i ordered to Romeo Zero from Academy Sports on Black Friday for $99 shipped. It arrived today 12/4/21 and it included the shroud. I found your video during my research. i guess I got a really rare Black Friday deal in my hands.
Me too saw it for $99 and could not believe it, came with the shroud but did not install it after I read some complaints that the red dot Would not hold zero since it would slide once mounted with the shroud on , that that is true I don’t know but did not want to risk it
I got a P365 XL RomeoZero in February 2021. I thought the pistol might come with the shroud mounted or at least in the box but it was neither. Thanks to this video I called the optics customer service and for $10 postage they sent one right out. The rep said don't forget to change the battery as long as you have the optic off the gun.
I just bought one the other day for my Sig p322 and it came with the shroud which I'm not going to use. I would never put this on any other pistol but a .22. But to each their own. I think it's one hell of a deal for training purposes at $130 bucks. New sub!
Welcome and thanks for the sub! I believe you’ve got it 100% right. The plan is to swap this optic for a Holosun 407/507k here in the near future. Then I’ll keep it in storage until I can get my hands on a P322 (jealous you’ve been able to find one: would love to know how it shoots). Thanks for the comment!
We have heard a few people say they got their shrouds with their Zero like you did! Sig must be shipping them standard now. Thanks for the info dvcmaster!
Hey, I might be a bit late but I’ve seen that if your purchase the romeo zero in the mod kit with the OD green grip module it comes with the shroud included! On amazon and classic firearms it seems to be running about $160 for the entire kit (romeo zero, grip module, and shroud) the model number is SORG0605 for 6 MOA or SORG0305 for 3 MOA
Just received my 365XL and Romeo last week. Shroud included. My slide’s stock sight (screw) was torqued way too tight and got stripped trying to remove. Called Sig and they had a shipping label in my email within minutes for them to rectify the situation. Great experience on the customer service side! GS wanted to charge me $80
Glad I dropped in on this video. Ive got a 365XL on its way to my FFL, hopefully by weeks end. also have a Romeo 0, coming with it. I've heard about the metal shroud, but up until this video didn't know how to acquire one. thanks, I'm subscribing..
Glad we could help and welcome aboard SlingPilot! Let us know if you have any issues getting it. We have heard from a few that they are charging a fee for them now. Thanks for the support!
@@RangeDay thanks! Hoping to have it by weeks end, it’s paid for, was in stock and they have all my paperwork. The LE distributor is overloaded, so they are telling me, with COVID and all. Keeping my 🤞🙏.
@@da20eclipse Yeah COVID has been affecting all kinds of supply chains. That with the election year coming up. Ammo, optics, and reputable firearms are hard to come by!
On problem is the Romeo zero fits my hell cat but the shroud doesn't. The hell cat has 4 recoil lugs which the Romeo zero optic has a space for those but they did not include the extra 2 holes in the shroud. Doesnt make any sense why they dint include those holes. Why make the optic compatible with the RMSc foot print but not the shroud . Its not that its a hard fix but just don't understand why they wouldn't make it cross compatible like the optic
Just bought a P365 XL with the Romeo Zero sights already installed from the factory. It did not come with a shroud included. I see on Sigs web-site that they have a shroud for the Romeo Zero for $19.95. I think I will be ordering the shroud after watching this video!
Hey good video just got a 365 xl with the Romeo zero put a 100 rounds down range and the next day I lost my zero so I sent it back to sig also I see the dot on yours was more of a dot mine was bleary and not a dot so I hope sig will fix me up and the cover is a nice add on
Thanks for the comment Brian! I’ve heard of multiple people having that exact issue with the Romeo Zero. Seems like some of them the adjustment screws get loose and it just moves the reticle all over the place. I wonder if that’s a QC issue on their end or an inherent issue with the optic. Others have reported it, and it truly is worrisome to think that may be an issue, however the current Romeo Zero we have hasn’t given us issues. Just some gripes on the adjustments! Other than that, it has performed flawlessly and held zero no matter what we’ve thrown at it.
I'm running 2 of the MPRDs. They are pretty great and have been thru the ringer! I actually am running on a P10C and a 2.0. Both were custom cut by DP Customs and the small dots I really like on the guns. While at have Romeo Pro1, RMR Type 2, Steiner MRD, multiple Holosuns in 507C X2, K, 508 and 509, this combo I enjoy how compact the dots are, even on TB suppressor capable tools. Riton has been nothing but amazing in CS, and professionalism. While I have been BLOWN AWAY by them and Swampfox (Justice and Liberty on a couple tools in PCC), only time will tell where they stake their claim against the older proven killers. So far, the bang for the buck on the ALUMINUM Ritons, and HD glass, is unequalled.
I bought my red dot on Amazon and it came with it. I do like how it feels since it’s so cheap feeling plastic. However I have noticed that the shroud is just tall enough where you can’t use the rear sight for me
Thanks for the feedback. I’ve got the first gen where the rear sight plate is removed in its entirety, so the backup irons in the sight was my backup. Is it bad enough to limit that system useless or is it still manageable?
I just saw that at Primary Arms, on sale for $150 ish, only with the FDE, not with the black housing. The shrouds should just come with the optic. This afterthought is bullshit. Your product is complete or it isn't as competition to other products. Sign should just send them out to zero owners. Period. And get them in the boxes now. Nobody wants to deal with more bullshit.
@@RangeDay My RomeoZero has an FDE body with a black metal shroud, NRA edition 365XL package. I've never seen them before, just have been stalking as many LGSs in the area for P365s. A bunch of them started popping up lately at Scheels, Cabellas, and smaller stores.
Purchased a 365xl and the romeo a couple months ago. I have the same complaints others already brought up. The button location is awful, and the polymer lens is a scratch magnet, even with very light edc. I was worried about being able to find a 507k, but when I called my local shop to check they had 15 of them in stock. Made the switch that day and couldn't be happier.

We are happy to help! Let us know how you like that Zero. We hear differing opinions on it and we want all the info we can get! Thanks for the comment Stephen Crumley!
@Nilly Sigger Some people have told us they got the shroud standard with their Zero when they bought it from a distributor. We agree, not getting the shroud would be a deal breaker because you need it for durability.
@Nilly Sigger Dang. That's pretty steep considering they were handing these out recently. We can say that the red dot performs well and holds zero well, so if you do end up with one it's not too bad. Look into the Holosun 507k too if you are looking at subcompact rds!
When I got it I sighted it at home with a co-witness. Got it to the range and could drive a nail in to a board with it, np. The brightness button is STUPID, but otherwise I love the optic.
Happened to me. I bought a Romeo zero within one month the battery was draining. I sent it in for repairs, they sent me a new one with the shroud everything packaged in a nice box.
Wish they would do what burris did with the fast fire 4 and make a shroud that encloses the emitter. Would be nice if everyone picked that option up for their open reflex optics.
The built in rear sights aren’t too high or pronounced so you may be able to get away with it, however I’m not sure. It’s probably solid plastic down to the main housing so I don’t think it would go through the casing, but I cannot say for sure.
I called CS today and the guy couldn't have been nicer. Even though my registration didn't process from the weekend he took my address and said they'd ship one out asap. I did have to spend an hour on hold but I was doing other things too anyway.
We have heard great things about their customer service and they have taken care of us! We have heard of a few instances when Sig's CS fell through, but for the most part, they have their act together. Enjoy the shroud!
Some of both! Originally it comes with the 3M to place between the optic and the base which I used on the first battery. It’s supposed to help with connection however it didn’t seem to benefit mine in any way. So when I reinstalled after the first battery swap I took the 3M off and I’ve had no issues that way either. Probably couldn’t go wrong either way.
The shroud looks like it raises the optic does that change to ability to use the fixed sights? It seems to me when the rear sight is raised it will throw off the ability to use to fixed sights should the red dot fail for what ever reason.
Yes! While it does raise the sight a bit, the irons can still be witnessed through the red dot sight. The irons are just a little lower in the sight picture.
I just purchased the Romeo Zero from Turner's in May 2024 and the metal shroud was included in the clamshell packaging. Maybe it's a mistake, but I opted to not install it because I prefer the sleek, low profile look of the naked optic and the shroud adds some bulk.
I just picked mine up yesterday and they had the metal shroud. My FFL tells me if ordered with the gun it does not come with the shroud. Order it aftermarket and it comes with it
Just bought a 365x, the store had a bunch of romeo 0s for sale. The bizarre thing is, only one of the romeo 0s for sale at the store came with the shroud. Same packaging and all... what's even more bizarre is that it didn't cost more for me to grab the only one that had the shroud in the packaging.
That store must have had the previous round of Zero packaging and the new round. They’re including the shroud with the packaging now! Good thing you grabbed the shroud too
@@RangeDay I asked for the 507k, and was told I should just grab the romeo 0. Bad choice in hindsight, but I'm glad I got the shroud. I'll rock it till it breaks/scratches, lol. Thanks for the awesome content 👌
hi i went to buy a 365x w/ RZ, i felt the optic was defective as the dot floated all around just didnt seem right, is this how they all are, and maybe why ppl dont like them? or its the nature of red dots (im new to them)
As far as the floating dot, they definitely (seemingly) exaggerate your alignment and aim with your handgun. That’s typical with red dots. Red dots can help you understand your trigger pull and your accuracy with a handgun. With that being said, if you feel the red dot isn’t holding zero, or the emitter is malfunctioning, that’s an entirely different issue. Does that make sense? 🤣
Shake awake/MOTAC is by far one of the best features on any optic! Ours came activated straight from the factory. This feature should be active at all times while it is left on. Only deactivated of course when the optic is permanently turned off. I actually do not believe SIG includes instructions on how to turn MOTAC off/on. Hope this helps!
Absolutely! Once the next battery goes down, I’ll do a complete install. Which, I plan to replace the battery every 4 months or so since it died at 6 months last time.
@@RangeDay Awesome! What the other videos are missing is a closer look at the screws and tools needed/used. I want to see the slide close up between steps. Definitely gotta give you a subscription now! Lol thx man 👍
Yes I put this object on some compost with the metal shroud but I didn't use the optically is that okay use the metal shroud and the optic and tighten it down is that okay?
I'm sorry I meant to say I use the Romeo zero without the plate on my cat and use the metal shroud when you first and then put my ops again is that okay without using it down
Hey Terry! Thanks for the comment. We didn’t have a plate that we used when installing the optic. Chandler’s P365XL slide came straight from SIG ready for the install. Our installation was just lining the shroud up with the screw holes in the optic and securing them down. However depending on the firearm or having a slide milled, a plate may be required. But as far as on a P365X or P365XL, no plate was required. Hope this helps!
That’s what we keep hearing! And we’ve recently learned about Swampfox and would love to give them a shot. If you don’t mind saying, what Swampfox optics do you have?
The TRex Arms Sidecar is great, as well as other offerings from Tier 1, but Chandler chose an appendix carry holster from McKinatec. We have a video on the channel about it so check that one out!
From what we have gathered, Sig packaging, shipping, and distribution for the Romeo 0 is a mixed bag. We keep hearing different experiences about shroud availability. Thanks for the comment Jason Devore!
So I just got a free one joining uscca. Is it worth selling and getting a 407k or since mine was free sort of is it ok enough to keep and not spend extra money. Mine came with shroud
I’m not sure what you would get for it secondary brand new, but the 407k would be really good to consider. Maybe find a place who sells them to compare if you can. Maybe a local gun shop or a bass pro shop. In my experience with both, the 407k is superior and probably what I will swap to at some point this year. But I strongly advise trying to find one before making your decision. The Romeo Zero is still a fine optic, but the 407k just does everything a little bit better in our opinion.
It would have to raise the iron sight POI by a smidge since the sight sits higher... And it will also create a tiny bit more trajectory offset at varying distances. Whether both of these things matter for your intended purpose is the question.
When Sig came out with the P365, I decided to wait until they fixed the primer drag issue. Now I really like the P365X with the RomeoZero, but it looks like I'll be waiting for them to make the R0 out of metal instead of polymer. Why can't you get anything right the first time, Sig?
So the emitter and rear of the screen is still exposed. Beretta offers theirs with a shroud that encloses those. Don’t really plan on getting either though using sights to co-witness sounds a lot like using iron sights.
I bought the p365 XL with the Romeo zero already on it. I wonder if they send me one? I've heard some people say they contacted them and sig said they're not available
We have heard that from others as well. When we spoke with Sig Customer Service, they had to check some figures and facts before they decided to send one to Chandler. This Service Rep thought there might be a cost associated with getting it sent our way but they spoke with their managers and they sent it to us free of charge. Have your friends try again with Sig and see what they say! Thanks for the comment James Broughton!
Based on some experiences it’s hard to argue against. Based on the stories I think I’ve got a good one aside from battery life. But it will be replaced. Hoping to find a good deal on the new Sig .22 pistol and put the Romeo Zero on there. But they are a bit marked up and unobtainable at the moment. A $500 base price seems a bit steep for a .22, hoping that comes down.
While we don’t know if it does fit the shield, some have said they have been able to make it work. We don’t recommend it if you have to Jerry rig it though. Some have said they drilled some extra holes for the foot print.
I’m sorry for the dumb question, but I’m not to the gun world. I wanna get a p365XL, but my local shop only has it with the Romero zero sight. If I purchase it, would I be able to remove it and return to iron sights?
That’s a very good question! Yes you could. You could take it off and put a Mount cover/plate on it to make it flush. You will definitely have to pay more for the model with the Zero on it though! And welcome to the gun world. We are here anytime you have a question. Stay safe with this new hobby and practical skill 😎🇺🇸
It can if you get an adapter for it. The Zero has a compact footprint where the XCarry has a plate for a Deltapoint Pro or Romeo 1. We would recommend the Romeo 1 since you wouldn’t have to get an adapter, but if you want the Zero, that’s all you 😎
Appreciate the video man, just one question so I need to register my romeo zero with sig to get the shroud is that right? I'll try and give them a call if I can remember to this coming week
Hey we are happy to help! We aren't 100% sure if you have to have it registered or not. Chandler already had his registered when he got in contact with them, and they sent him his shroud. It's possible the warranty included the shroud or something like that. Sig Customer Service should be able to help you with that. If they require you to register it, it may only take a few minutes with them on the phone or through their website. Hope that helps!
Great video. You actually answered a question I had which was awesome. Got a new subscriber now. I will def need one of those shrouds if I decide to get the p365xl.
The sig website for the p365x ( not xl) slide with the Romeo zero says that it doesn’t include the shroud. They need to make their website better. What they need is more drop down menus to order what you want. Like the p365 slide assembly could just be one page and choose the slide option you want (like xl, sas, X-ray w/ milling, coyote, nitride or just X-ray) in a drop down menu. Same with barrels, grips and other accessories. It’s just 3 pages of the same things with different options individually. They could literally have a drop down menu to add the shroud when purchasing their optics or an adapter plate. They could sell way more if the options were right there when ordering a related item. Cmon sig! All your website does is have 5 pop ups for cookies, fraudulent sig websites and their ammo that’s in stock. I think a 10 year old designed their site..
Haha We know what you mean. They probably mass produce the slides with the optics already mounted, so there isn't much room for customization in purchasing from them. A "Sig Customs" page would be nice, even if they charged a little bit more. Drop downs would be very convenient for that too. Good thoughts.
It’s a good option, but after purchasing a Holosun 407k on a great sale, I’ve really been enjoying it as well. The Romeo Zero never led me wrong, but from a pure quality feel, the 407k takes the cake!
I’ve seen some other comments on this video that there are accounts of not being able to zero the red dot, but I haven’t heard of the shroud itself causing that issue. Any chance you could link one of those to check it out?
Range Day I saw a video comparing the original p365 to the new p365xrz and he said the new model weighed less than the old one. He ventured that it was due to the Romeo zero replacing the metal slide plate. Sounds like the shroud may cancel that out. Great vid
@@notorioustbg That's a very good point. The Zero is really lightweight and the plate probably weighs more than the Zero. We recommend the shroud if you are going to get the Zero just to add durability to your optics. Glad you liked the video! We are happy to help.
We would love to get our hands on one. They seem like the better choice but we haven't had an opportunity to compare them. Holosun makes great products.
I had to send my Romeo zero in and they sent Me the shroud with the site as well. What did you do as far as putting the 3M tape on it underneath the shroud. I had to peel mine off when I sent it in to put the factory sights back on. Did you just put it on without the tape?
Hey Charlie! The build didn't come together until Chandler was late in obtaining all the parts, holsters, etc. So the 3M wasn't installed yet, he just installed it on the inside of the shroud. Honestly, we don't know for sure if that 3M is even needed. Might be worth a day at the range without the 3M to test, then if issues occur, I think a roll of 3M tape cut to a proper size piece may do the trick. If all else fails, reach out to SIG Customer Service and see if they can get one to you. Might seem odd, but SIG CS has always been really helpful. Nonetheless they might be able to tell you exactly the product they used so that you could cut your own. Hope this helps!
Just a little update! I installed the optic with the shroud today with no 3M tape. I put a couple hundred rounds through it and it held zero really well so far. So hopefully it stays that way. Thanks guys for your input.
@@charliehopp7709 Thanks for the update! We always love hearing back from the community on developments with their gear. Glad you got to get some range time with it and it held up well. Glad we could help!
My whole thing is, the polymer the romeo zero is made out of is probably the same as the grip module, and what are you doing where your red dot is going to get destroyed? Cause if the red dot gets destroyed, so does the grip.
This shroud negates the main quality of the RomeoZero sight: being small and compact. Adding the shroud makes the sight, bigger, bulkier and less compact. Now if Sig realised there is an issue with the durability of their product, they should come up with a new product that addresses the issues RomeoZero has (plastic body, plastic lens, poorly located button, poor battery replacement, etc.). Then, they can offer their new product as replacement to all RomeoZero owners (eventually after paying a difference). I would suggest them to take notice from Holosun 507/407K.
I bought a used p365x at a pawnshop. It had the romeo zero. The polymer lens was all scratched up from someone not cleaning it properly. I took it off and replaced it with holosun 407k. The polymer construction and the fact that you have to pull the unit off the gun to replace the battery is just bad design.
The shroud doesn’t add much size to it. However, I believe it may be slightly larger than a comparable 407/507k with the shroud installed. It’s still a compact micro optic either way!
You’re right. It definitely does. In the P365XL build, we covered up the grip stippling anyways with some Talon Pros, so it didn’t bother us that much. Plus we like the extra durability. But it does have a much better overall look and low profile with the shroud off.
Definitely a better selling point than the standard msrp of $220 that sig wants it for. After checking out the 407k by Holosun from a friend, I would probably recommend saving up the ~$100 more for that. The Romeo Zero hasn’t done me wrong, but that build quality seems far superior on the Holosun.
@@RangeDay I have a local gun shop that wanted 270 for it lol so of course I had to check out Amazon . Yeah I can definitely tell the Holosun is built tougher but I do like the sleek design of the Romeo. Thanks for the reply man. Be safe!
This is an absolutely fantastic point and something we echo here on the channel. Holosun is putting out some great products. Uncle Ray, who is regularly featured in our Range Highlight Videos, brought one out last Range Day and the quality was top notch. I’ll be looking at the 407k, 507k, or maybe even the new enclosed micro optic revealed at Shot Show 2022 for the Romeo Zero’s replacement here in 2022.

@@mikejochem4677 yeah that doesn’t make sense to us either. Sig needs to change that if they do a newer round of shrouds.
@@mikejochem4677 seems like an easy fix with a drill?
Just bought a P365 XL with the Romeo Zero sights already installed from the factory. It did not come with a shroud included. I see on Sigs web-site that they have a shroud for the Romeo Zero for $19.95. I think I will be ordering the shroud after watching this video!
The shroud adds a lot of peace of mind to the durability of the Zero! Glad we could help 😎
@@RangeDay well that’s good to hear I should be getting my new one some time tomorrow so I hope it works well thanks for the comeback god bless
Riton makes a really nice micro red dot with the same footprint.
Wouldn't mind trying one of those.
We will have to look into that! Thanks for the tip 😎
Gotta check my 365xl that has the Romeo from factory. Didn’t see a shroud included so hope I can grab it! And also the iron sights plate.
If it doesn't come with it, we highly recommend picking it up by contacting Sig. The Zeros aren't tough enough without them!
I guess they now come with them, at least the one I just bought last month did. It was in the package with the red dot.
That’s right! They are coming with the optic now!
Great info, subbed and liked.
Got my 365 XL last week and Romeo Zero on the way. I'll see if they have the shroud included.
Thank you! We appreciate the support. Hope you like your new XL 😎
It comes with the new P365XL FDE Romeo combo standard that just started showing up on shelves.
Yeah it should have been included from the beginning.
And we haven’t seen the FDE zeros yet.
We are not a fan of the polymer window... we haven’t gotten our hands on a 507k, but we want it. Glad you got one and you are loving it!
GREAT INFOMATION HELL YEA!
Thanks 5five6! 💪🏽
How does the extra height of the rear sight (due to the shroud) affect point of aim with the irons?
If it affects point of aim, it is not noticeable. You can still witness the irons through the Zero with the shroud! Good question In Gratitude I Am!
You did a good job representing the gun. And got into the detail very well. I appreciate. That knowledge is what counts. Learning everyday is what counts. I appreciate the video. Just got a 365XL w/Romero zero 2 days ago, I’ll be trying this Monday morning and will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the heads up
We are happy to help!
@Nilly Sigger It's been a pleasure. Have a great day!
I just bought this optic yesterday, mine came with the shroud.
Black, of FDE?
When I got it I sighted it at home with a co-witness. Got it to the range and could drive a nail in to a board with it, np. The brightness button is STUPID, but otherwise I love the optic.
Yeah the button is really inconvenient and it can be annoying. Glad you like it though and can drive tacks with it! 😎 Thanks for the comment!
Happened to me. I bought a Romeo zero within one month the battery was draining. I sent it in for repairs, they sent me a new one with the shroud everything packaged in a nice box.
Bummer your first Zero was having issues, but good thing Sig took care of you and sent you a shroud. And Sig's packaging is always nice.
Battery drain quickly means its is screwed in too tight
Wish they would do what burris did with the fast fire 4 and make a shroud that encloses the emitter. Would be nice if everyone picked that option up for their open reflex optics.
We haven’t had much experience with Burris but we have seen what you’re talking about. Pretty nifty design.
Using on a different gun u think it possible to file the rear sights built in down a bit without filing through the case??
The built in rear sights aren’t too high or pronounced so you may be able to get away with it, however I’m not sure.
It’s probably solid plastic down to the main housing so I don’t think it would go through the casing, but I cannot say for sure.
Just bought one on Black Friday from academy and it came in the package… @99.00 great deal….
That is a great deal! Academy has some good deals!
When you installed it did you put the m3 tape on the shroud base? Or not use it at all
Some of both!
Yeah it actually sucks. It’s hard to see the front site with the shroud
@@sagemauk How bad was it to see the hardware front sights?
I just purchased the Romeo Zero from Turner's in May 2024 and the metal shroud was included in the clamshell packaging. Maybe it's a mistake, but I opted to not install it because I prefer the sleek, low profile look of the naked optic and the shroud adds some bulk.
Shroud definitely adds bulk. When I swapped it to the S&W 5.7, I kept it off when I swapped it to that to keep it slim.
To get the shroud. You just need to call Sig customer service. It is $10.00 for shipping. I was not charged for the shroud.
That’s right! And now they’re starting to include the shrouds with the Romeo 0!
I just picked mine up yesterday and they had the metal shroud. My FFL tells me if ordered with the gun it does not come with the shroud. Order it aftermarket and it comes with it
I never thought about that, however I believe you’re right. A friend of ours had one from the factory on a 365XL and it did not come with the shroud.
What about the lens scratching from minute grains of ash that are ejected during shooting?!
We haven’t noticed any yet, but time will tell. We will pay attention to it next time 😎
Amazon one for 170 was legit. And came with the shroud
That's a good price too! Glad to hear they're pretty much all shipping with the shroud!
Did not know it has shake awake how do you activate this setup?
Shake awake/MOTAC is by far one of the best features on any optic! Ours came activated straight from the factory.
This feature should be active at all times while it is left on. Only deactivated of course when the optic is permanently turned off. I actually do not believe SIG includes instructions on how to turn MOTAC off/on.
Hope this helps!
Can we get an install video?
Lol thx man 👍
So the shroud that comes in the pack is not the one you are showing here?
The shroud included in the packaging is the same one as this. They used to do it separately but now they include it standard with the red dot!
Great idea if u already have this optic but Holosun 507k sooo much better or the Swampfox sentinel which is great for the price as well
That’s what we keep hearing! And we’ve recently learned about Swampfox and would love to give them a shot. If you don’t mind saying, what Swampfox optics do you have?
I have the Swampfox Liberty on my Walther PPQ Tac4
@@LawlessDog112 gonna have to check that out. Thanks for the reply!
What is good appendix carry holster for this firearm?
The TRex Arms Sidecar is great, as well as other offerings from Tier 1, but Chandler chose an appendix carry holster from McKinatec. We have a video on the channel about it so check that one out!
Can I mount this optic on my p365?
Yes! If it’s not optics ready, you will need some work done but the optic is in a P365XL in this video!
Ordered on amazon 12-27-2020 received 12-29-2020. Mine came with the shroud in the package, not in the description.
From what we have gathered, Sig packaging, shipping, and distribution for the Romeo 0 is a mixed bag. We keep hearing different experiences about shroud availability. Thanks for the comment Jason Devore!
Got the link to the seller?
OWN IT AND I LOVE IT
It didn’t give me any issue when I had it on there. I’m saving it now for when I can get my hands on the Sig P322!
Did adding that metal shroud mess with the front sight cowitness?
It did not. The back up irons can still be witnessed and used! Great question Matt Sadecki!
Yeah once they make a metal version of the R0, we will be all about that.
So the emitter and rear of the screen is still exposed. Beretta offers theirs with a shroud that encloses those. Don’t really plan on getting either though using sights to co-witness sounds a lot like using iron sights.
I would recommend skipping it. Hasn’t done me wrong, but there are much better optics for not much more.
*Never settle* for our Romeo zero! I think that's what they ment 🤣
Maybe it also fits on shield

It’s truly our pleasure! If you ever have any questions just let us know and we will do our best to give you the info you need. 😎
Will the zero fit on a p320 x carry?
It can if you get an adapter for it. The Zero has a compact footprint where the XCarry has a plate for a Deltapoint Pro or Romeo 1. We would recommend the Romeo 1 since you wouldn’t have to get an adapter, but if you want the Zero, that’s all you 😎
This is actually hilarious.
Glad to bring some humor! Actually saw one in a local store a couple days ago. They definitely include it now.
@@RangeDay thanks brother much appreciated
I NEED this shroud!!!!
It definitely helps with the durability of this little plastic red dot! A must have for the Zero, if you have one.
Great video. You actually answered a question I had which was awesome. Got a new subscriber now.
I will def need one of those shrouds if I decide to get the p365xl.
Thank you Travis J! Glad we could answer your questions and welcome aboard. Thanks for the sub 💪🏽
Does the metal shroud just snap on to the polymer frame?
Great question! It does not snap on. You will have to remove the red dot to install it. The Zero is completely surrounded by it, including the base.
@@RangeDay Thanks for that. What tool is required to remove the dot from the frame?
@@dylanwolfe9946 our pleasure! It’s a T8 Torx/Star key! There should be one in the optic’s box!

The Romeo Zero never led me wrong, but from a pure quality feel, the 407k takes the cake!
@@RangeDay yea I just put the romeo and shroud on I like it so far will do for now
Have seen reviews that they were unable to "zero" the Romeo after installing the metal shroud.....?
I’ve seen some other comments on this video that there are accounts of not being able to zero the red dot, but I haven’t heard of the shroud itself causing that issue.
Any chance you could link one of those to check it out?
Ill look for it. I think it was a TFB review but it may have been a different one
Keep up posted!
How much does the metal shroud add in weight?
The weight it adds isn’t noticeable, and it doesn’t effect slide function at all. Maybe an ounce or two at most. Good question.

@@RangeDay it’s ok with the late reply I ended up buying the holosun andn its perfect
You can buy it now from sig for 32 bucks kinda feel like it should be included in the purchase
I agree. If they start selling without the shroud it seems like a money grab.
However, I do like that their is an option if you need a replacement.
I bought a sig the other day an has a different site
What sight came on yours? A different red dot? Or only iron sights? I know they can vary depending on which edition of the 365 you get.
My whole thing is, the polymer the romeo zero is made out of is probably the same as the grip module, and what are you doing where your red dot is going to get destroyed? Cause if the red dot gets destroyed, so does the grip.
It’s absolutely not bombproof and the polymer does make some of us nervous. You bring up a great point 👌🏽
Some good points there. Hopefully they’ll make a metal and glass version!
I did the exact same thing. A 407K Green Dot now sits on my 365XL!
Shroud is on the website for $20.
Finally! Thanks for the tip Frank45!
You can now buy these on the website: www.sigsauer.com/romeozero-shroud.html
Thanks for the tip Eric Sandoval! Wish they were originally included, but they're there for purchase as you said!
I thought the whole point of this was small
The shroud doesn’t add much size to it. However, I believe it may be slightly larger than a comparable 407/507k with the shroud installed. It’s still a compact micro optic either way!
Sig should of just made the Romeo Zero with better housing.
You’re right. Shouldn’t need supplemental attachments if it’s good to go from the start.
Kinda defeats the "matching" stippling look the naked romeo has.
You’re right. It definitely does.
In the P365XL build, we covered up the grip stippling anyways with some Talon Pros, so it didn’t bother us that much. Plus we like the extra durability. But it does have a much better overall look and low profile with the shroud off.
I hate the RZ design as the glass scratches so easy just turning it off and on. I'm not real happy with mine.
Not to mention it’s a polymer lens so it may scratch easier than glass.
The stupid shroud only has 4 holes, whereas the optic has 6. Can’t use it on my Hellcat without modification.
Yeah definitely annoying. They should have thought to make it compatible, but it was originally made just for Romeo Zero.
Whats the fix? I want to install a shroud on my hellcat and a romeo zero with shroud on my new cantik
137 bucks Amazon
Definitely a better selling point than the standard msrp of $220 that sig wants it for.
After checking out the 407k by Holosun from a friend, I would probably recommend saving up the ~$100 more for that. The Romeo Zero hasn’t done me wrong, but that build quality seems far superior on the Holosun.
@@RangeDay I have a local gun shop that wanted 270 for it lol so of course I had to check out Amazon . Yeah I can definitely tell the Holosun is built tougher but I do like the sleek design of the Romeo. Thanks for the reply man. Be safe!
Save yourself time and money and buy a Holosun instead bro's.👍 407k
We would much rather have the Holosun for sure!
$150 optic and a $70 shroud to get a lower quality and still less durable option than a Holosun 407k
