♥️ seeing the various cam views, almost better than being there! ❤️ seeing so many people including greeting the ships as part of their holiday festivities, best crowd on camera in a while. Noticed the Master Salute was well timed to coincide with the ship’s entire passage under the bridge, a neat trick 🤗
JRB is a common abbreviation for James R Barker. If you are unfamiliar with it, please ask and people will be happy to answer. Otherwise, don't be rude.
She's awesome but she's not as good looking as the Fitz was as those older freighters looked better imo but she's a laker and I still love all the lakers and appreciate the work their of the crews and the freight they move to keep America going.
@@michaelsmodelrailroading7665 Her lines are more of a steerable turd....she has nothing like the grace of the Arthur Anderson, Carl Bradley, Daniel Morrell, Edmund Fitzgerald. To each their own, I guess.
The James R. Barker, has arrived 🙌 Loud and Clear. The Master's Salute was very Loud and Clear but it was a beautiful Salute 😍.
What a fabulous salute. I was glad to see all the people greeting the Barker.
Thank you
On the Great Lakes, there's nothing like that Barker Bark. Welcome back to Duluth!

Always a treat to hear those horns, the soul of the ship.
Beautiful love to hear the salute.
That was a beautiful salute!
The Bark is rocking today !!
love the James R Barker! she's in fine voice, today!
I have been to Duluth, and it is fun to watch these big ships come in.
Ahhh music to my ears 👂 😌 😍
We were staying at South Pier when the Barker arrived and that was the most awesome salute I have ever heard!
Peaceful and quiet port entry. We’re used to seeing much bigger waves and their multidirectional splashing effects. 👍
Happy Holidays to all🎄🇨🇦
Awesome salute!
❤️ the Bark!!
Best horns on the lake!
Barker is my favorite
thats where i wanna be, on JRB

🦅🇺🇸🦅 Marvelous job 👏 👌, Brings back memories from my shipping experience with the SIU , 🚢 ⚓ 🛳 🔱
Very cool indeed!
There goes my first born. Always special.
Whats on board?
That's beautiful!
The bridge person sounds happy and annoyed
That's one hell of a long ship!
The sign at 1:30. Is that "Solglimt" name from a Norwegian heritage?? Anybody knows?
Military ships all seem to be named after states/places... are all of these types of ships named after people?
Wonderful! You can't mistake that horn for any other ship, can you?
That's a big honker!
Cool.

Not being too familiar with diesel ships but, what is the steam from? It adds a good effect.
Is that bridge that lifts up for walking or for cars?
I’ve always wondered the same thing!
Walking. I walked across it last time I was up there.
@@scottyjohnson3120 Thanks!

Wow I can’t believe all the people here to watch it.
This ship makes the Edmond Fitzgerald small.
Big Jim🚢!! Bound for DMIR? Or to pick ⛏️ up coal from Superior to St. Clair, MI.
It will always be the DMIR no fake interlopers

Looks like an edmund
not even a little...
Looks more like an "Ugly". These vessels are more like barges with their superstructure at the stern. No lines to speak of.
@@davidborzi6259 The only lines that really count on sea-going vessels are their bottom lines. The BARKER undoubtedly has a very handsome one.
