I have seen in the background some handsaws and my question is what grit do you use to restored the saw handles and outstanding job on the plane 👏

From what I’ve read on wooden planes, is they never came with finish from the factory but that was on all wooden ones. May or may not be the same for transitions all planes

Do you think that I could use shellac? If so would I shellac first and then use Howard’s wax? Thanks very much

Using a plane on wood is often faster than hand sanding

I can't turn off the computer, I'm watching you. Hard to believe how much wax, or whatever that was, came off that plane bottom. She sure looks good now though. Thanks for sharing.

Keith, I looked but couldn’t find (maybe I missed it) a video you may have made on restoring/repairing the old wood planes. The ones that were earlier than the transitional planes. The ones with an angled wooden piece with two sharp sides to hold the blade and chipper in.

Good Morning and Merry Christmas. I have a very small "collection" of planes including a few transitional planes some of them need to have the very bottom replaced or repaired. Do you have or plan to have a video showing how to do this. I am a professional novice woodworker but this has me stumped.

Do you happen to have a Stanley NO.32 transitional plane lever cap, chip breaker, and iron in your pile that you wouldn't mind parting with? My husband has a beautiful NO.32 but it's missing those parts. He could even use a tote for it as well. The horn is mostly broke off and it has a nasty split. Thanks!

I think you need to take some time and go to woodprix website to learn how to make it.
