Great great advice as always. This takes real concentration and paractice to get the most from it. Thanks JT.

boxing is the most exhausting things as every parts of the body work and there is not only one rythm but many in one round,
when you run, swim, jump rope, most of the time you do it with the same speed, you are focusing on breathing and doing it good,
in sparring or a fight, you stay focus (on the opponent) and do things that exhaust you that you don't normally do in a more "passive" sport activity,
i'd say the best ways to improove stamina in boxing, is searching to destroy rythm everytime (run fast, then slow, medium, moove in every directions etc),
force you to focus on other things when you work cardio sometimes than the sport you praticing, like in combat when you are focus on the opponents habbits and try to find things that work, it's important to be able to make the brain work with the body ,
and of course being relax, accepting you'll take punches, that it's the game, knowing (or working to be like this) that you are as dangerous for your opponents that he is for you

like you said, be so focused on the fight and what you're doing. you don't even notice little nicks and that. ***WARNING*** FEELING PAIN IS A GOOD THING. NOT FEELING IT AT ALL COULD BE A SIGN OF SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG AND POSSIBLY FATAL! Like Holyfield said "if you're feeling pain you're in the game. It's when you don't feel pain that you're in trouble". Not knowing you have a cut or a bloodied nose is one thing, but taking flush punches and feeling nothing is a cue to spit out your gumshield, take a knee, stop fighting and seek medical attention immediately.

He said specifically for anyone who hasn't seen the interview that when he clinched with Mayweather, everytime, that heard Mayweather taking relaxing breaths (he didn't say relaxing breaths but rather he imitated what he heard). I highly recommend that video because Berto was very observant in his fights and described many things Mayweather did in his fight. Search "what it's like to fight floyd Mayweather" and a compilation of fighters (including the above mentioned interview) talk about their experience fighting Floyd.

It’s annoying not being able to hang in there with your training partners. I started training again last week, after a year off and I was completely gassed out. I hope there’s other ways, other than an inhaler to treat it.

I learn so much from this guy and it always resonates with things I learned on my own. So I'm going to add my own 2 cents here as an addition but by no means do I think I know more than this guy.
So #1 I found that when I started running when I was out of shape, I'd hit a wall and want to stop and catch my breath. I realised 2 things from this. 1) I paid attention to how my body wanted to breathe when catching breath. There's a lot more exhaling then inhaling and a certain degree of relaxation similar to the "letting go" technique he talks about.
There's a lot more exhaling than inhaling because your oxygen debt builds up the more you ask of your body but the feeling of not being able to catch your breath is actually an EXCESS OF CO2, rather than a lack of oxygen. So my first point is to pay attention to how your body wants to catch breath and that it's actually when you're exhaling and feeling relaxed that you recover and can calm down your cardio system.
    2) I started applying this during my workouts. I started to do 1 min punching followed by an immediate 90 sec plank. This teaches you to find the same mental place that allows you to catch your breath and teaches you to focus on the exhale and mental relaxation, despite what you're asking of your body.
I guess the final point is actually that your body can always recover in this way up until a point. If you push your oxygen debt too high, you will burn out and your recovery will be 3x as long as if it kept your intensity level within your cardio capacity. For example: I can run 10km comfortably and during the run I'll warm up and feel like I could sprint for a while. If I go for a sprint I screw up my cardio balance and burn out, my body says enough and I have to stop. However if I keep my exercise within my cardio capacity, I can edge up my intensity to whatever my cardio capacity can handle. The second I can't breathe fast enough for the level of exercise I'm doing is the second I can no longer force myself on. If I don't push past this point I can do far more.
It's all about finding that limit, keeping it within breathing control while still pushing yourself, and also practicing recovering in a controlled way after pushing yourself past your cardio capacity.
The recovery part is a real state of mind I think. If you can find true calm and recover while planking after going crazy on the heavy bag then I think it totally ties in with what he was saying here and it's a technique that works for me

I got more tired. This is great advice as now I understand what relaxing actually means. Thank you this is really helpful

@Hmmm Yes Yes I have, before I did only body sparring and now I'm doing full contact. My coach says I need 60-80 rounds before I can fully understand boxing. Basically its never ending with learning as now I'm trying to improve defense, footwork, and find my style. My advice is take your time learning basics before sparring and with sparring make sure its controlled and safe. I think its going to take me two years in total before I feel comfortable with boxing. So I might do my first fight when I'm 40 years old lol

For me is sprinting 30 s and do a 2- 4 min rest for 4 times combined with yoga pranayama (long 45 min session) on empty stomach after that morning jogging. This train your brain and nervous system to function effective when you are out of oxigen. When boxers are out of gas they are panicing. I have a russian crazy swimmer friend who did apnoe swimming for nationa tournments and they train long yoga pranayama session to increse lung capacity and not panic when out of oxigen. Best for boxers who still smoke, when doing that jogging and pranayama in the morning and smoking on same day in the evening you have to sit down after a ciggarete, ha ha ha Karlsruhe, Germany

Ani SinBag not at all. If your eating is 100 % perfect it doesn t matter if you have a protein schake or not, more important is what you eat the evening before and the day before. If you doing that sprint training you will see it is very intense. On the other side you will lose some weight thats true but it is not real muscle you loose is mostly fat. I think you concern too much about maintaining your muscles. Yeah you will get easy from 20 % fat to 10 % fat that is better you get much faster you will see. The only thing you have to consider is not to do that kind of morning training every day and not more than 1 hour because you will loose your gains and look like an ethiopian marathon runner. Best time is 35 to 45 min and recovery drinks and shakes after and dress with one more layer as usual. Humans loose the most calories in the head region, because trainer is wearing that thing on his head, so he has to eat less. Karlsruhe,Germany

It's possible to train yourself to breath like this CONSTANTLY, as your natural breathing pattern. If I can do it, it's not that hard. I find I take about half as many breaths ANYONE I've ever tested against. The benefits are amazing because you sorta feel that feeling he describes as your baselines! I am 37 and in the boxing classes I've taken, I can easily keep up with, and even outlast people 10-15 years younger than me. My method is a bit more complex than my following description but here's basically how I did it... As frequently as possible in life, remind yourself to take breaths that start from just below the belly button. Thats it. The tricky part is keeping up with the reminders, and getting more and more frequent until its just habit. The KEY for me was to take it casually and not beat myself up about it. After awhile it becomes second nature
