Edit: i need to find a TL crew here in duval county lol Anyone know where to get a black flooring replacement for an 06 Acura TL base? I just replaced my front and rear door panels with black ones but I cannot find a new black replacement carpet for these things. I can find a $2,000 dollar brand new dash but not any black carpet replacements.

I drive an automatic, 2006 Acura TL 3.2 and it has over 175k. Ive replaced the timing belt with water pump and pullies. Ive upgraded the alternator 240amp, power steering pump, all of my motor mounts and trans mounts. Ive also swappes my 3rd and 4th gear pressure switch and changed my fluids. I even went as far as to upgrade to the 07 acura tl type s spendle knuckle, new rotors and brembo brake calipers and upgraded to stainless steel brake lines. Since doing all these upgrades my vehicle feels like a brand new car. I have upgraded the sound system (i got an aftermarket factory amp that replaced the actual factory amp) upgraded the two tweeters, 4x 6.5's and the 8in free air sub. Then installed an amp in the trunk with a second battery for two 12's. I only wish I had gotten a manual but I love my TL and if i ever decide to do an engine swap then im sure ill swap the auto for a manual. But right now my car rides super smooth and i get plenty of compliments. The dash will be the next project though... Filling the cracks, smoothing it down and then wrapping it.

It's crazy people choose to go with the jewel eyes, stock projector can be modified with lenses and good bulbs and will have a better output than the jewel eyes, cheaper too.

Yo I have this same issue where the car is stagnant/ doesn’t roll back on neutral, I just chNged my rear brake pads. Gonna try what you’ve done as well

That oil filter housing leak is notorious, if it still leaking it probs the rear main seal, bet it’s more manageable now tho

Edit: was your TL always manual? Your shifter box looks different than my 6mt. Anyways awesome build. Loving that even after a decade people are still modifying their 3rd gen TL's. Do you plan on supercharging your TL? I wish comptech still made that supercharger for the J32A3 I swear I should open a shop for fixing Acura TL's dashboards. Ive wrapped mine in a two tone alcantara. The only pain was grinding down the cracked areas after filling them. But having taking out my 06 dashboard multiple times I feel like a pro lol. I wish Acura had put more money in a better material dashboard.

I can't figure out from your instructions if the tapered washer goes on before sliding on the dust boot? Or is it after sliding in the boot and the 2 washers are touching?

i just replaced that same line. i went to the junkyard and got a new one i recommend dropping the front right subframe bolt to get more wiggle room

I’m looking to buy a 2008 TL and I’ve looked at two already and they both were slow to start when turning it on. Is that just a TL thing or possibly something wrong?

I gotta 2006 TL with 120k on it. I’ve always wanted to start working on it but never got the knowledge or time to do so, you’ve motivated me to start looking into it. Should I scrap the one I have now and find a new one or do you think it’s worth keeping? Has 2 noticeable dents I’d have to work out eventually lol
