- ITS FINALLY CHECK-IN DAY! This vlog is a little delayed because the wifi in the complexes is not the best! I'll try to plan ahead next time.
This vlog shows the ins and outs of check-in day, traditions, and roommate gifts!

im a sophomore in high school and i’m SOOO excited to apply to the DCP when im in college. all your roommates seem so nice and fun to live with so i hope when i eventually apply and hopefully get accepted, i’ll have roommates like yours !:)

Ahhh I'm coming April 1st, & since i'm flying in none of my parents are with me, I'll have large suitcases AND my ESA who's still technically a puppy...Yeah, I'm NERVOUS for check in. Since I don't have a car I'll have to take a Lyft and gosh idk if they'll let the Lyft driver in to drop me and I'll have to walk all of that with my stuff.. *screaming into the void*

coming back to this years later and i can say i did a disney college program!! i did fall 2022 and it was one of the best experiences of my life. your videos really inspired me to do the disney college program!

This is gonna sound weird... but I can smell this video. 😂 I basically grew up in Florida (Melbourne Beach, but I live in New York!) and it just has such a distinct smell. It’s always the first thing I notice stepping off the plane, and always have to drive home - well, my grandma’s house - with the windows down. I’ve always wanted to the DCP! I’m about to start my first year of college, and I plan on applying fall advantage for my sophomore year! Your videos have been so helpful to prepare, but also give me a little of that “Gr, I just can’t wait!!”
I totally understand this feeling!! I connect places with smells too. Disney/Florida definitely has distinct smells

It’s first come first serve! My check-in time was 8:15! It was the first out of my roommates so I got to pick my room first. Everyone else’s was around 9 or 930

i remember coming down jan 9th for dcp 19’ ,walmart was flooded with all of us getting things for the program with our families XD

My roommates and I all met through the DCP facebook group! I talk all about the facebook group in my DCP Q&A part 2 video!!

hi !! so im a junior in high school and am currently looking into both dcp and semester at sea (two VERY different things, i know). and i am wondering if you looked into any other programs (internship/abroad) before choosing dcp and also how you found/picked your roommates
I was looking at an australia study abroad compared to disney. I ended up choosing disney because I didn’t want to miss a semester at my college since I loved it (I did disney after I graduated) and there was also no time zone change and my family and boyfriend could visit me really easily since it was so close! Semester at sea seems amazing and you travel the whole world and get real cultural experiences. Disney is amazing too but you’re working for a major company and the closest you get to traveling the world is the world showcase in epcot 😂 very very different options but both are amazing experience

Aw thanks so much!!!!! And omg I was not calm on the inside. You just have to remember to breathe and answer honestly. They're not trying to trick you, they're just trying to see how you would handle certain situations. They are really just trying to make sure you are a genuinely respectful and level-headed person. I'm in the progress of applying! I passed the web interview, and am waiting for another email. :) the only thing I am worried for, and apologize deeply for whoever is in my room with me..... I have a deviated septum so I literally can't breath at night laying down 😂😭 I snore so loud. Im sorry future roommate if I make it through!! 😭😭

I am debating not going because i am nervous to have so many roommates. I’ve had bad experiences with roommates in the past but this made me optimistic that it will be okay and maybe i’ll make some bestfriends for life.

I was so exited to do the DCP, but I found out that you had to be enrolled in a US college! (I live in England) do my dreams are crushed! If anyone knows a loop hole then please!

How do you pick roommates? You kept saying you didnt know if you got the right roommates? And our gift giving mandatory?
You get the choice of only 1 roommate now. You talk to people on the DCP facebook page but there’s no guarantee you’ll get them. Back when I went, you were able to pick up to 3 other roommates. And it’s crazy because you don’t find out until you’re there
and no, gift giving isn’t mandatory!
Do you need the DORMS payment receipt? Is it the administration fee you pay as soon as you get accepted?

Hello! I have a question about DCP, I come from a very city like background and I don’t know how to drive is dcp manageable (Disney world) without a car?
Yes definitely. The buses run very regularly on a schedule to anywhere you’ll need to go. I talk about it in my video called “10 things I wish I knew about the dcp”!
I’m from Germany and I wish I could do the DCP program but sadly I haven’t found any information for foreigners yet.

what camera do you use to vlog? because from what i can see in the mirror in the beginning that looks like a real nice camera! im looking into buying me a good one for vlogging on youtube also! is there any way you could recommend which i should look at or do a video of which one you use or recommend?

How do you choose your roommates? Do you get a list or is it that you know somebody that is going the same time as you
Do you get roomed with boys and girls or is it girls together and boys together?
You choose your roommates from the DCP facebook page that you join! There’s one for every program you can easily find. Now you can only request one person, but when I was there I could request 3. Or you could have them randomly chosen. And you can only room with people of the same gender

@@briannaherring4 You don't have to wear makeup! That's a personal choice. And while you're working you leave your bag with all of your belongings in your break room (they have cubbies and lockers). You're allowed to keep your phone in your pocket for emergencies.

how soon after you moved in did you get your park ticket??
You use your Blue ID as your park ticket until you get your main gate pass in the mail around 2 weeks later!!
And you get your Blue ID at Traditions!

Kailaa Martin You can’t choose your room but you can rank the complexes in the order you would prefer them and usually it works out. And now I think you can only request 1 roommate. I was able to request 3
