Where did you get a bed for 250?? Wow they go for 2000.00 in chicago. Mine is not quite as bad as uncs but not much better would love to do this
@@danmchugh611 I was able to source it out on offer up, the gentle had it in the yard taking space and just wanted it out. It was a steal of a price!
Been doing all the exact same work on a 2000 F-350. I'm keeping mine though...great video!
@@TheBruel Awesome they are great trucks and drive amazing! 🙏 thank you
Wow all the views.. support the channel hit that 👍
@@Pilli1101 🙏 thank you
Not gonna lie, when i saw that bed, up here in new england that frame would be toast, i thought your uncle ripped you off, and i got offended on your behalf, as a member of the council of uncles who are also mechanics, hah. But the frame was nice and he helped you do the whole resto, his cool uncle credentials have been reinstated, hah.

LOL I was with it until we got to the wheels. SMH should have just kept it simple with the factory look.
@@meemeeBUNK understandable
Bro that is a ton of work. Congrats on completing. Couple questions - why didnt you at least rattle can the frame? How did you paint the bed so cheaply? thanks, subbed
@@Fred_Durst1 I thought about rattle can the frame but potential buyers think you are hiding rust and it throw them off completely. I went to the paint supply store to get the oem color code of the truck and with one spray paint bottle painted only the inside of the bed, which when installed I would have not been able to do unless I removed it once more. Thank you 🙏
Very silly filming , makes me dizzy , fix the camera 🤨
I would have swapped the headlights and tires 😊
@@victorbaird8220 I thought about swapping the wheels and tires from the EX since they are alloy wheels but the tires were worn down, didn’t want an added expense!

Very good cheap restoration video. $42 per hours, you’re the cheapest mechanic in the US, don’t forget you had a partner at least give him $12 an hour out of 30. The only profit you made was a video on youtube. Beside the fact that flipping cars without a dealer license is ilega, as you mentioned on a comment most of the time you just jump title which is also ilegal. And painting cars on your drive way and killing the O zone is also ilegal. That’s why our country is fucked and we had to choose Trump again.
Where are you post the list
@@limitless2416 Hello, not understanding the question or comment.
@@vicfixit3504 Sorry. I mean where are you posted the car for sale . Like FB marketplace or somewhere else.
That replacement bed was actually a rare color. Would love to spray one of my 7.3s in that blue. Nice modern resto!
@@jakenough2753 yes that blue is not common at all. I thought about that blue for a minute but it was going to be too much work to get the door jams and engine bay redone in the that blue. Thank you! 🙏
Wow that paint does not match 😳 😕 it looks blue not silver 😳 😐 😂 repaint it before you sell it if not you will have to give it for way less
@@hildajuarbe6570 since it was such an economical vehicle, it stayed that way and the new buyer was was very excited for the vehicle. I did change my paint supplier company since.
Who cares for $3700.
Why sell it for so cheap you could have got 5k easily
@@christophertorres9568 yes indeed, but it was a starter car for a family and felt the need to help them.
Amazing work , but does it get worth the money and the amount of work u do to it , for the money u get? Or u do it mostly like a side thing or hobbie?
@@MaryAlecu more than anything it’s a hobby and also a side thing.

@@jc-dc604 🙏 thank you! They are truly amazing trucks.
Nice job. I think it would be better if you did it without the music in the background and perhaps put the video into a series of steps and you show the work being done with no music. But otherwise I enjoyed.

@@cutliss I did register the silver one but the blue one was then sent to the junkyard, no need to register it.

@@tucuquito2 many fear the timing belt job.
This is a great side hassle for someone who knows what they’re doing and whiling to make it happened.
@@tucuquito2 yes indeed.
Yeahh, I knew it wasn't gonna sell for near 7k lol. That was crazy. I love my 08 accord but its not worth that much and last year i got a crosstour for 6k. I don't count my accord because i got it on auction in 2017 for 2,500
@@samlung2724 thanks for your input. I like to start high and could always work the price down.
Hmm🤔. Total cost of car with parts totaled $3114. Adding your labor cost to it in the amount of $1485.92 (92.87 p/hr x 16 hrs) brings your total out of pocket to $4599.92 (car, parts and labor). Sold for $4600 which makes your profit $.08 cents. But i guess you can include that labor into that factor but that should be included into the overall costs into the car, at least what i think. 🤷🏻♂️
@@stevelozano9523 Thanks for your input, that’s another way to look at it. I can do also do a flat labor rate of $50 per hour and the difference of $42 per hour as a profit. The way I factor in the profit is how much money did I receive back at the end of the day.
@@vicfixit3504 gotcha. I thought the $92 was the rate you used.
