2023 any day
I just picked up my 2024 F150 last week and I’m absolutely in love with it! IMO, it looks exponentially better than the 2023 and so happy Ford made the 2024 enhancements. Just looks so much better and I really like the “old school” looking white on blue Ford Oval. Thanks for your video.
gotta say that fuel door having to be opened from the inside of the truck is absolutely stupid.
They are very similar, and for me, it would come down to which one had the options I wanted and the better deal
23’ easy choice
Thanks for video
My first f150 the 24 hands down I love the extra small storage in the rear of the bed
I was told this is just a mid refresh and not the next gen. I have a 21 XLT and I’m only seeing a difference in the front grill and tail lights. I’ll wait till the complete make over comes out and see if they do a better job than this refresh otherwise I’ll just keep my 21 because I like the looks of it better.
The front and rear bumpers are also different (unless you get a 24' with the dual exhaust (like the one in the vid), then you get the old rear bumper), the headlights and tail lights also have a different design. In either event, the value aspect of the 24s is much higher because now every '24 F-150 comes standard with a fully digital gauge cluster, a 12" touch screen, and LED headlights and DRLs. So if you had a lower trim 21-23 F-150, there's quite a few reasons to consider upgrading. If you had a Lariat or higher, though, you're really not getting anything more besides the new aesthetics.
But yes, you are correct, this is just a mid-cycle refresh, not a new generation. The '23 is gen14 and the 24' is gen14.5, if you want to look at it that way.
@@dave3682 yeah, I have mixed feelings on a trade up for a few reasons. As far as the 12” infotainment screen and all the LED’s I have that just not the digital dash screen but at the moment I’m still not liking that. I wish ford would not have made that standard. I also did linex, installed leather seats, got chrome mirror caps installed from the dealership. And I have the 2K on board power. Plus the little things ford put in the 21 model they started taking away in 22 like the temperature display on the climate dials among other things. I really hope ford will bring back the chrome grill on the XLT next year, I love the chrome grill on the lariat but I can’t get those because of the shifter in the counsel. I wish ford would option that out on the F150 but it will never happen. I would have to step all the way up to a super duty to get that and I really don’t ever see me needing one of those. Maybe I’ll get lucky and ford will put the chrome grill back on the XLT next year than I might consider.
@@phillipbaker2082 It's worth mentioning that the regular '24 F-150 XLT does have a chrome bar running through the middle of the grille. But the one in the video has an appearance package added onto it which makes the grille all black.
@@dave3682 yeah, I seen a review of an XLT with that little bit of chrome in the center. Why even bother was my first thought if that’s the best they could do. The XLT always had a full chrome grill up till this refresh and it’s something they should have kept in my opinion. That’s why people get the chrome appearance package because they want the chrome. I don’t know who made this decision at ford but in my opinion it was a mistake. I’m sure you’ve heard the old saying “go big or go home!” That grill on the XLT refresh definitely don’t fit that bill 😂
@@phillipbaker2082 I think it has more to do with the fact that younger buyers (40 and under) generally tend to HATE chrome and since the XLT is the F-150s most popular trim they're trying to walk a thin line between pleasing everyone and offending no one. The key word there is "trying".
I guess it just depends on what you want. I do a lot of rush-hour traffic driving/bumper-to-bumper and being able to option blue Cruise with the advanced adaptive Cruise control is a big big deal for some people when you’re exhausted coming home from work. 😊
Now do a 23 vs 24 Lariat 501A power boost comparison please. Thanks!
2024 hands down!
Im wondering if the 2024 has the 302a package?
no spare tire lock?
Both are beautiful trucks! I like the 24 model alittle more because I own one! Lol!
That’s a good reason 😂
Ford didn't start fixing the CDF drum issue in the 10 speed until the late model 23's so ill take the 24
the 24 has the 360 cameras
23 also has 360
The 24 looks a bit better in my opinion
I can’t afford either one 😢😢😢😢😢😢
Question: what is the card for in the glove box on the 2023? (3:22)
I hope he gives an answer, I went back and watched that part and he said something about an ID card. I would be curious as to what that is.
Its for the door keypad.
What year started F150 XLT become almost 60k!? Feels like price increase 10k a year from 2020?
The biggest momentum shift in the price paid for F150s was during the Covid environment and supply chain chip shortages when Ford dealer inventory went to zero and discounts and incentives went away and dealers sold new pre-owned F150s for above MSRP. Before 2021, no one paid MSRP for F150s and almost always the sales prices were $8,000 to $14,000 below MSRP. That's changed in February 2024 with discounts and incentives on 2023s.
Not a previous gen same gen just pre facelift
24 with 23 tail lights
Those 23 taillights are garbage
@@jmc6000 24 more so
$60K for a base truck??!!! That's insane!!! That truck should be about $45K!!! Those UAW wages need to be replaced with humanoid robots!!!
its not a base truck..its two levels up from base..but they are all too much money imo lol.
