I love this video and your Page!!! 🙂 Your adventures are so fun to watch and inspiring to continue enjoying the great outdoors...even when it gets tough! Thank you for sharing and thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much for helping me with carrying my kitchen sink LOL! Lots to learn too, but I absolutely loved it and it was such a pleasure meeting you, Troy, Steve, and Edie! 💜 Hope to meet up on another trail! Thank you x infinity! 🤗
MoonJuice! You were our trail angel who carried some of my friend's pack weight down from the saddle before the switchbacks this past weekend on that hike! We met Troy, Steve, and Edie Bark-ell with that cute lil' bell too. It was really a pleasure meeting all of you! I couldn't believe how much stuff you left at our Jeep waiting for her. I realized I did watch one of your videos already about the Haunted Canyon, and it's definitely on my radar. Maybe in Spring, we'll see! THANK YOU once again!! Reavis Ranch, I'll be back someday, but not when it's over 90 degrees out in October, hah!!
Hey you found me! 😁 Natalia had such a great attitude, despite the huge load she was hauling. We’ve all been there on our first backpacking trip, lugging that kitchen sink! I was happy to be able to help! Best part of the hiking community - looking out for each other. Nice meeting you all!
That’s a popular route for backpackers. I’m a Trail Angel with the ATA and I’ve done many shuttles from Picket Post to Roosevelt Lake. Reavis Ranch is a popular spot. I’ve been there from 3 different ways too; Rogers Trough, Reavis Gap, and Rt 88. Stay safe out there!
On the switchbacks up the hill from Rogers Canyon is the Reavis Grave Site. It's right next to the trail; is it no longer marked? And this time of year there should still be apples on the century-old trees in the orchard at Reavis Ranch.
We were expecting apples but there were absolutely none. 🙁 saw some notes online from a few weeks ago that there were some stragglers, but they were all small and few and far in between. We missed ‘em completely.
lol 😂😂😂 that’s as tan as these Scottish legs get! I mean, that’s the end result of hiking in shorts everyday, all summer. Shoot, I was getting pretty proud of how dark they’ve gotten. LOL.
Man are you always in Beastmode? 😂 Another great video. This is the year to get to the ranch for me. Question: what's the purpose of Eddie's bell? I have an idea but curious about it.
Oh yeah Theo, it’s such a good spot. The creek was VERY low. Dry in places where it’s usually flowing strong. Still water, but very little. Get out there while the gettin’s good! As for the bell, Troy said it’s to help him find her, she’s prone to exploring around camp… and it helps to scare away any predators that might be partial to dog meat.
@@MoonJuiceHikes I figured as much on the bell. My trail dog is a schitzto as well and thought that was a great idea. 🤣 It's so dry right now we are re-figuring our Peralta to Canyon lake adventure. 💀☠️
Troy found two that were more like prunes than apples… but they still tasted good! TBH, with enough brown sugar and butter, I could probably eat dirt, so no telling how bad those apples actually tasted. lol!

Thanks again for rescuing a damsel in distress and making our friend's hike more tolerable. It's the hottest I have ever been to Reavis
No problem at all Theresa, nice meeting you all.

So good to see you on the trail! The Gilbert 5…
Nice to see you too Robyn!
Hey MoonJuice, I haven’t watched in awhile but I noticed you look a lot leaner and meaner than the last time I watched one of your videos!
Very true! Dropped about 28lbs on the CT last year, and managed to keep it off. Hiking every day, really paying off!
I noticed that too. 🥳
Awesome😄
Edie Barkell❤️
I know what I know, if you know what I mean
Man that’s a long hike 🤣. I haven’t made it to Reavis yet. I need a beefier car to get out there. Looked like a good time!
Definitely need some clearance for that road… unless you want to start from Picketpost? 😵💫

Oh, and yes, the grave site is still there. I shot video of it last time I came through, just didn’t do it this time. 👍
@@MoonJuiceHikes I was out there this weekend as well and was bummed by the results. Last year was an amazing apple crop.
Juice, why the booty shorts in the Superstitions?! 😁😆
Wore the shades so the legs didn't blind me. 😎
JK! Nice video

No apples…

I'm Ray, and I don't party...
😂 nobody parties but me… and Ray
