I've lived with back pain since my 20s when I slipped and fell in my bathtub. Now in my 50s. Can't count how many times my back has gone out from lifting something heavy to something as simple as sitting in my chair. I have been laid up in bed for weeks unable to move, to having to use canes to walk. I found this channel after my most recent back pain. That was 3 weeks ago. I have found the information in these videos extremely helpful in getting my back back up and better. Thank you Bob & Brad.

What symptoms did you have in the beginning was your lower back feeling tight around the pelvis and did you get any spasms?

This just happened to me. I was cleaning the kitchen and my back went out. I had to lay over the island, and then hunch up the stairs to lay down to ice it. Needless to say, That is why I am here now.

I have a similar job where I'm sitting all the time. We need to get up and walk. I feel much better when I'm walking so I make sure to walk even if it's just to the bathroom every hour. If I don't do this, my back freezes up and will go out. I have arthritis. Hopefully your job allows you to do this. Humans weren't meant to be sitting or stuck in one position for long periods of time. It's too bad modern life doesn't let us move the way were supposed to be!

I’ve been straining/spraining (don’t know the difference) my low back for 15+ years. I probably have “crippled” myself about 7-8 times, I’m only 43. My most recent and worst one was last week where I had to use a cane to get to the car for a ride to urgent care for meds. Now I’ve always heard to ice it but I’ve always heated mine because it felt so tight. Heat always loosens me up and I can eventually stretch and crack my back. I tried ice one time and it got so tight I couldn’t move at all and was screaming in pain. I will never ice it again. I’ve never been stuck in bed more than 3 days until this last one which was 4 days. Now, I’m not 100% but I’m moving fine after 5 days. I always get prescribed muscle relaxers, naproxen and Tramadol. I only take the relaxers and Tramadol for 3 days usually.

If you guys still have your backs go out, what hope is there? : ) Seriously, this concise summary of information on warning signs and pre-emptive things to do is really helpful. I've jotted them down on a card to help improve my back habits. Also, for me now at day five after my worst sudden back strain, it is helpful even just hearing you say that just about everybody has his or her back go out now and then, and recovers. Encouraging. Thanks. Long time fan, first time commenter. Subscribed.

Do you have a Video to show of if/when your knee/s and/or hip/s about to go out, due to trip and fall injury? of so, I would love to see one/two, along with knee PT exercises for if the pain is in the inner and front bottom of your knee. Is it a possibility that when you have a trip and fall injury and feel the pain in one hip from falling and tripping forward, if it can cause pain and irritation in the other hip? if so, how can that be and is their some PT exercises that can be done to prevent future injuries especially with it being winter season. I've been doing yoga more regularly now, but the thing is I'm not very active. I think when I went into plank then into cobra and then into a downward facing dog I went too fast. I also have been a tech (web design) student for quite some time, you sit a lot in front of a computer, I've been telling myself to adjust my posture but now I'm just laying here watching videos on how to fix this...

I wish i could do these. I fell at work the other day. I fell about four feet backwards and hit the concrete on my lumbar area. doing what I can to keep moving and stretching to keep the muscles from tightening farther.

People need to do more yoga. It would solve a lot of back problems, having watched this video.

Thank you. This I really needed today but for one strange reason my body wanted warmth so I used a hot water bottle instead of ice. Can't straighten up today and exercise is hurting me a lot but they need to be done.
