- Bad news from my nephew YoChrisEm, his car isn't starting. His TL was featured in a previous video, from which we saved his Acura TL from being junked. He had a starting issue that he told me about. His car is definitely needed as a reliable A to B car so he can go to school and work, along with sharing the car with his dad. in this video, I take you along for the journey to see what happens...

I have a 2001 Acura TL no start and my starter fuse it’s blown nor is it getting power to it , do you know what could be the problem

The hands free Bluetooth is a common problem for the car not being able to start. My TL would die if I didn’t drive it for a few days, I removed the hands free piece and it solved it. Just a possibility

I have same issue but he put new starter all AC radio all of them is work but still click noise
If have an older Acura integra/Honda and it does a mysterious crank but no start from time to time,have no worries,you aren't stranded, just google main relay location and find it under the dashboard and tap it while cranking and the car should start
My issue was the battery. Even tho it wasnt dead dead it wasnt enough power to turn my TL on. Got a new one and turned on right away
Good stuff. I'd count that as a win. Batteries are easy to replace
Y’all kno if was the starter before making this cause you can diagnose if it’s the start with a dead batter, so for someone with a lil understanding about cars this video kina not really teach me nothing, but it’s always good to see problems being solve with cars non the less 👏🏾

What could be the issue?
My 2011 tl I turn the switch to crank it and it does nothing,I would think it's the starter but there's no clicking sound when I turn the switch.. any advice what to do ?? Plz

After u put the starter in and it starts wat might cause it couple days after u have to jump it again and again
Did you figure why it was doing that I replaced my start and ignition switch and i still have to jump it sometimes
I had a brand new starter replaced also a brand new battery. Now it won’t start it’s so frustrating help!

Mine is a 08 type s and I replaced my alternator, battery is new and starter just put on today. I’m not getting a clicking noise but I’m getting some sparks near the positive side of my starter. I checked it I have any peeled or bad wires and everything looks clean. So I’m clueless at this point 😑

@@DriqBlaq yes! Turned out I had a bad starter to begin with. But got it running after buying another new starter. Then found out I had some knocking noise and had to replace motor and trans 😑😂
My 06 acura tl wouldn't start. I was finally able to get it started. I disconnected the battery and hooked it back up. After I got the battery hooked up there's no clicking, it's an automatic. There's no clicking, and when I moved the battery terminal from negative to positive it made a clicking noise and when I put my key in the ignition the car turned over. I'm at a loss as to what the problem could be. Tomorrow I plan on taking it to a shop to see if they can fix it. I love my acura tl and while it has 200,000 plus miles it still runs like a dream. Any info would be great appreciated
My Acura ilx wouldn’t start and I was at a light and it has over 200k miles as long as well did you ever find out what was wrong
How long did it take to change the starter
Maybe a couple of hours. Not too difficult at all. And I'm not a certified mechanic lol
They man I have a question I have a 2006 acura and one day I was driving and I came to a stop than I started driving again and out of no where the car stops going it’s still on I press the gas it won’t go so I push it to the side I turn it off and I tried to turn it back on but it didn’t turn on anymore now it’s sitting in my drive way it only cracks but it doesn’t start
You can do the usual, basis troubleshooting without spending money. Check battery terminal connections, battery itself, check fuses, etc. etc. Then you can start doing more research based on your findings
Hey I know it’s been a while since this happened and it may be a long shot. The same thing happened to me a few days ago, did you ever solve the problem ?

It's been awhile, so I can't recall exactly which one we got. But we did buy from Advance Auto, most likely a remanufactured OEM one.
Good job my Acura 2009 don't know got me crazy put new batteries new stared new alternator buy it rum perfect like 6 months know car no want to stared checked batteries stared alternator it still good don't know what can be it check fuses it good what you thing need to check see can be the problem thank you

someone help please i don’t know much about cars my Acura is my first car I was on my way home from work. MIND YOU WORK IS 20 MINUTES AWAY FORM ME. I was about 5 mins away from home and while i was turning a corner my wheel gets stiff and my car gas gets stiff as well. i turned my car off then tried turning it back on and it never started back up. what can it be? i been doing my own investigation looking at videos and i’m thinking maybe alternator/starter? someone let me know if those can be possibilities! 2004 ACURA TL

I had a similar problem with my 01 TL last year, w/ only 78K miles. Intermittently the car would not start, strange symptoms such as all lights will work, but will not crank, not even a click. Sometimes the gear wouldn't shift to Neutral either. I changed the brake light switch under the dash, a new starter, but still had intermittent start. Finally decided to look into the neutral safety switch on the underside of the transmission. Didn't want to spend 300 from the dealer, so just tried one from a junk yard. The neutral switch was the problem, no issues since I replaced it. Before replacing it, I would suggest just take it out and look at the gear inside the switch. There is a notch inside it and mine was worn enough that it was causing this intermittent issue. If it's fully worn, you could get stranded. If they are still using the same switch on Acura's/Honda's , this issue could show up for the later years.
