Regarding the blackouts: From a storytelling perspective I can understand it feeling unsatisfying and a bit clunky, but I appreciate it because it keeps you firmly in Marc and Steven’s POV as someone with DID. You want just as badly as them to have those bits of time, and just like them you feel robbed of them.

yes but the issue with that is that all the alters of a DID patient are part of the person and one can't be without the other. every personality is manifested for a specific reason, to protect the person from a specific circumstance. So by leaving out jake, 1/3 of Mark's self was incomplete. Also, it bugged me that "losing" Steven was what balanced the scales because, again, he is also a part of Mark's complete self and all 3 personalities are needed to make Mark whole, even though they may be split. The fact that Steven and Mark had separate hearts when it came to weighing them makes sense because they are seen as two different people, which is also the case in DID. However, they are still a part of each other, so eliminating one to elevate the other makes no sense. Mark, Steven and Jake are like three wheels if a tricycle. @@userious258 yeah there are cases when a person might not be aware of an alter or might be completely in the dark about having DID. My point was not about "being judged for something the alter did." My point was that each alter holds a key to unlock a certain aspect of you life, about which only they are aware unless the personalities have a system in place to let each other know what goes down. Mark, Steven and Jake are three pieces that form a whole puzzle. So leaving out Jake from the heart balancing activity didn't make sense because they would have had to come to terms with his side of the story/past as well just like Steven and Mark did with each other. Also "losing" steven or "getting rid" of him is not the psychological way to go in order to make Mark whole (to go to the field of reeds, again idk much about Egyptian Mythos). It would infact do the complete opposite and erase a very real part of him. Just coming to terms with why Steven was manifested, why he was needed, what was his life like, how he helped Mark wasn't enough. That is required for healing but that dsnt mean Steven has to go away for Mark to move forward. He still very much needs to be there and all 3 of them need to coexist.

Watching this now and hearing the argument again that they could have used an app to find the night sky when Ammit was imprisoned, I decided to have a go at it. Using June 10, 323 BC (death of Alexander the Great) as a bookmark for the furthest relevant date possible (arguably, we could use AD 200, when his tomb disappears from history), I did the spinny sky thing on Star Walk 2, and it took me 6 minutes, from download to fine-tuning the result. Maybe we've been too harsh on the ol' pigeonhead?
I always assumed that Khonshu didn’t have an exact date, he only remembered what the sky looked like that night. Also, they had to line up the map with the stars in the sky. I’m not sure if that could be done with a phone app (but I could be wrong).
Death is pretty permanent in the MCU. The only deaths to happen Loki in Infinity War, Frega Loki Hela and Thor's mom, Odin, Hela, Black Widow, Tony Stark, and a ton of villains. Loki hasn't died that many times in Thor one people assumed that he did, Thor two they show you he's not, and he officially died in Infinity War.
Okay, out of all the reaction people and all the comments saying, "Isn't there an app for that night sky thing?" I have yet to see ANYONE actually say what the name of that app is, let alone provide a link, so somebody can test it out and see. None. So maybe there is one that COULD map it out that far back but it DOESN'T because the app is designed for people to see, say, what the night sky looked like the day they were born, etc., not some random date 10,000 years ago.
There really not for some reason people think going into the finale that they have much to wrap up. The only things you had to wrap up was bring Marc and Steven back to life, free Khonshu, and stop Harrow. Loki only thing who controlled everything very simple.
They were on the run, with probably limited resources in the middle of a desert... and you are talking about an app, get wrecked jaby. The scene was pretty cool though 😤😄

About the "convenient" part, I believe what Tawaret meant by "it's not that easy" was about "saving" Steven or Marc's thought of going back into the living world rather than finding Steven in the duat.
Ok so just to play devils advocate here....perhaps using a phone app in the middle of the desert is going to be JUST a tiny bit difficult based on, likely, you know, zero signal for the phone?! Just a thought...
Man!! Looks like you guys were not really paying attention when you watched Moon Knight. When Konshou accused Harrow, he didn't accuse him of being an avatar for Ammit. It was known to all the other avatars that he was an avatar for Ammit, that's why he could enter the judgement hall. He was accused of trying to find Ammit's tomb in order to release her from binding. His tattoo wouldn't have proved anything that others didn't already know and Konshou had no proof, only his words. But his obsession with Ammit made other Avatars reluctant to believe him.
No Jaby you are wrong You can't get what night looked like thousand years ago Bcz so many stars & planets are destroyed back then that an app can't create
I don't know why people don't understand that the field of reeds was a "manifestation" of Marc. Taweret SAYS IT CLEARLY when they are there. Marc manifests to see Steven that's why he "goes" there instantly. Just like he was at peace when Steven was gone and the second the hearts balanced he manifested the field of reeds where he was INSTANTLY.
I disagree with the cuts before the action. I personally thought it was really clever. Sure I would hope in the future he's aware enough with all of himselves that it doesn't happen as much, or at all. But for this intro series that was one of my favorite details.
The breaking the statue to release the God was a little too easy , what if there was an earthquake all the statues could fall since they weren't secured and release all the banished Gods.
There's no way we'll ever see Jake pulling his badassery on screen unless the execs decide it's okay to put the series behind the Mature rating that presently is reserved for all the Defenders series first seen on Netflix. And since this is about expanding the MCU inclusivity, especially with Layla's new superhero being actual Egyptian, Disney won't ever do that.
@@userious258 I don't need it. Jaby's saying he wanted to see Jake actually doing things, and I'm explaining one very understandable reason why we won't. Ob-Wan Kenobi on the same network can get away with being a little more violent because light sabers and other energy beam things (like the gate this week's episode) don't produce blood. In Moon Knight, even that early scene in the Alps had Steven waking up to dead bodies around him and his hand covered in blood. Disney+ can't show what lead to that.
@@kjaime7030 No Obi Wan got away with it because how lightsabers work and these energy beams they cauterize any wound so you won't bleed out. Your forgetting that they show the people on the ground with blood on them and a ton on the ground. They can''t show the blood pouring out while a little bit alive. Pretty much they got away with a lot of stuff.
The next point is your "app" argument... are you serious? how would the god know human calculations of date and time to let Steven and Layla know what day and time it was? even the Gregorian calendar we are using is off and not accurate. Khonshu remembered exactly how the sky was on that day so turning back the night sky was the BEST option they had.
Honestly, I think it was kind of nice to not have much action and just focus on the character for once in the MCU. Marc and Steven's journey was the most important part - we didn't need Jake at hat point...nor did we need a ton of action.
So the implication is that khonshu is "the god of night/moon" so his replication of the stars and the night sky is way more reliable than any human made iphone app. Not being a mcu die hard, but it just made sense and i see no debate.
He watch over the travelers that's out traveling during the night, unlikely that he had time to memorize the sky. You're kinda being an MCU die hard since you're using the "because marvel said so"-argument.
he is only strong at full moon and then he is only as strong as luke cage at 3 tons, so 3/ less than spiderman....also the insane part when too far, if it was a 22 episode season, then fine, those episodes would been nice fillers, but not in such a short show
I didn’t really like this show. So many plot holes and wasted emotional scenes without proper pay-off… And the cut out action scenes became annoying after realising they were never going to flash back to them by the end. It was beautifully shot and acted, but the rest didn’t make much sense… Meh 🙄
@@userious258 Why wasn’t Jake part of the balancing scales? Why did Harrow have powers before releasing Ammit? Why did Harrow not get a cool costume when he became her avatar? How did Layla stumble upon Steven in London? Why was Khonshu as big as Ammit in the final scene when he didn’t suck in souls like she did? Why did the other gods act so dumbfounded when Harrow broke into their pad and instantly killed them, after they were warned previously? Etc….. And as for the time jumps, I get that they were trying to give the audience a Steven-side perspective, but cutting out how he got the compass, how he survived the pile of logs falling onto him in the Alps, how he survived Harrow having the upper hand in the final fight, and others, just ended up feeling more like lazy story writing from a group who had written themselves into a corner and just had to magic the characters way out of a sticky situation. It wasn’t great… Just my opinion though, still enjoyed it, but not nearly as much as other marvel shows.
@@TomsTube With DID in real life you can have a personality you don't know of so in the show Tarawet didn't take Jake's heart so she wouldn't judge them base off of someone else's actions they're uncognizant of. He didn't have powers before releasing Ammit she imbued some in the staff. I don't know why he didn't have a costume but I don't think that's a plot holes or of major importance. Layla said in the show to who I think is her aunt that her and Marc had a place close to the one Steven has plus she's smart she could've tracked the phone. I don't know how he got that big but again we haven't seen much or know much about Egyptian Gods yet. They weren't shocked he broke in but they didn't know who was breaking in at first.Marc obviously stole the compass from Harrow's men and jumped out the window and switched into Steven and feel down to the ground and broke his jaw. You forget he has a self healing suit. Jake could simply be more skilled than the other in using their powers or his suit is better so when he switched he easily dispatched Harrow. I answered all your questions you just didn't pay attention to the show or had selective hearing. You also don't know what context clues are finally you forget this is the beginning for so many characters so we obviously would get more information down the line.

We need demon slayer reaction 🙏

Watch vikram movie it's lit 🔥
So the implication is that khonshu is "the god of night/moon" so his replication of the stars and the night sky is way more reliable than any human made iphone app.
Not being a mcu die hard, but it just made sense and i see no debate.
He watch over the travelers that's out traveling during the night, unlikely that he had time to memorize the sky.
You're kinda being an MCU die hard since you're using the "because marvel said so"-argument.
@@volundrfrey896 never said i heard marvel said this.. khonshu's a GOD.. ion think he got problems remembering/memorizing stuff.. "i see no debate"

Jaby now waiting for marvel to slide into his dms
🤣🤣🤣
Jabys laugh is very infecious
he is only strong at full moon and then he is only as strong as luke cage at 3 tons, so 3/ less than spiderman....also the insane part when too far, if it was a 22 episode season, then fine, those episodes would been nice fillers, but not in such a short show
In the meeting Harrow triggered Marc so he wasn't able to make any valid points
I didn’t really like this show. So many plot holes and wasted emotional scenes without proper pay-off… And the cut out action scenes became annoying after realising they were never going to flash back to them by the end. It was beautifully shot and acted, but the rest didn’t make much sense… Meh 🙄
Plot holes?
@@alvinanil6996 means an inconsistency in the narrative or character development of a book, film, television programme, etc. 👍🏻
What plot holes and the black outs was for you to feel what it's like to have DID
@@userious258 Why wasn’t Jake part of the balancing scales?
Where is Dark s02 reaction???? Finish what you've started.
I didn't think he was going to say "angry" when introducing Ammit. Yep. I thought he was going to "She's a veeeeery sexy crocodile."
Ryan's joke reference to Oscar Isaac's previous star wars role goes unappreciated once again.
It's almost as if, despite the memes, every youtuber has successfully deleted Rise of Skywalker from their brain.

Well.. He immediately went to field of reeds after Steven turned into statue... So obviously he can come back immediately from field of reeds.. 🤷🤷
Not tryna be mean, but sometimes Jaby picks at the smallest things when watching a series, and sometimes it gets annoying. Like sometimes I feel like I can't enjoy his and Acharya's reaction quite as often now, again not tryna be rude.
I loved the characters of marc and steven but the plot has pacing issues throughout and never have i seen a show where the finale was the worst episode of the entire season.
