I was just outside looking at my CAI on my Daytona charger. The airbox is built all the way down to the fender hole so I don't know if that's a new design or not but it still has that stupid hole in the front of the box still. I'm buying a mopar adapter piece they sell separately for the challenger and I'm going to see if I can get it to fit in there just to snorkel cooler air farther from the fans.

Yep, that open cut out is a big source of hot air intrusion, and should come blocked off from Mopar. The other is the cut out notch along the top edge that is closest to the radiator support. Hot air can hit the hood, and roll right into the box though that notch. The third issue is the box sits too low in the car, and doesn't allow the "seal" to do squat. It doesn't get compressed at all when the hood is closed, so hot air can seep in around that as well. I have another vid to upload from the track on Friday night, but the car trapped 115+ on two different runs, including one in +1500 DA. I hot lapped the car later in the night, and saw an initial 1 mph drop off from run 1 to run 2. Then it stabilized and stayed 114+ on 3 consecutive runs, with zero cool down. DA was +900 and up. Hellcat box would drop off 1-2 mph between the first 2 runs, then an additional 1-2 mph from run 2 to run 3, in very similar conditions.
