This is slowly taking over “mainstream journalism” when will they realise that all people want to see is genuine conversations with genuine people. Keep up the good work Peter 👍🏻
There is definitely a huge target audience for more genuine journalism like this, but a lot of those people likely weren't watching mainstream media anymore to begin with (which includes me). I know that there are still a lot of people who are addicted to the emotional volatility and political hostility that you get out of mainstream news, and I doubt that many of those people will ever transition to this type of content, or at least they won't fully abandon their current sources of info.
As a native Northern California for 61 years, and I mean northern California, I find your content these last few weeks very special to my heart. Thank you Peter.
The young man you were interviewing seems like a genuinely nice dude, he's a also got so much knowledge and knows how to flow, and he just has so much in his head that he can. I quite enjoyed this one, not only because you have great content, but he was such a great person to interview!
Only the inherent bias that one gets when it's a tour from a guy that Peter meets, who introduces his mates, that will necessarily be similar to him...I'm guessing there are other groups of people in Shasta, who live differently
I lost my dad to Non Hodgkins Lymphoma on Christmas day. I'm broken inside, and still mourning. Yet this video was oddly calming in its own way. Lots of people with soothing voices and offbeat beliefs.
Wife and I have wondered the affect of Peters interviews has had on his own personal beliefs , then we realized how not knowing Peters personal beliefs helps us focus on the people he interviews. Keep up the excellent journalism Peter! 👊🏽
That hippie guy with green sweater and brown beanie is inspirational. If my investments pay off, I plan on simplifying my life as much as possible, and let my investments grow, while living the good life.
I’m a native Northern Californian and I found your videos as I was recovering from some health issues. I have to say your channel is on the top of my favorite channels. You do such a great job because you just let people be themselves and tell their stories and opinions in a very non-confrontational way. It’s amazing that you actually find out more about the world on your channel than by watching cable news. Thank you again and keep up the great work!
I lived in Mt. Shasta for many years in the late 90’s and early 2000. There is a completely different type of person who lives in that area than what you saw and interviewed. I hope you will show both sides. Families who have lived there from generation to generation with incredible stories to tell. You do a great job keeping it real Peter. It’s a stunning place isn’t it?
Though he did only seen one side I can say as someone who moved from Pennsylvania to Mendocino area, yea it was cool and I met awesome people but it's not safe for people like us. There is so many people that are crazy and/or on drugs out there it's not fun. I lived in Humboldt at 17 trying to grow weed just to lose 175k to some crazy guy. I'm luck I lived, the only way I got out of that was by stealing a work truck and driving to a greyhound bus station and getting a ticket home. I didn't even have a phone because the guy I worked for took my phone for 9 months.
Guess that's my fault for working for an illegal grow op. I didn't know what I was getting into until I realized Mt life meant nothing and that I was being robbed
Your wife is beautiful and such a delight to see her on camera too. PETER, I am oglala Lakota and Assinibione Sioux. My rez is Fort Peck up in NE Montana. I.want you to know how much my family and I enjoy your videos and your wonderful, open, non judgemental heart you approach people with. Thank you for documenting America as you do. I'm a 20 year Emergency Dept Registered Nurse. Not all individuals who are from the rez stay there, but our hearts and spirit keeps close by. We hope you keep 🙏🏽 your channel up and going, thank you for all you expose us to. Aho Mitakuye Oyasin
This is real journalism. Not two people sitting in a room with lights and cameras having a scripted interview lol. The fact that we get to watch these videos totally free on TH-cam without having to pay for cable to get it? Priceless. I have learned more from watching your videos, Peter, than I think I have in my whole life when it comes to different people around the world and how they live. It's just amazing that you've devoted your life to this and you're doing SUCH A GOOD JOB at it. Please keep them coming. I'm here for all of them!!!
@@Yessirski916 Ummmmm........... so you're saying that all of these people that he's finding here that literally LIVE IN MOUNT SHASTA are..............fake locals?? I'm sure he didn't plant them there and tell them what to say lol. How ridiculous
The bead maker, near the end of clip ,showing his creations had some fantastic work there. The quill work from what I could see looked outrageous. Top quality.
As a Norwegian, this this channel has taught me so much about american culture. You wont get this anywhere else! Thank you so much Peter for making these incredible videos!
The majority of these interviews involve folks who live on the “fringe” of American society. They are a component of our society, but do not necessarily interact with the mainstream. They exist separate from the general population.
@@pamkriner5945yes, but not exactly. Just because they live the fringe life doesn't mean they are not a huge component to our society. You're basically saying that only people in the cities matter, but anyone else doesn't contribute to the culture. You'd be surprised how many city folk either came from or are currently moving out of these fringe areas of the country or have adapted this type of culture into their everyday life.
@@AlwaysCheckmateNeverStalemateno sir, I did not say that…you did. Not sure about the “huge” component, but they are increasing. And no, city folk and cities do not create a culture, although roughly 80% of the population exists in urban areas. That does not mean those of us who live in rural areas are unimportant.
@@pamkriner5945I encourage you to watch more of his "older" videos. He has been to many places in the U.S. that are more town/city focused than the places he has been in California.
I hope this guy makes it. I see a guy that could contribute a lot but the economics situation got him trapped. Keep going young man, don't let it grind you down.
@joeducker8543 I would disagree, consider myself more of a realistic person. "Problem" with you is living in your parents basement and sucking off the system. Now is that negative or reality? Maybe I'm the sucker for working. 🤔
Both @densitymatrix1 and @chrism-h5u are correct here and have good intentions and solid reasoning behind what they said. and Hey man I appreciate you so much and I wouldn’t say the economic situation has me trapped, but like the wu tang being stranded in Staten Island, Shasta is a very remote and unheard of place with many challenges including economics and the environment created by being isolated. It takes a long time to create a culture for yourself and music and art based on that culture that allows you to succeed and use your isolation and habitat as a tool to make something truly unique and beautiful.
Love this. I'm originally from Southern Oregon- and so miss Mount Shasta. So glad Peter shows the earnest humanity in everything, everywhere he goes. Love everyone he featured in this video.
At 68, I feel like the people & vibration in this video at Mt. Shasta is a journey I've been on my whole life. This & and the Appalachian videos, which are the roots of my people, resonate with my soul. Thank you Peter.
Are they tho ? I love the stories and positivity people share with each other but at some point you can’t ignore the fact that some of these people are crazy and instead of setting them straight with reality they feed their delusions
Man, I'm from Sweden. Never visited USA. Never wanted to until I saw your videos. So many great places and people. Would love to drive around to places movies and media never show us. Amazing!
California has the same population as Canada and There are hundreds of square miles of wilderness in California that gets no mainstream media attention. I've lived here my entire 64 years and will never see all the great places in California.
Just curious, what sort of stuff does media show you over there? Probably the worst, which is fair these days, but these videos really start to show you the variety of people and communities here. I'm around Chicago so that video series was so cool to see.
Lived in CA for 65 years. All these places that now have this large, displaced groups of people used to be incredibly quiet and uncrowded. I could hike the Sierras and not see another person for days. It is a really different place now.
I live in far Nor Cal. There's still plenty of places that are incredibly quiet and uncrowded, if you get far enough north from I-80 and stay away from the I-5 corridor.
Peter is a great interviewer and mostly importantly a good listener. He does not interrupt his interviewee and let the flow of the conversation go on so smoothly. Enjoy all your video as it is so eye opening to hear people from different background speak their mind.
One of my favorite episodes, Shasta people remind me of many of the people I have met around medicine circle journeys, thanks Peter, I appreciate your open mind and heart and willingness to step outside of what you know and to show us who and what’s out there on this beautiful planet❤
Fun Fact for me is we've seen Peter try many, many new foods and, every time he eats a new dish he gives the impression each was better than the last. Super respectful fellow because we all know (not speaking on this soup) he has had to have regretted a few! Hats off to him for that!
This is the Peter Santenello style I fell in love with some years ago! This is raw, talented journalism, amazing editing and storytelling, and most of all, traveling off the beaten path to tell a powerful story ... Keep up the amazing work, Peter! 👏👏👏
Your tour guide is spot on with his “knowingness”. Great hearing him share. Total resonance. Very spiritually intuned. He knows of ancient knowledge and probably our true history. Thanks for this video!!
Peter, I think the reason so many of us are drawn to your videos versus other people's doing similar things is how much you open yourself up to the people you talk with in front of the camera, to tell your history and your experiences as a young guy living in a van, for instance let us know you a bit and lets your interviewee know you.. and knowing someone even just a little bit makes you feel like you can be honest with them.. makes you feel like you can trust them a little and I have never seen you betray that trust, which is what so many people do for drama.....Respect ! Great video !
My mother’s family is from CA. I lived there my first 12 years. The hiking was heaven, wine country, fresh fish markets, panning for gold, lots of classical and jazz concerts. Super great memories. Thanks for all your awesome videos. Im hooked. Hope you keep them coming!!!
As an ex-deli manager at Grocery Outlet in Ukiah (Northern Ca) I can attest to the fact that Grocery Outlet there has some of the best specialty cheeses and one of the best wine selections I've ever seen. PS I also live out of my Yukon XL and am traveling about Northern Ca. Currently working at WinCo in Eureka. This store is crazy yo. Stay blessed
I was having lunch in Berryvale Grocery years ago. At the table next to mine were three "farmer" types. By that, I mean they were wearing flannel shirts, denim overalls, worn and muddy boots, and hats with farming equipment logos. Their ages appeared to be from 40s to 80s. They were having an honest (supportive, not ridiculing) conversation about energy healing.
I enjoyed watching this ❤ I was born in Yreka Mt Shasta to me growing up Was a scary powerful feeling. Even after part of my family moved away, the most of them Stayed in the siskyou County. When I would seldom visit Passing Mt Shasta I always felt you must give her respect 🙏🏼 ask permission for safe travel and honor her by poring Water in to the ground and Then Touching the ground with your full hand ✋ Closing your eyes an be silent Tell you felt her ok that your free to pass... It's a very powerful feeling...
My family had a cattle ranch over the mountain from you between Ft Jones and Callahan. Many good times in the 60's and 70's there. I did a lot of deer hunting there and I never ran into any hippies or anything out in the woods. Most of the ranchers did not care for city people.
"I read all the time"..100% is evident. Compare Bryson, his knowledge, authority, amd confidence in what he is saying with many of the rest of the younger generation who camt read mich more than an X post amd you will clearly see how reading can literally change lives.
Why am I crying....I love each one of you! Thank you for sharing your spirit of light and love. Beautiful souls...everyone is missing this kind of love. This is WHY Northern California is where I call home. Mt. Shasta is my heart. Thank You Peter!
"Words are made by spelling. You spell words and you cast spells. Words are magic." Great orators have always known the power of the spoken word and musicians , the power of a lyric, but i do not think i have ever heard it put so eloquently. Very interesting and thought provoking. Thanks.
Mt Shasta is actually the wealthiest town in Siskiyou County. You want so see people who are actually struggling, check out the east side of the county where big Ag has taken over the farmland, and the mills were shut down years ago.
That's not saying much. I have spent time in the area. Mt Shasta is still a very working class town with a median household income of $48,000. It is also not cheap, -only by California standards. There are wealthy people of course but they are small minority and often live outside of town, and there is a lot of poverty and crime and drugs in Shasta.
@jKLa when I said "wealthiest", it was certainly meant in relative terms. I grew up on the north/east side of the mountain in Butte Valley. Mt Shasta was able to maintain somewhat of an economy through tourism and the "crystal hippies" who make regular pilgrimages there. The rest of the county, which is the 2nd largest in the State, was hard hit by the woods getting shut down, and subsequently the mills. Much of the farming in the valley has been taken over by BigAg unfortunately.
Thank you for doing this, Peter. Mt. Shasta has been on my bucket list. Now I know from this video that it’s not just a spiritual ground but a lot of awesome people that live there from all around the world. Many blessings to you! 🙌🏻
As a European I have just been binging your unknown USA videos. My god the nature is absolutely stunning. The people are also great and the sense of community and connectedness is really something I envy as a city rat in the Netherlands.
Go there Man, if you are not disabled or too old, go there.... you can always go back to the city when you are old.... i love Amsterdam, but it's a 'virtual reality' , Nederlands is a 'virtual reality', Nederlands has no nature, everything is man made an man managed, the Mountain is calling you....
Here in the States, you need to get away from the big cities to find the people that make this country great. We love our freedom and I myself would love for Europeans to have all the freedoms that we have.
My experience, having oived in Europe and the US is that Americans believe in a very rudimentary kind of freedom. More of an egoistic, I want to do what I want and don’t care about how it affects others. Freedom for me but not for others. Rles for the others, but not for me. Not individualism but collective egoism. Take that we car dependence and lack of third places, living in Europe provides more freedom of live and thought than the US.
Best video ever, Peter. Words can't express what meeting my neighbors to the north has brought to me. Blessings to this community, from an old lady in Southern California. My spirit is with your spirit.
Heck Yeah, love to see this episode. I have travelled the I-5 from the Bay to Oregon at least 7-8 times a year for the past 25 years or so. I've always admired Shasta from the road but just the past two years or so I've made it a point to go hike around/camp/explore the mountain area. One could say, the mountain has been "calling me"! I would highly recommend checking out Pluto's Cave next time you're in the area (although if it's covered in the video, forgive me, I am just starting the episode!). I LOVE your channel Peter, keep up the good work!
I lived at the base of Mount Shasta for 27 years. When I arrived there in the early nineties it was a whole different energy than it is in 2024. There was no internet and not so much tourism. We could live all summer long up on the mountain in solitude. Back then we could legally camp at Castle Lake, Panther Meadows, Lake Siskiyou, the river, and have a mineral spring bath at Ney Springs. Rarely did people visit the waterfalls there. The sacred spots remained sacred because no one was posting it online with directions to get there. Soul Connections came in and eventually took over part of the town, and more and more crystal shops opened. It’s turned into a mini Sedona. Housing costs skyrocketed and to rent in town is virtually impossible. Thank you for sharing…I even recognized a local I once knew…
Even Sedona was waaay different in the 1990s, which is when I first visited and fell in love. In love enough to move there twice (2007 and late 2019), but world events of economy and pandem*c told me it's a place to visit but not inhabit. It now has all the same issues as Mt Shasta. Sedona's gotten so so commercialized that the town has lost much of its appeal. The wilderness areas still hold the magic though. And talking to the people who lived there in the 1980's was revelatory.
I Lived in Northern California for 25+ years, My youngest daughter stayed in the Harmony of Nature when I moved home. I am planted in a low-profile cabin right in the middle of the City now, close to my "nearly" blind mother's neighborhood. She is 90 and still mows her lawn, (a mom who grew up on a Dairy Ranch). Most of all I miss the water, rocks, and trees. I am happily dreaming about the day when I will return to nature. Thanks, Peter for today.
This was a very enlightening video. I’m from the Northeast and I thought I knew something about this country. This gave me a whole different perspective and insight on a whole new level of knowledge and spiritual understanding and living in America.💙🙏🏽💙
Yeah. Of course its not the gun types that leave areas trashed with shattered plastic target disks, beer cans, broken glass bottles while also dumping tires, oil and other crap.
I was hoping you did a video on Mount Shasta. Im from the UK but did a road trip from San Francisco all the way to Portland stopping at all of the volcanoes along the way, Mount Shasta, Mount Jefferson, Mount St Helens and Mount Hood. All absolutely beautiful and awe inspiring mountains with incredible beauty and nature. Mount Shasta seems to attract a lot of mystery as well which added to its charm.
I really ended up enjoying this video much more than I thought I would. I initially had the same first impression of 'Oh, more hippies...' but something urged me to stick with it and I'm so glad I did. Thank you for sharing their story!
The private community is great. If you are like me and have fell in love with this channel you will enjoy watching all the behind the scenes stuff. It really ties in perfectly and answers questions you may have and honesty questions you don't realize you have about almost every episode... especially the newer episodes.
The variety of lifestyle depicted in Peter's videos reevaluated my perception of how we could *BE* in this world. What makes this videos interesting is how relevant they are to us, for they are a life of us in different people, so close, yet different. Each community of whom Peter came across, whether the folks in Hawaii, the historically inculcated Cajun country, the eerie and quaint Appalachia...expresses a certain kind of truth that discerns their quality of life, in which it is unconcealed when one becomes immersed in it.
I'm a guy from Los Angeles.Born and Raised. The first time I drove to Shasta and Weed County I was in awwwwww. Especially seeing Mnt Shasta for the first time. People are very nice. Very slow paced. There's alot of misfits. Definitely a must see place. Just becareful.
I have spent a little time in Mt.Shasta. We have family in Red Bluff and Redding. I have never seen a mountain that stands out like she does. On a clear day you can see her clearly from as faraway as Yuba City. A couple years ago we were up there in our Van and slept across the street from the police station. We were respectful and were not harassed at all. My husband has climbed Mt. Shasta numerous times and one of his many stories is that he lost an ice axe to a Lumarian. Apparently they have sticky fingers. I found this video delightful and I was glad to get introduced to these colorful characters who are living life on their terms. Thank you and I look forward to seeing more of your content.
Same. I exited Nor Cal 5 years ago my home for 40 years. Settled here in a small rural community on the Oregon Coast. Florence, Oregon the beaches, famous sand dunes, Lakes/Rivers with crystal clear waters, majestic forests. I have found peace here with a community who respects one another and the environment.
The wholesomeness and human connection…highly captivating, Peter! I was just on a roadtrip in the summer of ‘24, and hit CA299 toward Reno, passing through the Shasta Trinity region. Seeing your videos now, makes me realize how much I missed by traversing through, rather than stopping and giving in to the “feeling” of awe that I had while passing through. Lesson learned…listen to your inner voice while road tripping.
I grew up around this mountain. My dad’s family is from here. I recently just moved away to the midwest for different opportunities. These videos couldn’t come at a better time since they remind me of home and what I grew up around. Thank you Peter
I am so grateful for this channel. It is a reminder of how much we can learn just by listening; and a lesson in how to ask better questions of those we encounter in our own lives. Thank you Peter, and Natalya for your excellent editing. 🌻
Really love your videos so much! I am a Christian conservative American and try everyday never to judge anyone’s beliefs or lifestyles but always want to learn more about them! Your videos are so good in shedding light into another person’s world with respect and consideration! Keep them coming!
As a Christian conservative American who grew up in the woods, I find I have a lot more in common with these people than I would think. I want the same thing in the end as the one fellow put it: “I want to live naturally and die naturally”.
I am a Christian and I get kind of sad that these men are so lost. They could knock and Jesus would answer but they are playing with crystals and praying to mountains.
@@benjaminhoffman3848 I don't think Jesus would mock these folks - he would meet them where they are in life. That's the difference between praying to Jesus just because a book says so, and actually striving to be like him and follow his pure heart. Peace.
Messge to the dude you interviewed… Glad you got out. Patience with your family is the right way to help them see the light. Your philosophy is sound for a good life. Keep the faith in yourself.. Peter: you are showing the true heart of America and it is good.
I'm from the UK so it's never going to happen but man these places in your most recent videos are calling out to me. I appreciate you giving us a glimpse into these beautiful places and wonderful peoples lives. All the best
What synchronicity! Out of nowhere, I started looking up videos on Lemuria and Agartha at 3am. Then, when I opened Ytube, I didn't see the location I just saw "Inside America's Most Mysterious Place". Then I clicked on your video. When you said Mt Shasta, chills ran thru my entire body! Crazy! I love how the universe responds. Thanks for what you do.
While most travel vlogs focus on hopping from one country to another, Peter’s vlogs opened our eyes to the cultural richness that can exist within a single country, it’s incredible how vast USA is, I can’t wait for the vlogs on the Pacific Northwest.
I visited Redding, CA over 40 years ago -- I was 19 at the time. Haven't been there since. Having grown up and lived in the NYC area my whole life, I am still astounded that I was able to see Mount Shasta from the house of the family member I was visiting at the time.....over 60 miles away! Crazy!!
Peter, your videos are awesome! I found you by accident because my wife and I moved out here to North Carolina 3 years ago from California. We were fortunate to retire early. I'm so interested in southern history so I watched one of your videos from the Appalachian mountains and towns. I've been hooked ever since 6 months ago. I love how you keep it so real. Great job! I always look forward to your next video and wonder where you will be next. Be safe out there! 5 STARS!
It's difficult not to get sucked into your videos and learn from such diverse people. What a great group on this mountain! Brysons is such a charismatic young man and so bright. You bring out the best in the people you interview across the board! I share your work no matter how old the video!
I’ve been living in Mt Shasta for the past 10 years, and unfortunately this video doesn’t represent a very wide scope of what’s really going on in this magical place. It only shows a very small fraction of certain activities and personal perceptions, but it misses a lot of important things and very special locations such as: the mountain itself, ascension rock, Panther Meadows, Pluto Caves, the Lemurian Ponds and many more places and stories to share. I hope that whoever watches this video, will do their research and learn more about Mount Shasta. There is so much more….As a start, I highly recommend you read this book: A DWELLER ON TWO PLANETS. God bless and happy new year! 🙏🏻🧡🔥
i have a cattle ranch north of the mountain -- we dont see any of these crystal zombies in the north valley -- around here its cows , herd size , alfalfa , trucks with trump stickers , people shooting , coyotes , wolves , my 49 jeep is always in 4wd , pronghorn antelopes , bears , bigfoots
I agree with you about the magic of Mt Shasta, but I feel it's not meant to be a busy tourist attraction. If you know, you know, and it doesn't feel like convincing others, including locals, should be the intention. I felt the same away about the standing stones in Callanish, Scotland, it's meant to be unassuming. 💫💜
This video made me so happy! I grew up in Ashland, Oregon in the 50s-70s. Even though Ashland is North of the Ore/Cali line, I always felt like Mt. Shasta was in my back yard. The scenery around the lake in the video felt so familiar to me, I could smell it! I'm so lucky to have lived in Hawaii for most of 40 years, but I sure do get homesick for southern Oregon and Northern California. Thanks so much, Peter!
Man, Peter...this was a really good one. I could relate to what the people were saying. Once I would've been like "woo woo", but NOW I'm like I can relate to this. And I love how the woman with her kids recognized you and you were kind and willing to do a quick selfie and keep flowing with the interviewing. Real cool folks out there.
I totally agree! I wanted so much to hear her back story if she was willing to share. I keep saying this every, Saturday. This is the best video, no way he is going to top this one, and next week comes along and Peter does it again!
Peter my God you do such an amazing job with your videos and showing the lives of people in these places on earth we would never think of! I myself have been on a spiritual journey and I appreciate the perspective of others on the same journey! Jesus I believe is what connects us all and that is what people need to focus on!
While I don't know anything personally about the spiritual aspects of shasta, I will say that it's very unusual to see any land-form from so far away. On a clear day, I can see shasta on 5 going north for almost an hour before I get to it. I don't drive that fast, lol. That always stuck out in my mind since I was little, (coming from the central coast),. Only in recent years have I been hearing the stories in mainstream media. I had no idea. Many camping trips to Castle Crags with views of Shasta from the peaks. Jaw dropping beauty. The people who live/work up there are a hardy lot. Cheers.
I can't even express how much I love this experience with you all. ❤ ✨😁 I live amongst the ancient Redwoods in Humboldt. Such beautiful Souls expressing the gift of Life.
Thank you Peter for bringing back all my wonderful childhood memories of Siskiyou County. From Hoopa, Klamath (Karuk heritage), and now Mt Shasta, I’m enjoying every bit of the cultures, adventures, and history you’re exploring. Yootva.
I spent a summer in early 2000's living in the foothills. It was heavenly. Drove into town about once a week to get groceries and fill up at the spring. I remember the small farmers market and the bakery with the great baguettes.
Peter, Im late to comment and most likely wont be seen by you, but your videos show the everday person what life is like in parts of America that we don't see everyday. I watch every one of your videos, they bring me hope and inspire me to travel and embrace different cultures. God Bless you!
Ha! I grew up in the bay, but I've spent *a lot* of time up in Shasta, swimming, hiking, living, it's an incredible place. You can feel it in the air when you're up there.
Same story for all of norcal and sw oregon. Mexican, eastern European, and south Asian cartels run the business and "legalization" made it easier for them to get away with it
Always so beautiful people you met. From Switzerland, it's very different but we feel the common ground about nature and life. Hope one day, all nations of the world could live peacefully like this. Simple, humble, alive. Thanks for all your work Peter.
Thanks so much for this one, Peter. I used to get the best advice from the Buddhist Monastery on Mt.Shasta. The monks and nuns were great. Mt.Shasta was called the Holy Mountain by the Indians. Beautiful country.
@@masoncarter6709 this is part of the problem. Ppl like me are not necessarily aware of this lifestyle. But when we compliment we are chastised. He meant well.
There is so much energy and knowledge in this video I'll have to watch again. A true step outside my little world. Blessings to those who strive to protect the best of nature.
Hi what a place you're fortunate to know these people. I was wondering if you know the man's name or a site that I can find him he is the one fasting ,I would love to learn more about it. I figured you may know him also. Thanks if you do and even if you don't..

You do a great job keeping it real Peter. It’s a stunning place isn’t it?

Though he did only seen one side I can say as someone who moved from Pennsylvania to Mendocino area, yea it was cool and I met awesome people but it's not safe for people like us.

Mt Shasta is actually the wealthiest town in Siskiyou County. You want so see people who are actually struggling, check out the east side of the county where big Ag has taken over the farmland, and the mills were shut down years ago.
What areas?
Bro fighting whos poorer 😂
@@viviansavage1138 right, it's the least low income town in the area, but it is still rather low income as well as being a socially troubled place.

As a European I have just been binging your unknown USA videos. My god the nature is absolutely stunning. The people are also great and the sense of community and connectedness is really something I envy as a city rat in the Netherlands.
Funny i was just thinking how much more i would get along with city people in northern Europe
Probably also depends on the region. California seems kind of special. My experience with the Midwest and South is quite different.
Best video ever, Peter.
Words can't express what meeting my neighbors to the north has brought to me.
Blessings to this community, from an old lady in Southern California.

I loathe that sort of takeover. It’s never good.
I found these off the grid-ers speaking lots of mumbo jumbo, hocus pocus

The variety of lifestyle depicted in Peter's videos reevaluated my perception of how we could *BE* in this world. What makes this videos interesting is how relevant they are to us, for they are a life of us in different people, so close, yet different. i have a cattle ranch north of the mountain -- we dont see any of these crystal zombies in the north valley -- around here its cows , herd size , alfalfa , trucks with trump stickers , people shooting , coyotes , wolves , my 49 jeep is always in 4wd , pronghorn antelopes , bears , bigfoots
Same! Very much a Mt. Hood vibe
So glad I found your channel. I was just a sad old Huell Howser fan til I found you carrying on that great tradition. Thanks for all you do !
Peter,
Im late to comment and most likely wont be seen by you, but your videos show the everday person what life is like in parts of America that we don't see everyday.
Only half way into this video....BY FAR THE BEST INTERVIEW EVER.......thank you !!!
The Shasta area also has a problem with Hmong weed farmers and drug cartels.
That day will come😊
Love ❤Switzerland 😊
Maybe your best ability, Peter, is your ability to find awesome people to chat with. This guy is such a diamond in the rough. Another banger. 🙌
Watching 3am from Sydney - Happy new year ya’ll 🎄🇦🇺
Thanks Peter!
Watching from Poland 5:30pm Happy New Year 🇵🇱
“Ya’ll” 😂😂😂
Thanks so much for this one, Peter. I used to get the best advice from the Buddhist Monastery on Mt.Shasta. The monks and nuns were great. Mt.Shasta was called the Holy Mountain by the Indians. Beautiful country.
Natives. Indians are from the country on India
Their all demonic idols.... Jesus Christ the Lord God Almighty is the ONLY Great One we can look up to
@@masoncarter6709Actually some natives still call themselves Indians. It all depends on who you talk to.
@@masoncarter6709 this is part of the problem. Ppl like me are not necessarily aware of this lifestyle. But when we compliment we are chastised. He meant well.
@@GoldFingerCasper I didn’t read that as chastising. I read it as clarification. Please be open to knowledge. I mean well too.
There is so much energy and knowledge in this video I'll have to watch again. A true step outside my little world. Blessings to those who strive to protect the best of nature.
This is the best TH-cam channel. Have become obsessed with Peter’s content. Can’t beat the authenticity
omg! my home! my friends! rex, morgan, david, sparrow, joshua, orion! so cool to see this upload!
Hi what a place you're fortunate to know these people. I was wondering if you know the man's name or a site that I can find him he is the one fasting ,I would love to learn more about it. I figured you may know him also. Thanks if you do and even if you don't..
