    😳🎃 seeds???😲 I love pumpkin seeds, but I had no idea it had more protein than an egg. It fact, I did not know pumpkin seeds had protein. I ❤️ it!!!

      It doesn’t, the protein in seeds is way less bioavailable than that of an egg and is not fully absorbed when you eat it.

    Thanks for the video, Lisa! You literally saved my life! (Need to consume higher protein to live through my chemo treatment.) What a surprise, milk is actually good, just as is peanut butter and the rest of the foods I like! 🎉 Can't wait to see more encouraging videos about tasty and healthy stuff. 👋

    Very informative! I love lentils but have never tried hemp. Can you share some research on soy? I have heard that it is not good for you.

    Good video, thank you. That little bit of palm oil adds some saturated fat too, if I’m not mistaken, in the more conventional, even natural peanut butters. That said, I love the JIF Natural. 😂

      Thanks! So there are natural peanut butters that use palm oil and sugar to make the consistency similar to regular peanut butter and then their are natural peanut butters just made with peanuts or peanuts and salt. Glad you found one you love!

    Great info. Spelling errors were distracting...there are no 'F's (...much less 2) in phosphorus.

    The issue with milk is many ppl are intolerant more than you think, causes acne, bloat, my daughter even suffered from eczema and once we cut it never had it again. We do so has it has many minerals/vitamins.

    The question are they complete protine ? While many plant-based foods are not complete proteins individually, combining different plant protein sources throughout the day can provide all essential amino acids. This makes it possible for vegetarians and vegans to meet their protein needs without consuming animal products.

    did you mention calories and DIAAS affecting absorbability? protein on paper in grams is not what is digested, only soy is equal to animal proteins. the DIAAS means you need to eat more to get equal to animal proteins, increasing calories substantially.

    Very helpful information from a Registered Dietitian, not just ‘nutrition experts’ who have some training….but someone needs to do a ‘spell check’ on the ‘fosforus’ and ‘benifit’ typos on the screen!

    Wow, do some research! Maybe start with the TH-cam video "Dairy is Scary." We all should take on the responsibility to protect the planet and animals. And in the process we can all get much more healthy. "Dairy is Scary.

    Eggs and meat are wayyy better sources of bioavailable protein that your body actually absorbs. Surely as a nutritionist you should know this. Grains and seeds are terrible sources of protein - to reach your daily intake you would have to consume unhealthy amounts of these foods.

    • @HealthlineMedia
      @HealthlineMedia  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're right - eggs and meat are great sources of protein. We wanted to highlight some lesser known and surprising sources in this video that people may not think of as often.

      Completely disagree over here living on a plant based diet and blood work is fine! You can hav whole chicken periods and all the extra garbage you get with eating animals…maybe do a little more research.

      Eggs and meat are more bio available, but they also increase your risk of heart disease. It’s good to have both in the diet, but more towards plants.

    It's not that soy is bad for you, it's if the soybeans are NON-GMO or not. That is what's bad for you.
