@@marvinracer88 Mass damper wasn't illegal when it was used by Renault. They banned it later. Say what you wish, but Alonso showed he wasn't any way inferior to Michael. Excuses are for losers, and I won't justify that he wasn't able to overtake Petrov in spite of there were other reasons. Nevertheless, he performed some miracles to be in position to fight for the championship in 2010 and 2012. Since Prost (and maybe Raikkonen, Rosberg had the same car as his main rival which it's a great feature as well), any pilot has won the title if they weren't driving the best car, but ALO has been the closest to that achievement. Ferrari hasn't had the best car since Schumi's time, so I don't know what car are you talking about. I don't like especially MSC; in spite of I admire cunning people, he sometimes crossed the line and played dirty and complained too much. For May to have finished "in the middle of the pack" was quite an accomplishment. He's always very understated but inside I'm sure he was quite proud.
That's a great Top Gear segment. Mika is a great guy and James May is my favourate host. Respect to Mika for taking his time and being hilarious.
Mika Hakkinen expression on 3:27 is price less. lol It was awesome watching him battling it out with MS during his F1 career.
He couldn't believe that somebody can be so clumpsy xD. Nevertheless, Capt. Slow learnt fast. He's actually a good driver.
What Alain Prost was to Senna, Hakkinen was to Schumi. Quiet, calm, analytical textbook racing with fire concealed within

that Mercedes is modified, its performance isnt that bad as you think, price also.
Mika is laid back for an afternoon drive, meanwhile he is in perfect control of the car drifting it beautifully for the camera to capture. Then he proceeds to tell James that they are going extremely slowly. Master of car control.

Mika was my sports hero back when I was merely a kid watching F1 on TV in late 90s
I remember using his iconic West livery car in PS1's F1 '99
He still amazes me to this day
Mika should replace Chris Evans.
Then again, a small piece of styrofoam retrieved from a bin should replace Chris Evans.

hahahaha great old Mika, the only one ever able to beat the n.1, Kaisermichael. That was an amazing F1.
Alonso
@@lolshark99b49 Alonso had illegal mass dampers and 1 DNF while Michael had 6, then, history proved what Cryonso really was: he couldn't win against a rookie hamilton, needed nelsinho piquet jr to crash so he could win, couldn't overtake some russian dude in backmarker car while he was using the best car on the grid to win championship in 2010... so, no. Mika was the true only one ever able to beat Michael.
Mark V.G. ok cool thanks dude
@@marvinracer88 still won
Furthermore, Hakkinen and ALO showed that he wasn't able to win the title if he wasn't in the best car.
Team orders? What driver fighting for the title may say that he hasn't taken advantage of them?Maybe HAM when he retrieved a position to Bottas (which Bottas had previously given to HAM). Btw, there's no evidence that ALO knew anything about Briatore's plan on Singapore.

Mika now trains Valtteri Bottas... no wonder he is so damn quick! Go BO77AS!!!
Really?? I didn´t Know! that explains it!
Bottas has the same driving style that Mika has ... the only thing is that it has a long way to winning a world championship of Formula 1
Marco Costa Mika was the only driver on the entire grid who was able to go toe to toe with schumi and he won 2 championships which is pretty impressive considering they were during the famous ferrari-schumi dominance era in F1...thing is that 'it' is pretty much guaranteed to winning a championship or two

Trust me bud.......we are
Teemu Selanne!!
Honestly I am jealous, we have winding and hill roads that would be great for rallying, but in Canada if you speed you get locked in jail for like 1,000 years.
On the Prairies you get away with it. You're expected to do at least 130 km/h crossing Saskatchewan. I call it the Prairie cannonball, Winnipeg to Calgary, or vice versa...your grandpa does it in 12 hours, and that's with a one hour lunch break in Regina.
SilkyMitts18 well in finnish countryside if you get busted driving without licence and you're like 12 the cops offer you a limonade and donuts :D and just continue their day
There might be better drivers than the Finns, but no one is as relaxed in a car as they are. Kimi Raikonnen, Mika Hakkinen, Keke Rosberg. They are so relaxed in racing that it's sometimes rather terrifying
