It seemed as though we should have thunderstorms this morning but that all happened about 40 miles east of here and on into Nebraska. Those storms went around us again. Oh well. Good Friday morning Mike! 11:39 AM this morning. I’m already home from work as we had too many drivers and not enough riders! Darrell is one of the best employees that makes Amtrak what it is! Taking care of passengers and regulars who record station stops! He exudes the love of his company and work! It was super nice of him to offer that to you and say hello to us viewers! Good afternoon, Mark; I'm a little late in answering today. That was an unusual workday. Isn't supposed to be the other way around? LOL!!! Now if you can get rid of the humidity it would be almost perfect back there. With the Galesburg cams down for maintenance, I am relegated to trying to catch the Zephyr at Burlington. It has been interesting to watch the shots of the river and the flood stage preps as well as to how well those preps work. Seems they have had some experience with the procedures there. It has made 80 F here at 1545 local. I think we are in for more of the cooler temps over the weekend. Alas, the moisture goes around Morgan County. Tomorrow will be a lot warmer. I was impressed with his reverse running style. I am like you. Barely run forward for a very short distance. I watched the Capitol Fourth program on PBS. That was enough for me. Then listened to all the illegal stuff being fired off around the neighborhood. I am sure there will be more tonight. I did a couple of cheesy braughts from Johnsonville for supper with the usual trimmings. Didn't make breakfast this morning with the coffee that Darrell supplied. Maybe tomorrow. I forgot to mention that Nashville fireworks is even better than the DC ones. Our symphony orchestra is timed with fireworks. Many drones assist in televising the fireworks up close. I watched both PBS and ours so I can say this truthfully. Local crowds estimated 250,000+ .
