This song is pure Country Music Gold. A classic that will be played 50 years from now.
Certainly is, have you heard the original from Moore & Napier?? Damn good song, and the way Sturgill remakes these classics seems to always beats the shit out of the original each and every time...and Ill stand by statement
He has alot of heart. Love it.
In 50nyears that song will be almost 100 years old!
How could anybody listen to pop country when this exist?
Because it possible to enjoy two different genres of music....
::shocked Pikachu::
@@blacksludgetoxapex5035 Yeah I enjoy many, that isn't my point. It's just a way lower quality of mass produced cookie cutter garbage music.
Amen, Brother Not The Soap.
Well, Shania twain is pretty good. But that probably isn't what you're talking about. . .
How could 81 million people vote for Joe Biden?
I hope Sturgill will find it in himself to hit us with another record in this genre. Damn good stuff.
One of the few REAL country music makers out there
holy crap..... its waylon all over again.... damn this is REAL country music....
just thought the same
IMO there’s a hint of Merle in there too.
Easily one of the best truck driving songs ever, arguably the best.
You heard Fourteen Gears by Midland?
Or is it about cocaine
@@znmcg ultimate plot twist
Run a lot of miles to this song
@@Alien3681 one of my favorites on the road
This is how COUNTRY should sound....period.
Sturgill really is the new face of country music
Waylon and Merle wrapped into one. Perfection...
I dont even drive a dam Truck but I wish I had one after listening to Long White Line. Keep it coming Sturgill!
Whoa! Waylon, is that you? Now, THIS is country music ♪♫♪♪
Why can't all country that is currently playing sound this good. Sturgill rules.
This dude has the subtle power behind his voice like George Jones and that voice mixed with the Merle Haggard like style on this song is nothing short of spectacular
Sounds more like early George Jones and plays like Jerry Reed.
@@JohnSmith-gk8ts got a little waylon too
Yes Sir
Little touch of Jon Anderson
like Waylon...to the 10th power. I love it
It don't get any better than this!
The best true country singers come from Kentucky. East Kentucky to be exact, proud to be a hillbilly.
My boys are 16 & 17 and turned me on to this! There is still kids that love the real deals not overdone radio crap! Praise The Lord!
Oh hell yes! Save Country Music from Itself Sturgill and Little Joe!! New favorite song.
country music savior!!!!!!! GOODBYE BRO COUNTRY!!!!!
6 years ago I heard sturgill for the first time in this video and it’s changed my life ever since
Dave Letterman brought me here, I am now obsessed with this song, what a great singer and vocalist. Also, I have wanderlust for New Mexico!
great place to wander around, just be careful in Albuquerque I feel like bugs bunny from all the wrong turns I made there.
We spent a couple of days in Southern New Mexico last October. I love the state and I haven't even seen the northern part which is supposed to be even nicer. Las Cruces is a wonderful little city. Be sure to eat at La Posta, an awesome Mexican Restaurant.
Absolutely amazing. The whole band is on point and the sound is remarkable. Thank you.
THIS IS IT IN 2020...THEY ROCK!..
He’s such an amazing talent. Which of his songs is your favorite
A++++++ recording!!!🔥💯
I love this guy he has a old school sound
Real Country Music....
Country outlaw I love your voice love your sound
He’s awesome
Which of his songs is your favorite
His reaction at the end though... "Meh", he knows what they just played was beyond awesome. Especially his lead guitar player.. just badass.. Real country music at its finest.. through and through.
Him and the boys still working on the sound.
These acoustic mic/pickup sound amazing
The guitar solo in this version is 🔥
this is the stuff trashville doesn't want you to see
agreed
+The Troubled Two Nashville sucks now
Don't blame Nashville for the shitty taste of the general public
@JasonIsbell
Hate to break it to y'all, but Nashville didn't "ruin" country music. Lotta good burgers in this town; nobody forcing you to eat McDonald's.
+Andrew Kling Yes, but they don't have to advertise the shitty pop country for the soul purpose of monetary gains, therefore only feeding the general populace bullshit.
there aint no soul purpose. just sole purpose. the soul is long gone
Country music´s New superstar!!! Great voice!!
Amen for some new "old" country. Keep it up
Actually Strurgill is a great guy, great player. But both the drummer and the lead guitarist are pure gems too. Transporting music, thank you so much.
I been following Sunday Valley (Sturgill) for about 3 yrs just because it's real Country music! Awesome
That lead guitarist is awesome! What a real country band!
one of the best songs written in a long, long time.
Keeping coming back to this. Awesome.
He ought to be the CMA entertainer of the year instead of who was this year.
Winston Dodd i dont think he could he dresses like a normal everyday guy.
He wasn't nominated for a cma. He did win a Grammy for album of the year. During the CMAs he busked outside. There is a great video of it.
That just shows you, its who you know, not what you know. In my opnion the people out side listening to Sturgill, out side the awards, seen the real winner and also got a curb side performance, this man is the real deal. @@prestonjoeyoung
Sturgill Simpson is Awesome! I discovered him on here about 3 weeks ago and it's been all I've been listening to.
Great country. Laur is an amazing guitarist. Sturgill is a damn good singer and can hold his own on guitar.
"Six Days On The Road",
"Willin' "
now this.
Good company.
"Real country music" at it's best! Sure hope he decides to continue once healthy at some point! He is the King of Country!
Waylon Jennings ALIVE N WELL!!
That's what I was thinking too... vintage young Hoss for sure.
Yes exactly my thought ❤️🎶🎶❤️
His grandson struggle jennings has the number one song on one of the itunes charts right now God we need you now. Check it out. Def not like this but he has some really good music. He's done music for over ten years but went to prison for awhile for selling coke then he got out i think 5 yeqrs ago now and has been killin it in music and completely got his shit together now. Check that song out if you haven't yet
Best truck driving song I've ever heard! Love Sturgill!
Haha, the guitarist using a fender champ. Awesome.
Laur can play through a fisher price speaker and make it sing like a Dumble.
I love the sound of this mic and the way the hall is playing into the song. Simply wonderful to hear! I was listening to a bunch of his songs in the process of writing a review and this one is a gem. Nice work, y'all!
He’s such an amazing talent. Which of his songs is your favorite
Agreed Amy. Lots going on into this “sound”. Brilliant job folks🤠
Nobody hears this music in Puerto Rico. However Sturgill is playing the universal language of music. Absolutely fantastic
Amazing.
Love it ...on of my favorite’s☀️..!..
sturgil says: I'm not playing ur studio & I'm not playing what u want me 2 play. his way
Friend sent me this said he thought about me, great song , best trucking song bar none.
I swear when I first heard this I thought it was on my local old country station, then I remembered it’s on Pandora. Thought it was Merle or Waylon maybe a song I’d never heard
Damn, I love this💕💕💕💕
that guitar solo and chamber panned to the right made my day
The sound. Low key outlaw attitude. This is the real thing.
I was thinking why Sturgill's DI'd guitar sounded so lush and so much like an acoustic guitar then saw who posted the video.
God bless your pickups.
He’s such an amazing talent. Which of his songs is your favorite
Excellent!
#1 in my book , Love this jam
Love me some Sturgill
I tell ya what everytime i watch this man, listening to him .. Wow ! ! ! I would love for Sturgill Simpson to come to London .. KENTUCKY.... Oh yes
Now this is a bonafide country song...kinda had that Waylon Jennings type sound to me....well done Sturgill!!
I love Sturgill, getting ready to see him in three months. Albeit he sounds just like a young Waylon.
The first ever Uber I got in the South was a guy in a Dodge Ram called Chad. I told him I was surprised that he was driving such a vehicle, as every Uber driver in NZ is in a Toyota Prius. He paused for one very long second then replied, "well... in my opinion.... real man drives a truck".
Man i love this song....👍
Recapturing "The Hag"
Neil Lassu you hear Merle? I hear Waylon every single time
Little Joe and Sturgill gonna save the genre..one long white line at a time ;)
He is another singer I love along with Chris Stapleton ...Both Kentucky boys...

Da gum! I like it. Waylon incarnate!
I like this! Good find.
Where did you come across this guy?
Sent you a separate email!
sturgil just got a grammy nomination for his last album, metamodern sounds in country, he's in the americana category which jut the catch all for white guys that play real instruments and are not rock.
NOT WAYLON. STURGILL.
?

Hahaha. Yes!

Irony
Great road song, should go right next to Willin.
Kicks 100% ass!! Sturgill needs to bring Laur back, like yesterday! Killer guitar playing!
That lead guitar sounds fucking good.
Really wish I had a studio/rehearsal space like that. And a good 3 piece band to go along with it.
Real country, dang, this is the good ol stuff that makes Nashville pop music look bad.
Oh my
Yellowstone brought me here!
wow
Real country music...fcuk the current trashville music 👊🏻 this music is country at its best not commercial crap like just now 🙁
Sounds like a young Waylon Jennings.....Amen
He’s such an amazing talent. Which of his songs is your favorite
Are these recordings of Sturgill available for purchase ? Very nice sound.
Tho I definitely prefer this in 432 hz.
But this is literally one of my favorite things in the world. And I'm not even a coke🥥🇨🇨🌴👃🏽🤧head or anything. Just absolutely love this song.
Did anyone else notice similarities between this song and " when the saints going marching in"? Melody wise. ( Not in a knock-off kind of way or anything like that )
I like this song a trillion times more
Raylan Givens really getting it with that guitar
The dog is cool
