It wins wsbk races that's cool yeah, but we're buying stock bikes, I say I look at superstock racing, how many of the bikes chosen are the good ones probably. You see alot, alot of fireblade in isle of man tt and British superstock
I remember the ZX10R used to cost $11,799 back in the 2009 as a new release. How did inflation and rising costs take it to $27,000+ by 2023? The BMW looks great, though very expensive too.
As an avid motorsports fan, I have not been impressed with the results from the M1000RR across the Superbike categories. However, Brooks is showing speed in BSB with his bike, which is currently making 265 BHP! It will be interesting to see what Toprak can do on one next season in WSBK now he has signed up with BMW, because Redding has found it tough. Edit : Hard to see anything catching Bautista’s Panigale V4R though atm.
Well bmw will feel alot of pressure after signing toprak because if a rider of toprak calibre cannot be competitive there is something wrong with the bike. And they know very well that their current m1000rr is not enough for toprak. They alot of ground to cover. But it looks like they are willing to put on the work and give toprak best and competitive bike. Because they have redesigned and created a completely new team for research and development for 2024.
@@mikeyffw_30 That’s encouraging news and BMW must have indicated some significant alterations with the 2024 bike itself to make it more competitive, or Toprak wouldn’t have signed. If anybody can extract the peak performance abilities from the M1000RR in WSBK, it’s Toprak. The BMW obviously has massive potential, displayed by it’s speed in BSB and Peter Hickman’s dominance of this year’s IOM TT across every 1000cc category, except the Superbike race due to his quickshifter failing in which he was still vying for the win against Dunlop. I can’t wait to see what Toprak brings to the table on the BMW next season … likewise for Rea and Kawasaki.
Kawasaki all the way. I will never buy a BMW because of the reliability. Lots of electronic problems on some moto. Two friends of mine bought $40,000 (CAN) BMWs brand new and both bikes were towed at different trip.
@@aequitas8749 Are you actually stupid? ZX10RR has full Titainium Connecting Rods from Pankel, 4-6HP, Magnesium Wheel, A diamond Harden Valve Train to rev to 14.5k RPM vs the 13.5 if the normal one. The Cylinder Head is already Machined to accept a Race cam direct from Kawasaki that's used in the WSBK KRT machine that Jonny Rea rides. If I'm not mistaken it also incorporates Titainium Retainers and Definitely Finger followers vs a bucket and shim style valve train actuation. The Finger follower Design is something Formula 1 had Used for many years before it became fully pneumatic. That extra 10k is a bargain the wheels alone are 2-3k the cam is at least 3-500 the supercorsa SP2 tires almost another 500. Titainium Rods can be worth 10k in a car so less material I'll safely assume 3.5-4k. Then there's the hardening process of the valve train. It also has a sharper Suspension geometry which makes the bike turn in faster. Getting that set up is 1-300 because you would Baseline the Suspension to your weight and make the Adjustment. Also you get full access to all the race specific parts being a registered owner of the ZX-10RR. So the Race ECU, Race Wiring Harness, the Chassis Geometry parts, and more ....all of it. You get full access too. That bike was made to go Racing and they had to make 500 units a year to qualify. If you did this all in your own it would be at least 14-18k extra no questions asked.
The new 2023 m1000rr (as per the looks) , it looks a bit different than the 2021 m1000rr. As for the ZX10RR , it looks the same as the 10R minus some black graphics. Performance wise the 10RR must be more aggressive than the 10R.
everyone talks big but either bike is fine for anyone, majority of the people who buy them are for show and even if you frequent the track, it is very doubtful you'll push them to the max. so all in all down to user/rider preference. I am all for the green but I hate that front headlight setup of the current gen, should've went with the current styling for the zx6r instead, so much more pleasant to look at.
