    Where do you live? This mountains are beautiful! Also do you have the awning mounted to both racks??
    Also curious about the windshield, I have the same rack and light bar and I heard the rack needs to come off to replace the windshield you know if that’s true?

    • @freedomroamers
      @freedomroamers  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m in northern Utah. And they are definitely stunning! Check out my previous video, there is some stunning drone shots!
      The awning is mounted to the rack on the shell only, using the three supplied brackets.
      I haven’t ever heard that, and couldn’t imagine why it would interfere with getting a new windshield. Going to get it replaced here soon and will keep you posted!

    I wouldn't take any new 4x4 off-road without sliders after damaging my truck on it's first trip some years ago.

    • @freedomroamers
      @freedomroamers  ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely something to be aware of when coming down or going up ledges. Sliders are definitely at the top of my list, but I’ve wheeled my entire life with out them and so far, so good.

    I found cheaper rocksliders for my Tacoma and I love the look of them. They were $600 ish. They’re called BODY ARMOR REVO ROCK SLIDERS from running board warehouse. They look amazing and are great quality

    Really like your build the Tacoma looks great. Did you have to do a cab mount chop or cab mount relocation kit install to clear the 35’s? Also do you know if you can run larger springs on the Teraflex Tacoma lift kit in the front to get 3” or more? Saw your video because I want to get those exact black fuel rebel 6 wheels with 35’s as well but with Nitto Trail Grapplers.

    • @freedomroamers
      @freedomroamers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Daniel, yes you will have to do a minimum of a cab mount chop on all Tacoma’s to fit large tires. How much will depend on lift size compared to tire size. I did it myself for now as I wanted to fit my new tires before winter.
      I’m going to get a local shop to do a cab mount relocate probably in the spring. I’ve been pretty impressed with the fuel rims as you can see I have used and abused them quite a bit and they are holding up fantastically! Heard good things about the Nitto’s but I love my Yokohama’s!
      I’m not sure about the springs but don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to. If you call Teraflex the have awesome customer service and I’m sure could tell you!

      @@freedomroamers Thank you for your reply I appreciate it. I want to have a cab mount relocation kit installed, just haven’t found a shop that is willing to do it for me yet, the ones I have asked have told me no. I would do the work myself but I don’t know how to weld. Did you have to re gear as well to run 35’s?

    Curious, but how tall are you and your wife? Any issues with legroom for your kids or are they just snug/still comfortable? I have 2 kids as well and still fighting the idea of getting rid of my Taco for a Tundra.

    • @freedomroamers
      @freedomroamers  ปีที่แล้ว

      The kids are more than comfortable but if we take the truck anywhere I usually drive as the passenger seat is just a tad to tight for me. Once we have normal car seats, or none at all, it will be plenty of space!
      I had a tundra before this and while the extra room was fantastic, it was way to big to wheel the way that I like to

    • @freedomroamers
      @freedomroamers  ปีที่แล้ว

      @MIGHTY D-MAX normal daily driving there is no rubbing but I did do ALLOT of trimming. You can see it in the video. It’s rubs at about 95% compression but that’s because I haven’t switched out the bump stops.
      If you don’t want to do all the trimming to the fender that I did. I would go with a 3” lift minimum
