I'm a sixteen year old girl who loves the parks and I just got back from Disneyland and I found my new favorite thing to do whenever a cast member gave me a sticker I would put it in my pocket then in lines or when waiting for a show/parade if a little kid around me was a little annoyed or sad because of waiting I would bend down to talk to them and hand them a sticker and their little faces would absolutely light up and their parents would always be so grateful it was a magical experience all around!

I pin trade so I always have extras from newer sets that the kids would want. Whenever I see a kid wanting a certain pin in a trader set I’ll just pull one off my pin bag and watch their face light up😊it’s fun to add along to the magic!

I just went on that tour today. The amount of laundry they do in one day is equivalent to one household doing laundry for 52 years.

That's interesting about the costumes, because it was released by former cast members that the costumes were dirty and smelled all the time. Wonder if this is true of one park or both parks. It shocked me to learn this truth.
my family went to disney about a year ago and i told my mom about the chris from orlando thing. one of the hostesses at a restaurant we went to had the nametag and my mom got so excited she took a picture with her
I had a blast working at Disneyland. It was my first job after getting my Paramedic license. I was a vaunted member of the Disneyland Fire department. I know it sounds boring, wrapping sprains, band aids, etc. But I got to work all over the park, met everyone...it was great. There was a party virtually every night(Not in the park, just get togethers with other cast members), I met lifelong friends, dated other cast members..awesome...I also did the Disney College Program at Disney World in Orlando. Once again, awesome.
My oldest daughter worked as a cast member for six months right out of high school at Walt Disney World.. It was the best experience. Very positive. She was offered a full time position in a supervisory role at the end of her six months. She wanted to continue her education so she turned it down.
I lost my nametag and the replacement took like 3 weeks so i was chris from orlando for a while
Worked there 17 years until retiring..its a great company to work for, you won't get bored & if you did you can shop for another position.. that's going to the parks and shop for jobs you might want to try and could you stand that costume? Cast members are Disney's best costumers! We spend a lot of our pay there and we bring in other costumers as our guest.

We’ve been going to Disney for years (and also worked in a theme park environment).
We are always as polite and understanding as possible to ALL cast members.
I have only had a bad experience with a cast member 2 times.
They should NOT have been working at Disney.
Our go-to comment is typically, “They are not being very magical today.” 🤣🤣
In the end...they're only human. I'm HAPPY with someone pissin me off just a times a day. Lol I swear they pump prozac to the cast members. I couldn't smile that much..🤦🏻♂️
Disney cast members are awesome. I didn't go to Disney for the first time until this year, and I still was called "princess" and shown a great time. I was also in a wheelchair and they really are trained well in assisting us so that I can see the events, and not get stampeded.

My first time at Disney was 1990 when I was a 21 year old college student visiting with my parents. Back then, characters walked around, or at least some did, and I rounded a corner and there was Chip from Chip and Dale and I was so excited! Most people look for princesses, I look for characters who are short, like me. My next time there, I went to character breakfast and met Minnie Mouse and it was so awesome! She played right along with me saying I liked her because she was short like me and let me geek out even though I was 40-something :)

I am a teachers aid in kindergarten! I was striking up convos with all the kids 😂 I’m used to talking to 5 year olds all day ! Most parents gave me a smile !!
I've worked at my local amusement park and having your work habits spill into every day life, especially children,.... its like a weird version of stockholm. lol.. I was one of the ones going to the park on days off.

I have a friend who is a “a friend of Mickey/Minnie/Donald/Daisy” at Disney World so I hope that you and her are friends in real life because both of you would get along in real life!! (She’s actively working there right now!)
My brothers name is Chris, we live in Orlando.....and we’ve both worked at all the major theme parks in the area EXCEPT Disney....I think my brother would have to change his location if he became a cast member 😂
I know a guy named Chris who used his last name because he got in trouble for another cast member acting poorly with this name tag.

I worked in parking and we had a big transportation party that Disney put together at the contemporary. It was cool
A couple of months ago my daughter and I were at Disney Springs. We were purchasing Mickey bars from a snack cart, when I noticed the CM's name was Chris and she was from Orlando. So, I asked her if she was really "Chris from Orlando," or if she forgot her name tag. She forgot her name tag! 😁

So I'm a part-time cast member (one year as a guard and now Merchandise at DAK) and I can pretty much agree with everything. Tunnels are weird af lol and yes we are the best people to go to the parks with:))) we know all the best spots!!!

Just saw your channel, which park or resort do you work at? I might be moving to Florida soon it looks cool to work for Disney
honestly the disney look requirement is/was (its been 5 years plus pre-covid since i was a CM) pretty ridiculous for a lot of things. Most of it made perfect sense... The rest of it did not lol for example: they have strict requirements on prescription glasses. i had bright red glasses (the color of Mickey's pants lol) and they legit told me that i had to buy a new pair or not wear them on shift..... um 1- these were $400, and 2- i need them to see lol. Luckily i brought my backup pair (def not as cute)
TBH the only peeps that actually cared were the Higher-ups that only came when introducing new CMs and when you did something bad, and the tenured older peeps that were real sticklers for the rules. My Coordinator/Managers didnt even care and most of the time complimented me on my super cute glasses haha.
but yea they had to be plain in shape and color, dark brown or black or thin, neutral metal. They didnt want us to draw attn to ourselves. Theyre a lot more lax with things like beards and tattoos now so idk if this rule has changed too but yea.
Still would drop everything and go back to work for the Mouse in a heartbeat if the cards aligned but yea loll
The name tag thing reminded me of a sandwich shop near my house where anyone who forgets their name tag gets one that says "Pete" even if it's a female. Also your cat is so cute!
Our laundry facility that cleans costumes processes around 32,000 pieces a day. We have 4 laundry facilities on property. :)
Do Cast Members get to eat the same food as guests on their lunch breaks? With the large Volume of food and merchandise coming in everyday how are thing’s divided between the park and the resorts. Take Coke as a example the numbers of truck delivery a hour must be three or four. Number of frozen Mickey Bar must be two truck for each park and all resort. Restocking shelf of the lasted DVD must be every hour. Love to be a cast member who cut the grass each week outside the park. Can cast members choose not work in the park, or at a resort?
Most areas have Cast Cafeterias. Different food for the most part. There is a large cafeteria in the Tunnel. Most Hotels have Cast Cafeterias.

These were true back when I was a Disneyland cast member back in the late 90s. I did forget my name tag once (only once) and the only names they had for me to wear were Jim and Ethel. I was Ethel for the day, but now I'm thinking Jim may have been more interesting. lol
I had a time once I thanked a cast member for working on a holiday so we could be at Disneyland to enjoy it.... Well she was so rude to me it made me cry. That has stuck in my head for year's! I'm still nice to cast members though!!

Why would you need to wear a stock name tag? you can just get it replaced right there in the ID center most likely in the same building as costuming... They "engrave" them right there while you wait.

Hello! So I was hoping you could possibly help answer some questions of mine or point me in the direction of someone who could. So I just started watching your videos so forgive me if you have covered any of this. Also, I was going to email the email provided on the contact us page of Disney World but for some reason as much as I try to send it, I keep getting an email saying that the email address doesn't exist. Ok here are the actual questions. First is do you need a drivers license? I never learned to drive so I only have a permit but when watching a video of someone's phone interview they seemed to ask them "do you have a valid drivers license?". My other question is what do you know about the professional internships? I just watched a video where you said that your friend got accepted for one. I can't seem to find where people apply for that. Can you get a PI if you haven't done a CP yet? Sorry this was so crazy long. I love your videos by the way.

I was DCP cast member over 20 years ago at Pleasure Island. I had 4 name badges. 1 was my name and 3 were different. I wore my name the first night and never again.

Look into getting a Target card. With Target’s Redcard, everything at Target is 5% off (or something like that). My mom used her Target card to buy Disney gift cards, essentially paying $95 for a $100 gift card. She used those card to pay for everything from tickets to churros. Not a huge savings, but sometimes anything helps.

We’ve been to WDW 6 times and I was shocked at the contrast between Disneyland and Disney World employees in terms of friendliness. I’ve experienced some rude employees at WDW, one in particular who was a TOTAL JERK, but I’ve never had the same rude experiences at Disneyland in Anaheim.

Weird question but are Disney charitors not allowed to shake hands? When i whent and saw Belle I tried to shake her hand but she didn't shake back instead she grabed my and with both her hands and just held my hand wich was completely fine I'm not at all gonna complain when i meet a princess i was just wondering mickey also tried to kiss my hand i almost tried to tell him on minnie lol

I’ve worked for Disney 37 magical years. As a Legacy Cast Member and a Partners in Excellence winner then you know the true meaning of what Walt dreamed of and that magic and pure joy it is. Thank you Walt Disney. Maybe you will see the bigger picture once you are blessed to be a Cast Member that long. As I drive there everyday...I know Dreams do come true. And the Chris nametag is not totally accurate. I wish you a long career...if you believe. I know I do.
