Mazatrol Programming Lathe ID Grooving Mazak. In this video I am programming an ID groove. If you have a T-1, T-2, or T-3 control, be sure to watch out for the ID minimum issue on the first line of the program. If you leave the ID minimum at X0, the machine will crash when ID grooving. Please watch the entire video to understand the issue and how it can crash the machine.

Thanks. Make the parameter smaller to reduce the distance the tool retracts.

If their is a radius inside the groove how to program because today Iam making a program of groove I have some problem the radius is form but their is a step in groove

The radius goes into the area marked F-CNR.

Why do the drilling as a manual program instead of using DRL?

On my old T2 controller, I cannot describe the tool as both a boring bar and a drill. I want to use the insert drill as a boring bar sometimes.
