He was one of 10 kids raised on a farm. Never learned to read or write. Served in the Navy in WWII (which is how I came to be here). One of the wisest and most real people I've ever known. So glad I came across Tyler's music. Besides being just generally great and real the way my grandfather was, I immediately heard grandpa's way of speaking, phraseology, mannerisms, etc. It's like I get to kind of hang out & listen to him talk for a while. Just found this guy. I grew up in Detroit, and that's the name of the song I listened to first. I know some 60's, and 70's country songs I've heard played in my house growing up. This takes me right back there. Amazing!
