@@jakenough2753 yes that blue is not common at all. I thought about that blue for a minute but it was going to be too much work to get the door jams and engine bay redone in the that blue. Thank you! 🙏
Not gonna lie, when i saw that bed, up here in new england that frame would be toast, i thought your uncle ripped you off, and i got offended on your behalf, as a member of the council of uncles who are also mechanics, hah. But the frame was nice and he helped you do the whole resto, his cool uncle credentials have been reinstated, hah.
Bro that is a ton of work. Congrats on completing. Couple questions - why didnt you at least rattle can the frame? How did you paint the bed so cheaply? thanks, subbed
@@Fred_Durst1 I thought about rattle can the frame but potential buyers think you are hiding rust and it throw them off completely. I went to the paint supply store to get the oem color code of the truck and with one spray paint bottle painted only the inside of the bed, which when installed I would have not been able to do unless I removed it once more. Thank you 🙏
@@vicfixit3504 well reasonable duration for a hard restoration 👍🏽 its great project if u r using the car “because as u said u know the history of the car” , but u sold it right away after done flipping it, so my question is don’t u think its too long “6 months “ for flipping a car for profit?
@@vicfixit3504 well then it make sense to restore it 👍🏽cause doing a flip for 6 months make a bit of money wasn’t reasonable for me at first but since u used it thats smart and reasonable 👍🏽👍🏽keep up the good content
This is one of the most solid trucks ever built.
@@rolloff1218 I could not agree more with you!
Engine yes. Body, no.
That replacement bed was actually a rare color. Would love to spray one of my 7.3s in that blue. Nice modern resto!

Where did you get a bed for 250?? Wow they go for 2000.00 in chicago. Mine is not quite as bad as uncs but not much better would love to do this
