The painting you brought home for yourself was amazing! You actually paid a great price for it! It included a great frame and that’s worth a lot on its own. My husband and I tend to pick up artwork, both large and small on our travels. One time a photographer in Hawaii, who was selling us a photo (cost quite a bit more than your purchase, said to my husband, “come back next year and tell me that you miss the money “. Such a valid point, after we enjoy it we don’t miss the money we spent! You mentioned making a video about Paris vintage markets, I would love to see that, especially since I will be visiting Paris with my daughter and the markets are #1 on my itinerary!!!! Thanks for another great video!
They painting was such an unexpected purchase! I still can't believe I have a painting from Paris on my walls - what a dream! Yes, I'm planning to a Paris video soon before everyone goes for the summer!
Me too! I am nuts about picking up art! I made a hallway into a gallery and switch pieces out! Cannot wait to go to Paris flea markets. Thanks again for taking us along!! ❤
Oh emm geee... that large (and expensive;) painting is incredible. Total stunner with all its colours. Loooove. Infact all the art is amazing... good scores :)
Thank you! The colors stood out so much in a sea of landscapes. The baguette definitely went into checked bags. I would have been so sad if it was taken.
I moved to Europe 5 yrs ago. I love all the markets and yes switching your mindset to prices for your personal shopping works. To find the best deals for reselling hit the back streets, hidden alleyways etc. Ask the locals where they shop, and often to local pickers. I discovered some shops in Scotland that are 70% less then all the big name markets. Glad you enjoyed yourself and hope you return.
Maybe this information will be interesting for someone. The largest flea market in Europe is the Braderie de Lille with over 10,000 stalls. I've never been there, but maybe I'll have the chance next year. Greetings from Germany
This video had me riveted because I was wondering how you were going to get that painting home! I'm going to Paris this year and I am going to be overwhelmed by all the things I want to bring home. This video was very enjoyable I hope that I have as good a luck as you did at the markets.
What an amazing experience, the Paris flea markets, oh my goodness! And my favorite is your mid century painting, I soooo love that! Glad it made it home with no damage. It is exquisite. Thought you were going to get that little hand-what was it? Whatever it was, I loved that. And I also am so glad to see you got that interesting blue piece of pottery. I’m a bit of a pottery nut, love it so much, I’d have a hard time not buying too much of it there. Great video. Thanks for sharing your adventure. 🌸
I wanted the little hand so bad, but it was very pricey! So many things I had to leave behind, but glad I at least bought one big piece for myself. :) Thanks for watching!!!
I love your Gallery wall. I have Gallery Walls in my living room and dining room and I am now thrifting art to create a Gallery Wall in my Master Bedroom. Luckily, I live on my own so my Boho Decor is all my very own taste. I am digging your channel.
Thank you! The wall in my studio where I film is allllllll me, so I can do what I want. The rest of the house I try to be flexible, but usually do what I want there too. ;)
Andi ☀️ Please don't hate me for what I'm about to say. My father was in the Army & stationed in Orleans France which is right on the outskirts of Paris. We live there for 4 years when I was very young. Under 6-7? We had a French nanny named Madame Laurent. Both my parents worked. So on the weekend or even during the week we would stroll the markets of Paris. I of course remember how expensive everything was even as a child. Because candy was expensive even then.My memories of this time. We're Joyous & full of wonderful experiences & knowledge. I had my first snail 🐌 & champagne 🍾 at 5 years old. Many many years later I went back as an adult 40-year-old. It's still was the same incredible place but a lot more crowded. I had to tell myself I could only pick one special item for myself from the entire flea market because that's all I could afford. The prices were insanely ridiculous. I finally decided on an Antique jewelry set but it was so difficult to pick just one thing. It was so overwhelming when you first go in it's like your junk drunk but you're definitely not looking at junk. You're looking at quality pieces that should be in museums. If you're thinking about going definitely make sure you have a large cash budget. That way you won't be at the hotel later going damn I wish I would have bought that.😂 Because 9 times out of 10 it won't be there the next day. Thanks for sharing 🙏❤️
Heading there in a couple of weeks and Id love to know the first market that you visited which was more "open table". Also, how did putting the art on the plane go? Was it very pricey because it was separate from you bags?
The first market is: Porte de Vanves stop: 16-18 Av. Georges Lafenestre, 75014 Paris, France. Luckily the airline didn't charge me for the art because it fit in the special compartment at the front of the plane. They reserve this area for like instruments and wedding dresses you don't want to check. But there is always a risk they will turn you down. If you love art - France is amazing. I went to Belgium last month and the art wasn't nearly as good as Paris. Also, you may find some valuable nuggets in this blog post: stylebyemilyhenderson.com/blog/paris-vintage-decor-shopping-review
Hiii! Maybe I missed it but could you just tell me what the names of each flea market are? Going in October and would love to try to check them out! Thank you 🥰
Think she'd been influenced by the film ";The Rebel", re the Infantile S.O .A. She should have gone down the Rue de Rivoli, might have seen a Chaim Soutine, .Nice filming though. Hope she gets her stuff home ok.
Wiw. What treasures..wish i was there..iwould never leave..😊 if youcome across B B. Give her my love i loveher and i heard she wasnt well recently.. Cherie🌺from a nother french like town LAGUNA BEACH ca🌊🐬🎨🖼️🖌️
I think it was this one: 13 metro, Porte de Vanves stop: 16-18 Av. Georges Lafenestre, 75014 Paris, France. We did have to take the underground a few stops, but it was the closest to where we were staying.
Thank You so much! I was hoping it was the Vanves Market because that was already on our list to visit and I didnt want to have to find time to squeeze in another one! Haha! @@AllPutTogether
I scored it at thrift clearance sale years ago. I actually had it for sale for ages and no one bought it. Then one day I decided to wear it and now I will never be able to park with it!

Great sense of humour with bags of personality !
I love the brass hand, all the art and those spade carved stools! All of it! 😍😍
I wish I would have grabbed the hand! Although I feel like it was very pricey when I asked.

Paris Market!!!! Your large abstract colorful painting...Magnificent!!! U will never tire of its breathtaking beauty!!! 💞💞🙃💞💞
I still can't believe it arrived safely! It's one of my most cherished possessions now.
I’m insanely in love with your “big” painting❤. I have been to that flea market in Paris, and I could spend days there.
Thank you! It stood out so much in a sea of landscapes, still lifes and figure paintings. I just had to have it!

Thanks! My favorite thing to shop for in the whole world. If only I had a bigger budget... ;)
I feel the pencil drawing looks Medieval with a Lancelot flair and ghostly wood creatures.
Yes, totally!! I'm excited to see how it looks framed. It's very detailed for pencil.
Omg, dying over the vibrator bin. Are you sure that baguette isn’t also a vibrator too?
Loved all these video’s my friend

That little mauve bowl is for earrings you put earrings through the holes
I think the wooden box says "Trégastel" on the top which is a town in Brittany, France.
OMG You're totally right! Thank you so much for deciphering it. :)
I really like that baguette!🥖 haven’t looked at the price yet or even if it’s still for sale 😱 xx

Is there a name for the elephant chain in the background of your video?
I couldn't find any info on it when I looked it up. I'll have to ask my in-laws who gave it to me if they know. It's such a happy piece!
what is the name of the second Flea market you went to? the one you said was the largest in paris. thx in advance!!
Can you please do a video or tell us how felt can help determine the age? Thanks so much.
