I met a gorgeous woman, I fell in love with her and she fell in love with me. But, she didn't know what to do about her boyfriend and I didn't want her boyfriend in our relationship so I had to let her go. But she won't stop messaging me. It's hard for me to let her go but I had to... We said goodbye forever like 4 times already but we were still talking because a day later or a few hours, she always calls or texts again and silly me responds. Now we said our goodbyes for a 5th time and if she texts or calls again, I will not answer. It's really hard but I have to be firm. Cheating isn't my thing. She said she'll leave her bf for me but what type of woman would she be to just jump from one guy to a next... It's a shame I really had a connection with her though but it was under the wrong circumstances. I'll let God find me a new woman.

When I was a young boy we had a female squirrel that was so tame....would come out of the trees and come up on our back porch and get nuts and really loved popcorn....lol...anyhoo she ended up with babies a year later and don't you know she'd bring them with her too and all would get treats!! Omg so cute!! This reminds me so much of my wild pet squirrel Peanut!! He would be waiting for me every morning on my porch and I would give him peanuts. Eventually when my front door was open he would come in and investigate everything and climb up on the back of my couch where I was sitting. I never got to hold him though. 😞. My cat Pebbles would play outside with him in the grass and they would chase each other!! I have video and someday will figure out how to upload them!! He’s rehabilitated by us to be totally self-sufficient. Me and my husband are the only people he trusts and will occasionally take treats from us. But yes, he is wild. 🤗He isn’t cuddly anymore which makes me sad, but I get it. Also, I uploaded a family update video yesterday!
I had a pet squirrel like this one, IF you don't know you have a Fox Squirrel, I took mine to school with me, back then he wasn't very big, I always wore a army shirt, like a light jacket, his tail would hang out, no one notice at first, I let him help me eat lunch, I had forgotten to bring with me any food for him, I almost think he thought he was a person. They are smart. I've been told they make better pets Then Gray Squirrels. I don't know if that is true. I am glad you put him on TH-cam.

You can hold and cuddle a female squirrel until they reach adulthood, then they find it "improper". Still, they will be close, nap on you, groom you, and so forth. They are not unlike human children in this respect. Two seasons is a long time for a squirrel in the wild. The predator situation is daunting. Then there are cars and one major hazard of which we are less aware: Electric wires: Electric wires will kill them if cracked and they touch one while they touch a pole. Some are also strongly attracted to the odor of the rubber compound in these wires and are killed when they bite them. Of all the hazards they contend with, humans introduce the deadliest (habitat issues, pesticides, electric wires, cars, and cats).

He is precious! I absolutely love squirrels! I raised and rehabbed one baby who is now a happy wild squirrel. He stayed outside by his cage for around 3 months and then finally decided to start venturing off until he decided he would rather stay away. I love him so much and definitely miss my little Ollie boy but I know he is a happy wild boy. We always leave bird seed and nuts out and have all of the wild squirrels come and eat so he always had food ready for him if he decides he wants to pay me a visit. Edit: I hadn't realized your squirrels name was Oliver! Mine was name Oliver Twist and I called him Oliver or Ollie!

There is no way to describe the bond between a squirrel and it's "human". I don't think the average person can grasp just how intelligent and loving a squirrel can be. Earning their trust and loyalty is an amazing gift!
I befriended a squirrel who would follow my dog and me bc I had seeds and nuts in my bag. She stopped following and started zigzagging in front of us to get my attention. Initially, she had some trepidations about pup, but they disappeared as she realized he was harmless and only wanted to play. I also knew a guy that left his patio door sl opened, so his squirrel friend could sleep on the back of his couch at night. Many stories of wild animals befriending humans and other breeds, only dim jackasses have difficulty fathoming such a beautiful thing.

You better be careful if you play with other squirrels, like that. I always heard that if you ever hand feed one (like, say, in a park) that you should curl your fingers in because they can (and might) take a finger tip off.
i had a few pet squirrels about 12 years ago... then with the large group.. they all started getting large bumps/ tumors on there bodies and even there eyes exploded. The animal rescue shelter said that when they get together in large groups like that they get something like aids for squirrels. It was a horrible looking death as they all disappeard one by one. they would eat out of my hand but not like this guy. I miss that. thanks.
Mattress Boy he fell out of his nest after a storm when he was 5 weeks old. I rehabilitated him and released him when he was old enough to take care of himself.
They are not so simple. All baby mammals will take food from a surrogate when orphaned. They form complex, adult relationships with humans once they pass adolescence.

We kept him away from other humans because we knew we’d release him and we didn’t want him approaching anyone else for food since nobody around us knew we were rehabilitating him. He comes to me and will sometimes come to my husband, but not often. That being said, we haven’t seen him in about 2 months which is highly unusual so we’re assuming he’s no longer with us at this point.
Omg I want one. We have 6 cats and a dog and this gorgeous squirrel is more sociable and loving than 4 of my cats. Your a very lucky lady to have a pet squirrel xxx
I think depending on the situation, they could be good pets. I rehabilitated this one when he was a baby. If he’d had some type of disability we would’ve kept him indoors, but luckily he’s totally healthy so we released him once he was capable of taking care of himself. Since he’s a rodent he chewed a lot (doors, shoes, furniture...) and training him to potty in a specific spot didn’t go well so we’re glad he could be released. 😂

Oh my gosh, this is beautiful. I have a pecan tree in my back yard and the squirrels have never been this interactive, except to holler at me when I'm in the back yard in the Fall!

Not necessarily. Most squirrels also lick as a grooming behavior which they do readily as a "favor" and in reciprocity for you grooming them.

There is no way to describe the bond between a squirrel and it's "human". I don't think the average person can grasp just how intelligent and loving a squirrel can be. Earning their trust and loyalty is an amazing gift!

I befriended a squirrel who would follow my dog and me bc I had seeds and nuts in my bag. She stopped following and started zigzagging in front of us to get my attention. Initially, she had some trepidations about pup, but they disappeared as she realized he was harmless and only wanted to play. I also knew a guy that left his patio door sl opened, so his squirrel friend could sleep on the back of his couch at night. Many stories of wild animals befriending humans and other breeds, only dim jackasses have difficulty fathoming such a beautiful thing.

Any animals will befriend a human when fed, for wild animals it's incredibly hard and dangerous to get food, so if they are fed by humans they instinctively bond with them, that's only logical

That's not a wild squirrel, not any more. It's not _domesticated_ but it's clearly been tamed. That's exactly what taming is: taking a wild animal and habituating it to the presence and control of humans.

i had a few pet squirrels about 12 years ago... then with the large group.. they all started getting large bumps/ tumors on there bodies and even there eyes exploded. The animal rescue shelter said that when they get together in large groups like that they get something like aids for squirrels. It was a horrible looking death as they all disappeard one by one. they would eat out of my hand but not like this guy. I miss that. thanks.
These tumors are often seen in squirrels forced to forage in areas that use pesticides and herbicides on their lawns.

Mattress Boy he fell out of his nest after a storm when he was 5 weeks old. I rehabilitated him and released him when he was old enough to take care of himself.
so basically he has imprinted on you, and sees you as a mother.
They are not so simple. All baby mammals will take food from a surrogate when orphaned. They form complex, adult relationships with humans once they pass adolescence.
Darwin Hoop very true. We kept him away from other humans because we knew we’d release him and we didn’t want him approaching anyone else for food since nobody around us knew we were rehabilitating him. He comes to me and will sometimes come to my husband, but not often. That being said, we haven’t seen him in about 2 months which is highly unusual so we’re assuming he’s no longer with us at this point.

I think depending on the situation, they could be good pets. I rehabilitated this one when he was a baby. If he’d had some type of disability we would’ve kept him indoors, but luckily he’s totally healthy so we released him once he was capable of taking care of himself. Since he’s a rodent he chewed a lot (doors, shoes, furniture...) and training him to potty in a specific spot didn’t go well so we’re glad he could be released. 😂

I have a tree with a level place that I have put a container of water and a bird feeder that I'm putting apple cores into.
