I have not riden the new one but my Gen 1 ZX10R has never lost a race when I was still riding up until 2009, I had a stroke well actually several and my riding days where over. Now granted my ZX10R was not stock with a full race Ti Akropovic exhaust a power commander/ECU flash etc, cam work, KN air filter etc. it was a BEAST and I miss it and riding it. the pic with my TH-cam name is it before I got the Akro pipe and just had a Sato ti slip-on. I have gotten a lot better since my strokes and am hoping to buy a Kawi H2 SX SE a more "sedate" ride lol. I am gonna get a ti pipe for it and have the ECU flashed and then bike dyno tuned so who knows what the HP numbers will be but with the mods mentioned I have seen dyno numbers in the 240-250HP range with a much more comfortable ride. I cant wait to ride again after 53yrs of dirt bike/Street bike exp. riding is in my blood. Sorry to go off tangent but I can not say enough about Kawi's as they are the ONLY street bike's I have had since the early 80's...
I think the Kawaski's look the best out of the Japanese four. I love the tank.

I hated my bike because the low end choppiness but finally found a tune that works good and the bike is amazing crazy raw power now that it’s running smooth
I have a 2012 Zx10r which is street legal but modified for track use (ohlins front and rear, ecu reflash, rear sets etc etc) what a weapon!

Interesting you like the transmission and quick shifter . that was probably a weak point on the zx10r in the past . Sounds like it's been improved on ..
Having the trick engine internals and being a track bike do you notice it being a bit soft & weak at normal cruising speed /rpm's ..

Yes, I do imagine the front end of a bike as it’s face. That’s why the older s1000rr’s drove me f’ng crazy. It’s like a chic with a dime body, a great mind, and a Quasimodo face. I was extremely pleased when they changed it up.

I’m debating getting an 18’ varient of that thing, with only 4000 miles on it. It’s for sale dirt cheap, but i’ll be using it for a bit or commuting as well as other, so i don’t really know if it’s too aggressive.

Wtf?!😮😮 how did that happen?? I thought Kawasaki is an absolute tank when it comes to engine??? Did you (abuse) the bike ? Or it was pure manufacture error ?
@@TIMHARTTT man i still dont know how it happened. I followed the break in procedures to the tee. This is my 8th bike and the first one ive ever had any issues with. MY dealership i bought it from is saying manufacture error. Fingers crossed the warranty covers everything and they do right by it. The bike was on fire until i finally came to a stop going down the highway.

Ya I absolutely loved it. By far the fastest bike I’ve owned. It was amazing.

The RR can have a cam swap and the low end can handle 🤷♂️
Why don't brands clean the weld on the frame? 😭 That bunch of solder looks so unsightly 🤢
Grinding down the welds will weaken the frame, ZX10R/RR have brittle frames, they crack if you drop them too many times.
R1 CBR out of their league . 10RR just will mistreat them. In terms of power anyway

Does a litre bike make sense for someone who loves the acceleration but doesn't care about speeds in excess of 160- 180kmph?
that's why I love 1000cc bikes...don't care much about going 100+ mph but I love the torque and acceleration

dealer is little out of the picture... he couldn't even tell the difference between the R and RR and then he compares it to the R1M or the Panigale V4S or CBR1000RR-R meanwhile it doesn't even have eletronic suspension like the others mentioned... :D probably it could be compared to the bmw m1000rr

As great as the Kawasaki are I could never own one for the street because of one design defect IMO. The Ohlins steering damper blocks the fork stem hole which doesn’t allow me to put my quadlock on bike. As crazy as that sounds, This is the single reason why I would never buy this bike for the street🫤
There's a ton of other ways to mount your quad lock...
If you swap your clutch lever to an aftermarket lever, most have a 10mm threaded hole for mirrors. Obviously, you can just use a ball mount for your quad lock instead of the mirror.

get a hypersport mount, they sit lower than the ohlins and allow you to still use a stem mount
I’ve had the stem mount in my zx10 for years. Get a Brock’s riser kit lol
I disagree,,,,that bike can stop just as fast as it can take off, within less then seconds you can stop on a dime from tripple digits, even noobees.😮

NO WAY I'd be letting somebody go out "test/review ride" my $30k+ bike. Stupid, these things are limited edition and I wouldn't care how big a dealer I was, I'd want to keep it new.
