- Hey there! This video is everything I know about the role of Children's Activities on the Disney College Program! I definitely think this role is a hidden gem among them and if you love lots of guest interaction, crafts, public speaking and aren't afraid of getting a little messy you'll love it!

I had my PI a week ago and one of the roles I was asked about was children’s activities because of my work experience. I had no idea what types of stuff is involved with this role because there isn’t a lot online, but thank you so much for making this video! I’d be super excited if I do get this role! :)
Wow this easily put children’s activities in my top three role preferences! I’m going to apply for spring 2020 for my first time and I’m soooo excited! My mom is a kindergarten teacher and I help her out in her classroom all the time and we do similar things you mentioned in this video and I always have fun doing it so now I would really love this role!

i went to animal kingdom around 10 years ago (7 or so years old) and one of my best memories was singing and dancing around the animal kingdom lobby while playing the instruments they brought us. it was even better that night to walk into the pool and see that there was a movie set up on the pooldeck and we watched the lion king from floaties in the pool. it was amazing. you truly do create magical moments.

this is my dream role! I did a program in 2018 and was a FANT! CM. it was awesome but I would LOVE to come back and do children's activities!!! hoping the DCP is revived when it is safe!

I am applying Monday for the fall DCP! I would love to do BBB or children’s activities because I’m an elementary music education major and I want to have a lot of children’s guest interaction. this made me so happy and I really hope I get in for it! it sounds like a dream job! For a student learning activity, I had to create my own lesson and teach it and I decided to teach music form through choreography so I taught “trashing the camp” from Tarzan and the kids loved it! Made my heart so happy! I’d love to do that!!

Hey Adrianna! I loooove this role and am super hoping to get it when I apply this month! I am an Education Major and have done so much experience with Kids doing children's ministry and such. I was wondering if I there's a requirement that you have to be lifeguard trained because of the poolside activities?

Omg! I want to be a teacher as well! I have two more semesters of my program left. I graduate next spring (May 2020) and I was wondering how I would apply it as well, also if it was good idea to even do bc ideally we should teach right after college! I don’t know any specifics but I do know that they will accept graduate school students as well! If you have any specific questions I can try and find someone who can answer!

I know this video is really old, buuuut i just found out about the children’s activities role with the DCP and i have a question, with the poolside activities were you ever required to actually get in the pool for an activity?? Ik thats a weird question but not only can I not swim but i don’t wear swim suits for religious reasons and I’m worried that might be required if i get to apply for DCP. Love the video!! 💕

Hey I really liked this video! I haven’t seen a whole anyone else you works this job on TH-cam. I noticed that you have a tattoo on the side of your wrist and I know that that is against Disney look but there are ways to cover it up. Do you use makeup? And how does that work when you’re poolside and could get wet?
Hey! I use a sleeve most of the time but I have coworkers who use waterproof makeup! I’m going to make a video on this soon!

What if you apply for this role and get it. But you have already taken CPR for your college major? I’m studying early childhood education and I’ve already taken first aid and CPR and stuff like that. And I already have a certificate for them to prove it?

Hello! It was probably about three-ish days and a lot of fun! You get to try all of the activities you do with guests which makes the time fly by!
Are you usually alone in this role or do you usually have at least one other cast member to rely on?

do you need to be CPR certified, what if youre not?
Did you have to purchase your own shoes? Or did costuming provide them?
Some roles provide the shoes but for children’s activities we had to purchase ours!
I had my phone interview yesterday and my interviewer asked questions about working with kids and i’m lowkey stressed about the public speaking now lol
I just scheduled my phone interview for spring 2020, but I am really worried about finances, if you don't mind my asking how many hours would you get a week? and is it doable to do the program with other bills besides the rent?
you can get anywhere from about 25 to 40+ hours a week. it just depends on your role, your location, and if you’re able/willing to pick up shifts. if you have other bills to pay, like student loan payment or a car payment it becomes a lot more difficult. you definitely have to budget and save most of your money. you don’t have as much money to spend on things you don’t “need” like merchandise and extra food and snacks and things. you’ll have to be really smart about budgeting for groceries and gas. it’s pretty difficult honestly. after your rent is taken out you don’t have much left over. i highly highly recommend saving as much money as you can to have before you leave so it will be less difficult. and keep in mind you’ll have to live on that until you get that first paycheck a few weeks in! if you have other payments you have to make you have to be willing to make sacrifices but i think the disney college program is well worth it! don’t let that be the reason you don’t go for it!

You sure can!! People do it all the time and I 100% encourage it! I loved spending time in community hall! 💖

Are you working alone a lot of the time?
Not really! You’re always with guests and if you need a coordinator you can always call and campfires HAVE to be with two people!
Is this role difficult to get?
I wouldn’t necessarily say difficult to get but it is a role that less people are accepted for as compared to others because there’s less demand than maybe a role in Merch since there’s SO many stores! People get accepted for it every season!
