All these beautiful builds reflects the owner’s personality in a lot of ways. What stands out to me the most is their individual 100% inspired advice. Another awesome video!
That white Tacoma on portals is sooo badass, and those sliders look super clean and sleak design. Same with the roof rack, sits very tight to the roof and a nice design, Westcott and 74 weld killed it👌🤙
Love how people shit on the new factory turbo4 which was engineered as a turbo engine, but totally fine running a supercharger on an engine not designed for forced induction. 🤣
It was originally designed for the supercharger in the 2nd gen. Only reason it didn't come with it from factory. Was to keep it's price competitive with the Honda Ridgeline being released at the time. Or so they said 😅
I like the last one because it’s an Access Cab like mine, I am planning to armor up with Victory 4x4 aluminum skids & bumpers. For sliders probably going with Cali Raised since they are usually a good price.
Great commentary Mateo, and asking important questions about larger tires, regearing and "is the snorkel needed?" are all great to hear. Awesome trucks all around, keep up the epic videos guys!
I have a 2018 Tacoma Sport with a nice package. Leather, technology package, sunroof and a few other niceties. It's a very nice truck. I put a lift on it (just a basic block and spacers one, not the springs and shocks), put some 33' KO2s on it with Gear rims. It's black with black rims and it's a very good looking truck. It's not unusual for me to get comments on it from people in lots or even occasionally waiting at red lights. Frankly, I love it. After watching this video, I went outside to the driveway and looked at it and am now VERY depressed. LOL. These things are amazing. Great video and thanks for sharing these with us.
8,000lb Tacoma? Where did he grab that number? Please tell us where the additional 3500lbs comes into play?? Something is drastically wrong if you’re slapping on that much weight.
Depending on the exact front/rear bumpe, winch and skid plates that can definitely be anywhere from 800-1000 alone. Not including tents, wheels, heavier and beefed control arms, cvs, frame support modifications, compressors, and the list goes on and on.
@@ktm250xcwno I agree that this is absolutely over kill unless you are going out for weeks on end. The guys on the channel “the story till now” go on some crazy adventures with next to nothing in comparison.
You Da Man! thanks for all the adventures and info to all areas of the Tacomas. Having said that I'm going to ask you questions that you probably get everyday. I have a 2016 TRD Offroad. I want to run 35 x12.50 R17. What do I need to do to fit them in. I have a 2.5 " lift with blocks in the rear. I would like to focus on the front first. I have a cab mount mod, and some trimming with the fenders. I can fit 285s and they fit fine with no rubbing. But I want a nice stance with 35s, and I will being planning 529 gear ratios. So I want to know what the offsets will work neg or pos.?? I'm sure you will have questions for me and I hope I can convey , so you could possibly help me. I love mud terrains ! Thank you Mateo!
If you’ve already done a body chop on the fenders you should be able to fit it with little to no rubbing. As far as offset for a nicer wider stance I’d suggest going for a -12, it’ll give you a wider meaner stance. 🤙
Thanks so much for the info! I gotta ask ,who can I contact for a regrearing swap out , want to set up 5.29s. I would like to have a complete swap out , I can remove and install the front and rear diffs. Thank you and your staff! Some day I will vacation to your territory and visit you all! thank you LOUIE
8000lb Tacoma lol how far over the GVWR are ya? Sick builds man.. love all 5 of them. Sold my taco a few years ago for a diesel.. seeing these trucks makes me miss my taco 😢
I got a 4th Gen Tacoma TRD sport (dark grey) on King 2.5, 34" BFG KO2, Methods, Magnaflow Cat back (waiting on the CAI to pair), Pedal Commander, JBL amp booster, fully tinted.. Loving it. I've stayed away from racks on it but want to get the DK long travel but wont be released until next year. Possibly an upgraded turbo in the future once more weight is added.
38's on a stock Tacoma? Except the mega elephant in the room and those portals! That's what, another 20K on top of the already overpriced 4th gen, smh.
Sick taco menu! Nothing against Heimana (much ALOHA BRADAH) but not sure how his made it to #1 compared to all the runner ups lol. If anything Krave or that 2nd gen custom fab takes the number 1 spot
All it takes is money to get a truck like that. 11mpg? Dang, I got 15mpg with my 2010 Tundra, double cab 4WD with the 5.7 liter V8 and 10mpg during off road trips
that dude with the 4th gen on portals is fucking HIGH. "38's on basically a stock truck". No shit. If I threw 20k in portals on my truck It better fit 38's without cutting much. Stock truck.... lmfao.
NO HATE…..honestly asking…seems to be a lot of disappointment, recalls and issues with the ‘24….to say nothing about the price…if you’re a person who could afford the new…yet gonna be in the ..no matter what you are taking out a loan new or used…so “afford “ is debatable…would you buy a Pre-Covid Gen…like 2020 or older..or the ‘24?
Where do these Millenials get their money? Mom and dad? Free houses and college from them now things are easy? What’s up seriously? Most this age don’t live a 200k year lifestyle. Also, you can tell who really wheels by the scrapping on the sliders😂😂
The engine is is fine. In fact it was built to be able to handle the pressures of a forced air. That’s why Toyota themselves made one for that truck. The only reason why Toyota came out with the four-cylinder piece of shit it has now that has a turbo and is specifically built for that turbo, as you would say is because they’re trying to keep up with the missions the new truck sucks. It looks like crap it can’t tow or the damn and again it’s just a four banger. It’s basically a car with the body of a truck V6 or V8 is a truck.
Toyota is dead last in sales in the full-size segment with Nissan bowing out. The midsize segment will be next if Toyota can’t fix the Tacoma … horrid exterior design, anemic power, & questionable value proposition. The Chevy Colorado ZR2 & Ford Raptor Ranger are superior trucks … let’s stop being delusional or biased.
bro last one is so fire

Clears 38s with stock suspension - AND PORTALS... Gotta love those "stock" portals.
That third one is just beautiful

This is a very good point

The 3.5L has established reliability but yeah. The new turbo4 is a question mark.

Long time Krave customer, those guys and gal are awesome.
That white Tacoma was a 🔥 build
that tacoma #2 fire I love that simple look
Excellent video. Some crazy rigs out there!
love definitely the first truck is definitely the best build.
Another great video! Good share my friend

Slap the portals on the second truck. And let's go!

I should have stated that’s fully loaded with people and gear. I’ve had it on the scale at 7973 lbs. not always that heavy but it can be.
its going to be "breath of fresh air" when you have to bring your 4th gen tacoma into the dealership cause you cant DIY fix it. sick builds.
And they deny the warranty claim because of all the shit bolted on to it.
very cool Mateo !!!!!
Bills Tacoma is the best Tacoma ever
Plan on getting a 4th gen and putting 33

My plan it to Diesel swap and SAS w/portals (install larger axles) my Dad’s 2017 SR 4x2 DCSB 4-cylinder when he stops driving in a few years.
just get a 4x4
Sick Tacomas.
I’d love to have portals on my GX.
Superb 🥰😍😘
Are these mods paid for 😂 Brolander for days Tacomabeast 😂😂😂
Not the brolander 😂
Looks great…but I have little confidence that the CV axles would last long wheeling on 38s.
You’d be surprised
Tacoma #1 where did he get the front bumper done?

How do I go to these events?? I never see post about them.
Overland expo is pretty big, they’ve got a couple around the US you can look into 🤙
I wish I had that kind of money
Lol that first truck is ridiculous especially since he mostly just does basic trails in Southern Alberta that a stock Tacoma could easily do.

wow
Tacoma #3 - 12:07
iLikeit..
It would be better if there is a six-foot bed
9 mpg out of a v6 truck XD
Why are featuring a NON-OVERLAND Tacoma ( orange Tacoma) in OEW. IMO, this Tacoma doesn't belong here. It is not classified an overland vehicle.
Because it’s cool? 😅

With new cars the first couple of years are always when they fix any issues so I’d suggest probably waiting until that’s done or getting a 2020
