The 768-foot ship John G. Munson departed under the Aerial Lift Bridge onto Lake Superior in Duluth, MN. Do we have a new ship record holder for number of horn blasts?
The captain of the ship blasted a total of 17 separate horn salutes while departing. If you factor in the Aerial Lift Bridge, that's a total of 20 horn blasts in one ship departure! The crowd was shocked in a good way along the piers watching and listening to this happen. I don't think I will ever have that many horn blasts in a ship video again! Wow!
