Honestly, if a truck has power windows, power locks, keyless entry (not what he called "keyless entry" in this video - what he meant was _proximity_ entry), a backup cam and Android Auto, I'm fine with it. Luxury features are nice but it's more stuff that will eventually break, and if I'm buying a truck, I'm prioritizing reliability over comfort.
Personally i think xlt is the perfect truck. In todays standard its not luxury, but to old dogs such as myself it still is luxury like it once was. The cloth interiors on these f150s are so cozy, i love mine (2018) and dont ever wanna go back to leather. You get all the tech you could ever need. And depending on the yr you can still get a bench up front with column shifter which is a must for me. Also the exterior appearance i love the xlt the most generally regardless of yr. Not too much chrome, just enough if you dont mind chrome. I hate lariats because of the chrome but on xlt it looks great. Aside from the fact that my transmission blew 1 yr later(it is 110k miles got it in 22), i love my 2018 xlt and wouldnt trade it for anything.
Wait for the next year to come out! Like right now you can save thousands on 1.9% finance + You can get thousands of the sticker. Find a brand new 23 instead of buying the 24’s.
No power driver's seat is huge. Even Chevy added it to the minimalist Custom trim, together with armrest and underseat storage, AND 4wheel autotrac. I like Ford, but damn.
I just bought a 2023 xl.. You don't need power seats or a bigger TV screen. The xl is very loaded for a "basic truck" especially for a $15k-$30k price difference!!
Yeah, let’s give the poor people who can only afford the XL absolutely nothing technological about the truck like even no heated seats that should be stock on all new vehicles it’s even a 2023 and you’re gonna cheap out because some people are poor
For me it isn’t about affordability but the ability to repair without it costing an arm and a leg. I rather purchase a basic truck that doesn’t require a $2k dealer trip because a headlight gave out.
Yes the xlt grills scatch to easily. For instance mine. Got scratched up at a high dollar drive thru car wash after 3 uses so I canceled membership and got a pressure washer and some sham fkn wows
They need to make an X edition as in manual windows, AM radio, bench seat, etc. Of course, with a much lower price than these two models.
In America? Keep dreaming
it would probably cost more to design than they'd ever make in sales
Always go for the higher tier. With a lower tier you always want to upgrade.
So your saying just buy a Raptor ?
@@user-xm8rf6ik7bhe’s right if you don’t buy the vehicle you want the first time you’ll end up buying another because your not happy
Then that’s never ending. You have to stop somewhere. There’s always going to be a better truck unless you get the Raptor R.
@@ScottSullivanTV Mid-trim is usually the best value on most auto brands

Bro they want 76 grand for a new xlt truck these days. Kiss my ass 😂
76k that's craaaaaaaazy
The 2023 one is now like
46k still expensive.... But cheaper
Right to the point. Thanks
I love all these fancy new features but I'm not willing to pay for them.
I hate that stupid shifter on xlt
Super helpful thanks for the great video!!!
My xlt has none of those differences. Loll. Should make it clear that’s 302a package which is like yesterdays lariat
Yea, and you also can’t adjust the seat height manually either on the XL. It really has very limited manual adjustment as well.
that and XLs can get power seats
I love the xl better the gear
No truck/ vehicle of any make or model nowadays should have halogen lights.
Thanks
Forgot to mention the outrageous price!
Nah you’re just poor
@@donjohnson2428Highly doubt you're richer than him.
@@donjohnson2428you’re not poor for not wanting to spend 60k on a truck.

But mine has everything and has the shifter on the steering column? I'm so confused
If I put the XLT tires on the XL, would they be the same height?
what model year is the XLT one? the grill of it is different
How much an they each towe?
As long as it's 4 wheel drive, I'll take the XL.
Also, steering wheel.

Xl stx is more worth it for your money
XLT available with Column shifter/center seat?
Yes. That’s how I ordered mine
Yeah I have that configuration in mine
@@arreguinracing2732did you get chrome package, the color wheels and grill seems like it would scratch easily

For all that money u have manual seat and cloth seat what a robbery
I can’t believe the xlt has heated seats but no heated steering wheel?? Dumb
My Lariat doesn’t even have a heated steering wheel
No offense but the Ford F-150 is nothing but a toddler Tonka truck
