower of terror because everyone tells me I have this great resting face that matches the whole theme of the ride and I agree haha
I really want to apply in college, and I love acting so I really want to be a character performer, and I also love interacting so I would love to work in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (I think I spelled that wrong but oh well), or possibly Merchandise. Another role would be Photo Pass, bit its more of a moderate interest of mine. It still will be really fun if I get that role though! I really like pin trading as well. I’m only in middle school, but I really want to do the DCP and I am already researching because it is a literal dream of mine. I have been going to the parks for years and my mom’s cousin did the DCP a few years ago in Merchandise and I have wanted to do it ever since. These videos are amazing and I think you are super cool! I definitely wanna watch all of your videos on the DCP!
I was a Monorail CP for Spring 2020. Cps don't drive unless you extend your program. (They do let you do a victory lap after you pass your assessment so we do get to drive once! We do a lot of audience control at night and we work the platforms in the morning which means we'd help guest get on/off the monorail, alert the pilot to when its okay to shut the doors, and dispatch the monorail when it is ready to leave.

I love your videos you are honestly one of the few where I can just feel your passion. I'm a Fall 2017 alumni I was a seater at Cape May at the Beach Club and I had the time of my life!!! (So I was there for Hurricane Irma) and that was fun too because I signed up for ride-out crew and all the staff just got to hang out together with the guests and we got to come up with a ton of things to let the guests be able to enjoy their vacation even if they couldn't go to the parks. It was character dining as well for breakfast and whenever I got mornings it was the best because you got to dance with the characters and all the kids. I truly recommend the seater role, you do a lot more than you think!

I’m going to be a senior in HighSchool this year, and i am so excited to apply once I am in college. ( though I probably won’t do it my freshmen year. Just depends) I would love to be a character performer, photopass, or maybe even custodial. Ahh I just love Disney, and it would be so amazing to be able to work there everyday for a few months. I hope I will be able to do it and maybe even twice! Thank you for the video!

Just stumbled upon this but I was a Fall ‘19 qsfb cp and absolutely loved it! (food and wine festival) and i just got accepted for fall adv costuming and couldn’t be more excited!! i feel like its such an underrated role and everyone in the role absolutely adores their work, so pumped!

How long did it take for you to hear back after your application was received? I submitted mine last night and I’m already stressed because all it says is “application received”
@@shannonbc1029 This might not be much help, but I submitted mine the first day the application dropped and I'm still waiting. Most everyone will say that everyone moves at different paces! Good Luck with your application!

If I could do DCP I would totally be a Photo Pass attendee or lifeguard
it makes me very optimistic that you expressed that your friends enjoyed their roles. i’m always nervous that if i happened to go into the program and got a role that wasn’t my top role, i would be still hopeful. :)
I got my last choice role but it turned out to be so fun and awesome! :)
Also Goofys Candy Co is food and safety and alcohol trained . . . Not that it matters now

hi! this is kind of a weird question, but i was wondering if you need like any professional photography experience to be considered for the photopass role? it was definitely the one that interested me the most out of the ones you described in this video, but i'm not sure if amateur photography qualifies me for that role
In one of her other videos she says that there is no experience needed. She was experienced but she said some people in her training had never picked up a camera.
I was watching the official videos on Disney’s website, and there was a little interview with a CP who did PhotoPass, and she said there was absolutely no experience needed, though she, like you (and me!), did some amateur photography beforehand.
Disney will give you all the training you need for any role including photopass :)

I'm applying for my second program, but I did QSFB, and the location was meh, but I loved my hours because I always had overtime, but it was really the coordinators that treated me like their own, and always took care of me that help me finish it. Also, my roommates were the best and knowing that I had them to come home too, made the hard days worth it.

I’m a current CP lifeguard at Yacht and Beach and I love it sooooooo much! But yeah we work really closely with recreation attraction CMs. They do slide operations but I think they’re sometimes also the pool attendants that check the chemicals and whatnot and they also run the gates for scanning magic bands and stuff to make sure only resort guests enter the pool deck.
If I have a tattoo on my ankle am I still able to do lifeguard??
Ahhhh this video is so informative!! I’m hoping to apply for next spring and i’m trying to figure out what to highlight on my application. Do you have any application tips? I’ve always been interested in the photo pass position (I‘ve been doing photography for a while now) and also attractions. I’m so nervous that i’m not even gonna get an interview

@@kaitlyn_kostelnik It went well! Lasted about 25 mins and got a lot of questions pertaining to my top role. The only bad thing was, living in dorms, people like to scream in the hallways a lot so that threw me off a bit, but otherwise very good!

i know this is an older video, but i am recreation attractions for spring 2020 and my role is spa! so i'll be front desk at a spa. it also includes the fitness centers, slide ops like you said, and the marina :)

My bf is doing watercraft I’m low key excited for him but sad he’s leaving (we are from Texas)
Lifeguards at resorts can be deploy trained at other resorts if the management is willing to train you (telling you how the pool is divided between the lifeguards, p much). Doesn't happen often but sometimes locations are short with call-outs and are desperate for extra people so you can get lucky! Once you're deploy trained you can pick up at those locations or trade shifts with people who are trained at your home resort. I always wanted to be deploy trained lmao
Attractions also covers crowd control for fireworks and parades (PAC/FW), and theater shows! I genuinely loved PAC/FW but be aware that you might not get a ride if you're going into attractions
Children's activities also have to be CPR and first aid trained just like lifeguards are! So it's still a very safety critical role, just no water rescue stuff
I feel like I should do photo pass because I already somehow end up helping people take pictures when I go to Disney on vacation. One of my first memories of going to Magic Kingdom when I was 12 (my first time EVER) is helping a group of girls take pictures in front of the castle. Then on my senior trip, I took pictures of people in front of the castle 😂

If I could work through DCP, I would definitely wanna be a character performer or costuming!! I know there is no specific role for dancers, but I dream of dancing in the parade! I’ve been a dancer for 17 years so would love character performer and I’m a trained makeup artist and beauty therapist so I would love costuming! 🥺❤️

Hi, I really appreciate learning about the various roles you mentioned. I am not in college or university so I don't meet the requirements for the Disney College Program. I am from Toronto Canada and interested in working at a Disney theme park in the United States or a cruise line though. Any help you can provide for my situation ?
When I’m older I want to work at Disney now that I have seen these videos. I would want to work outside selling ice cream,somebody who gets you in the park,picture person, or one of the people who help you when you go see Elsa or something that gets you into the area to see her. I would LOVE working outside because I love heat...it’s just so warm!Disney world has given me some of the best expierences.exept for the times I got sick from eating dairy because I’m lactose intolerant.Or when I was scared of the beast like YEARS ago.
I’m a history major considering doing this for either Fall 2021 or 2022! I would love to do something with One Man’s Journey in Hollywood Studios to talk about Walt Disney’s history. Which role is appropriate for that particular area?
I have those red Minnie ears with white dots and a black bow I got it in Disneyland in 2017 or 2018 September or something I heard they’re rare now when I went to DisneyWorld last October everyone kept saying they loved my ears and they couldn’t find them anywhere 😊

Has anyone ever been rejected less than 12 hours after doing the PI? I haven't got the rejection email but dashboard says I'm no longer in consideration. It's my first time applying and just wondering how can they decide so quickly when my recruiter said it would take weeks?
How is the shifts for qf&b outdoor vendor ? I’m just concerned I won’t get like heat exhaustion working long shifts... and knowing I’ll be myself worries me in case I need to use the restroom lol

If I were to apply, I'd love a guest regulations, tour guide or character attendant job cause I love working with people and I'm like a huge Disney expert and love the characters, or work in the restaurant aspect of Disney cause Culinary is one of my passions. My dream is to work for Walt Disney Imagineering one day.

Hi! I'm looking into applying for DCP in a few years! I was wondering is there a time limit for how long you can be a face character, and can you be a character once you are out of DCP?

Ill be doing the DCP in around 2 years, and I'm looking to doing the Spring 2022. Anyways, do you have to send your application in as early as you are? It just seems so early for the Fall 2020.

I am about to start my program for the Spring 2020 semester in Orlando. I got rejected the first time and then I went back & did a lot of internet research and watched many TH-cam videos. I implemented all the instructions: you might feel like you are being fake in “being strong with your answer choices” (assuming you make it to the WBI) but that is what you would in a real life interview.
If you do not make it, you are not an inferior person. So just go show the best of you and have a supercalifragilistic day ✨
Do you have to be super familiar with photography in order to get photopass or will they train you from scratch? I feel I would love the role but I don’t know much about photography
that's exactly what i was thinking haha. I've heard a lot of good things about it but I was worried because I don't have much photography experience.
if i remember correctly from when i went in july and asked, she said that they train you.
Phoebe Alvarado they didn’t offer me the role because it’s been a year since I last went to school for a class I took in photography so they actually are a bit picky.

Hi I know I'm really late to this video but oh well, for attractions is it only like operating the rides or could it be like when your waiting in line for journey into imagination and a cast member asks how many members are in you party and decide if they can let you go wait in line or not?

I've been trying to talk myself out of the doing the DCP, but your description of photopass is way too convincing haha. I have an interview next week, and the only roles I marked interest in were character attendant and photopass. I've realized since applying I'm only really interested in photopass. Here's hoping!
@Sam Hamilton I actually cancelled my interview the morning of lol. No regrets. Don't think I would have thrived in that environment, and it wouldn't have given me any sort of professional advantage. It's not for everyone.

If i am not mistaken many roles with those shows are selected from professional, unionized workers
for photo pass would you have to be highly trained in photography?? i think this would be so fun. i know basic photography from high school, but it’s not my biggest focus in school and recreation.
You get all the training you need for the job from Disney :)

It's rare for a cp to be friends with a face character (princess) but I know someone who was. It depends what jobs have openings when you audition.
