  • In this video I clean up a Type 1 No. 129 that was made between 1876 and 1886. This old plane is an example of a survivor that did not see a lot of use.

    I'll bet you get a really nice feeling testing out a plane with as much history behind it as that one. If the old tools could talk they'd have some great stories to tell wouldn't they...thanks for sharing that one with us Keith.

    In one part you said it should be around for the 200th birthday, did you mean the plane's birthday or the country's? Absolutely beautiful plane. My wife had a young-un born and died in 1976, sure wish I could afford to get that beauty from you. I don't think my wife would let me use it through, she would want to put it with her collectibles for Hershel.

    Got two planes from 1950-1960s today and I'm very unhappy with them they don't looks good or work well so I'm sticking with my Stanley no.4 sw
