No in a car with car noise insulation it just sounds like a washing machine on spin cycle with a heavy towel inside disbalancing the drum. Just have a drive in an i3 with the range extender on it.

I’m sure they’re using some kind of weird offset to make it fire more evenly, which makes it sound like complete dogshit.
