    Thanks! I had no doubts that to became a PM is a good choice. And DPM sounds cool

      It does! Only if you have required skill in one of the domains I mentioned. Otherwise, it better to focus on traditional PM roles.
      But it’s just another example of low level of project management maturity level. There shouldn’t be such role as a DPM.

    Indeed, Digital guys are more about marketing and SEO strategies. And it was well mentioned that if we look at a PRODUCT in general, work starts with the Software / IT Project Manager until the moment the PRODUCT is launched , and further on when it is required to promote the PRODUCT on the market and develop the customer experience, a Digital peep comes in the game

      Yes, quite right. Digital PM tend to be more of product managers.

    Hey Dmitry. Im Aleksandar from Serbia. I fall in love with PM job. And use to learn about it a lot. Once I will attend course and get certification and learn much more, but till than, I will use to learn about it from various sides (internet, books et cedera),,
    2nd thing is, that I'm curious. Are you familiar with risk management? Calculating risk in some project? I use to learn about it aswell and I think I know some things, but still, I'm thinking how I will calculate critical if it happens in the middle of project. Or somewhere before end. Of course, that's not big deal.. but still I want to learn more

      Hi Alexander,
      PM is a the most fulfilling profession. But I’m biased:)
      For sure, Risk Management is the critical knowledge domain in project management. That’s why I have a lot series on all aspects here: th-cam.com/play/PLjbXjDdSp7vdSQxzF5LCtFLBVfC5f3xnF.html

    I was recently hired on as a web development project manager and have been trying to determine if my role falls in line with that of a digital project manager. Since I am working for a digital marketing agency and will be working remote... I'd like to think so but I am still not sure. I am interested in your course but it seems to be more directed towards IT Project managers. Would such a course still be useful for someone in the same role as me? And if not are there some courses that you would recommend?

      Digital PM vs IT PM the difference isn't that big. It's more about the scale and type of projects you'll do. My course will be 100% helpful to you. It teaches practical project management approach that you can use in almost any industry.

    So, how much money a typical DPM can make? Does it make sense to start career as DPM and then move on to either PM or PdM?

    • @ITProjectManagers
      @ITProjectManagers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In US, typically it’s around 60-80K. You should start as a DPM if you have the required background in online marketing. Other directions are deadends. So, it better to start as a traditional PM at once.

    awesome TH-cam channel, but for me it is hard to consume information since I keep being distracted by your pronunciation 😬 please, don’t get me wrong, the information you’re sharing is valuable

      No problem. I’m totally aware of my accent. Nevertheless, if you want to be a project manager - you need to get used to it. You’ll work with multinational teams. They all have different accents and pronunciation.

      So everyone must abandon their accent and speak like you?
