The best Circular Plane Stanley made! A complete restoration including japanning touchup, straightening a bent iron, and how to remove the flexible sole pins.
Great job on that No. 20. I have the same one that I was going to sell on ebay but after seeing your video, it's a keeper and will get the same treatment. Thank you for taking the time to post this.
Love that number 3, and thanks for sharing the wood wig technique. Can't think what just now , but it's got to be a source of man-fun going forward. You're so eccentric but seriously knowledgable you could be British (an enormous compliment). Keep it up. Lovin' it!
It's very instructive and useful to see the plane taken apart. Without that I doubt I'd have dared to try it myself, and the restoration would have been much more of a hassle. Thank you for that!
I wish I had someone to hand tools down to me, I want tools to use to build boats but thanks them now being collectable they fetch silly money and I can't afford them! I'm going to have to try and make one.
It turned out beautifully. Do you have a link to your sharpening jig/tool? I have one of the smaller clamp-on jigs, but yours looks like it would be way more accurate. Thanks in advance.
Great video again. I see you are using the purple blue sandpaper and you ask me what I thought about it. Well I’m still using it and it is holding up very well. What do you think?
Hey that's my plane! It looks GREAT! Thank you so much for sharing the restoration. You do such great work.
