🔥 There’s one skill that separates great IT Project Managers from everyone else-project tailoring. Most project managers get stuck trying to learn every new tool and process out there. They dive deep into theories but still struggle to deliver projects on time and within budget. It’s frustrating. The truth is, great project managers don’t try to do it all-they focus on tailoring simple processes and tools that work best for their team and projects. That’s what creates transparency, predictability, and results. But here’s the thing-tailoring isn’t just guessing what might work. It’s about knowing three critical components: 1) Understanding project management on a deeper level. 2) Knowing exactly what to tailor. 3) Applying it effectively in real companies with real people. That’s why I created the Professional Development Plan for IT Project Managers-to help you master project tailoring and finally become the project manager who delivers every time, no matter the challenge. ✅ Click the link below to get your development plan now and take the next step toward mastering project management. itpmschool.com/get-plan?
the most relevant video I've seen. I'm going though PM interviews at this point. And, let me tell you, this content is a pain reliever. I'm literally making notes. God bless ya, Dmitry
Hi Dimitry, I am studying MS project management in Brooklyn ,NY. I do not have any IT background but your videos have guided me and helped me very much. I am trying to possess all the skills to be a sucessfull project manager. However I always have doubts about where will I enter the industry from. I hope your future videos are more beginner oriented. Keep up the good work and thank you!
There are quite a lot of videos that may help you as a beginner. Try watching a series where I show examples of how to lead a project: th-cam.com/video/lErVVs_u3r0/w-d-xo.html
Really loved the part about when the interviewer asks if we have any questions, and how we should bring up any questions that we could not answer and turn in back on them to find out the importance of it to the company. TH-cam Gold! Thanks for this video (and all your videos) @itprojectmanagers
No idea if anyone will read this at this point, but I have been away from the PM for 10 years now (first with a business and later dealing providing care within my family. I have the time and renewed interest in the PM field and am wondering what I should focus on to get myself back in the game. Thanks! (PS: I was a Digital PM without deep technical ability).
Hi Eric, Dmytro here. I do read all comments as much as I can: ) I think you need to refresh your CV. Most likely, it's all you need to do now. Keep in mind that nowadays, the job search is a game of numbers. So, even with a great CV, you'll need to land 5-10 interviews. Here's my approach to writing a Perfect CV of a Project Manager: th-cam.com/video/0sC4UoYWbng/w-d-xo.html
Glad it was useful. The article is outdated a bit. So, it's better to watch other videos on this topic: th-cam.com/play/PLjbXjDdSp7vdoOusKG7Wzi8aD6E-qbejb.html
In my opinion, Canada's immigration policy don't expect immigrants to take high-paying jobs. So, unfortunately, it might not be the problem in you. In any case, check this video, it may help you get more interviews: th-cam.com/video/0sC4UoYWbng/w-d-xo.html
Hi Shivam, unfortunately I don't have an Activity List to share. In most cases, activities end up in a project management software. In my case, JIRA or Azure DevOPS.
Sunny, thanks for writing. Sorry to hear that you didn't find the video helpful. Nevertheless, this video explains how to answer interview questions. It doesn't provide you a word for word script because you need to use your own experience and stories. Interviewers don't want to hear generic answers, they want to assess you skills and talents.
