I really want to make a Splatoon 2 team eventually, but I unfortunately have a quite random schedule due to school, and I don't get to play as often as I want too, plus that I have barely used Discord. I guess I could try to get used to Discord first, and additionally, my team doesn't need to be the most active either. Nice guide, though! I'll see if I get use of this. By the way, I subscribed a few days ago, because of your great content about my favorite game. Keep it up!

Is there a place for casual teams? I like the idea of being part of a team, but I wouldn't want to be tied into having to be online so many days a week at certain times or else. Maybe just getting together and doing Leagues or something occasionally.

I think that when you have a team sorted, you should have more than 4, in case one person can’t make it to a scrim, tournament etc. Tryouts also can’t be biased. For example, I lead a team with Silver. Silver’s friend tried out, and I took the tryout, just to prevent any bias with the tryouts. You’ll also want to have a Discord Server, and maybe have a “Tryout” role or something. Minimum ranks and all of that are important too
I may actually start a team when I have time (school is killing me). Idk yet. I got top cut in the 2 tourneys I play and I like the fact that I was so close to winning. I NEED MORE.

TrafalgarNM everyone has to start somewhere. Maybe listen to pros and notice how they communicate. Also just practice not saying anything that isn’t important. For instance, instead of saying “there is a guy that is using inkjet on the left” just say “inkjet left”. You can also get more specific callouts, such as sniper, mid, plat, and more, which you can find online for every map.

i know this is 1 yo.... but try useing different weapons on every map and mode and in the end you are going to find the best combinations of weapon/map/mode. that is what made the difference for me and now i am s+4 on CB/TC and s+9 on RM/SZ
There's a lot of many different teams of different skills and languages. I've seen Teams that accept players in S or A+ for example. You just gotta look!
There’s no reason to be competitive anymore, in Splatoon 2 there’s no more splat fest and there’s not even any more tournaments in the game so I think it’s pretty useless that there are tutorials on why you should be competitive in reality the only thing you have to do is just I don’t know practice for until the test-fire comes and then after that, you’ll be upset so for all the kids out there who think oh yeah I should be a competitive game or practice your X rank get everything but just know it’s useless because x-ray is a lie but so by all means knock yourself out it’s a good thing to have that competitive spirit but,just know you will never ever have a life. (this is a joke)

Short for Scrimmage, just like what you would find in sports.
you go in a private room with 3 of your teammates and play another team of 4 so you can practice against other good players
Basically like a scrimmage in soccer or football a match for practice that doesn’t count towards anything but is set up like a real game
