Thank you very much for the feedback. I don't mind a little roasting, it can help make me stronger. I also appreciate the tip about using the stingray on plat as I never considered that the ray has more mobility from further away. I will try incorporating these tips right away!
It’s weird because it’s a mechanic so specific to this game so if you’re used to basically any other shooter game you’d be used to just going for kills. but in this game you also need to manage giving your team area to walk on/removing enemy hiding spots
Gets out notepad, takes notes. Really great tips for back line play, I usually do frontline, but stingrays get me a lot so its good to know the though process behind it
@@unl3ash3d95 seriously? you want people to be honest about game play you dont want someone saying "oh thats the best string ray ever" being honest about game play helps someone get better
This was *really* helpful. I especially appreciate you give tips not just on what to do, but how to read and think about the play as it unfolds. The "how to think" is especially difficult and appreciated.
Right? Sometimes i get one of those moments where im splatting people left and right, applying pressure, painting, all at the same time and i think "damn this is going well" , then i die and their team instantly crushes ours. Thats the moment i realize half of our team is basically doing nothing
Yup. So many games are lost because people don't ink the ground. I hate watching the map and seeing my teammates getting splatted cause they jumped into a sea of enemy ink.
HI dude remember me, you gave me and my mum tickets to comicon and because of you i was able to meet nogami it was an amazing experience I wish I could've met you there ^^
This is quite informative, though I don't feel like Stingray is such a strong special in this particular stage (seeing as there are so many height levels) losing an opponent can be easy, now, of course positioning is an important aspect of the game, if not the most important... actually, it'd be kinda nice to see a series of you analyzing specials vs stage vs mode wouldn't it? I mean, maybe I could find out there's another special particularly useful for "that" specific map.
Sugar-coating definitely won't make anyone a better player. It's fine that you're hard on the plays you're critiquing; the people whose clips you're reviewing submitted them specifically for that reason.
Jesus, how good is this video, great job EDIT: also, it’s better if people submit videos where they lose, more to learn...idk why people ask for help on vids where they won >_>
I put that match as it was the only match I recorded that I could not tell what I was doing wrong. My team and I barely won. Whether you win or lose doesn't really matter if you know what you did right and wrong.
I honestly never realized how useful the no sting ray in spawn nerf is. A lot of my wins have been because I acknowledged the fact that sting rays are no longer able to enter spawn and as a slayer I was able to take them out. Funny, Nintendo succeeded for once.
Can you make a submission if you don't have a capture card? I really want to submit a video but the best I can do is record it with my phone and a tripod :(
Explain to me how sting ray is top 3 specials outside of tower? I don’t like it and I’ve rarely gotten killed by the ray. Or maybe sting ray doesn’t have a huge advantage over custom D squelchers- op
Sting Ray is the only Special that, if positioned correctly, can provide an instant win when leading by splatting the enemy Rainmaker or Tower rider from a safe distance. However, it is much more than an instant win con(dition). This video demonstrated its offensive application at 4:00 by picking off potential defenders from a safe distance (although Dude suggests the video submitter to position himself or herself further back). Even outside of Tower Control and Rainmaker, certain stages have geography that the Sting Ray exploits-namely long, narrow, closed, and flat stages. This includes stages such as Starfish Mainstage, Manta Maria, Arowana Mall, Camp Triggerfish, and especially Port Mackerel and Walleye Warehouse.
10000% agree and thank you for the tips, and i love your honesty! being honest will make a person a better player love the fact you arent kissing someones booty 😊
I’m ehhhhh... *_decent_* in Rainmaker. (S rank) But I normally have a stupid team who aren’t there to support me with the Rainmaker and leave me to my lonesome to get splatted by the opposite team, and we end up losing because they’re not there to kill the Rainmaker when it’s at the pedestal ;w; OR I’M JUST REALLY SALTY LMAO

But does Dr.Dude have a medical degree
"I don't believe that man has ever been to medical school"
A Diployma for competitive splatoon.
Don't let him give you a prostate exam
He has a DUDE degree
Glad you mention regarding ‘painting’. Too many players go for the kills as apposed to keeping a good balance between killing and painting

I was Akash in the video, thank you for the criticism, it really helps!
is that sarcasm?

Birdy pretty sure he meant the good type of criticism telax

I know this video is old, but I'm just confused for the concern about being harsh or roasting, your feedback is so concise, effective and sensitive

This is twice as hard when you have randoms in any rank. 20 kills yet team wont paint fail pushes etc
Full 5 minutes wins usually happens when everyone get 10 kill on average, so you need 40 kills if your teammates are bad, 20 isn't enough

Then get kills and push with them.
Lowkey roasting session.
Though fr this does help to be the Chad Backline heavy
Pass me a dose of *KNOWLEDGE* , Dr.Dude!
Man I swear DUDE changes the meta of the game Everytime he starts beasting with a weapon😩😩😩 keep em coming dude

Very good video, thanks for all your help Dr. DUDE.
Amazing video thankyou so much 🙏
I always space out playing Rainmaker...but in a bad way. Sometimes I'm not even sure where the thing is.
I don’t see where you being harsh it’s not like you were calling them trash it just pointing out all the mistake and good feed back
I agree, this is my team in the video and it's no different on how we criticize ourselves except more knowledge. It's all necessary.
Great video!

Dr.1st
This was a ranked match, so he couldn't communicate.
The Fresh Squid dude says right at the start of the match that it's a scrim with his teammates. it's not solo ranked.
I watched the original submission a while ago
@@OrganicInk_spl it's a scrim. You can tell it's not just a regular ranked matched because we all have the same clan tag and the other team also
