I live close to where Bon is buried in Fremantle, W. Aussie. There's a bench seat there in his honour where you can sit and have a quiet chat with him. I always come away feeling good. \m/

now he could say that, starting to make it in USA, Europe(England is apart of Europe, seemingly!), "we never change for anybody! ok, we are real rockers, we are rebels, nobody will tell us what we should do! ok, but if it wouldn't work he probably thouhgt differently. When you're the master, you can fuck off other people. This lack of humility is strange. Rock music doesn't belong to Australia, America and England( what about Scotland and Ireland?) Rock music belongs to working class. That's all!

    • @gillesbourgeois5348

few time before he passed, he met a french rock singer, Bernard Bonvoisin from Trust, and they became friends, I can't help imagine what he would think about Bon sayin': european people can't play rock music, or if they do, they don't do it well...Who is he to decide what is Rock music?

+Aaron Steele I feel the same way I love Bon Scott he made them famous at first. Another thing is when he died Back In Black sold like crazy its the same thing that happened when Paul Walker died Furious 7 made a ton of money. I love Bon Scott now its sad Brian left because he lost his hearing have you ever seen AC/DC live? I did back in 08 when I was 16 I did not really know about them tell I was 16 back in 08 been my favorite band for 8 years now.

I don’t see it that way. Dead or alive, Bon Scott was the foundation that’s held up AC/DC through all these years. Brian had huge shoes to fill after Bon’s death, but he did not disappoint the band or the fans when he stepped up.

One of the great things about AC/DC is that they never seemed to have a problem with ego. Bon was a great frontman and singer, but he never tried to hog the spotlight from Angus. They shared it. Malcolm, Cliff and Phil were content to stay in the shadows. I think that when Brian came in, Angus became a bit more of the focal point, but again, I didnt see Brian trying to take the spotlight away from Angus either. Probably one of the many reasons that they were able to keep it together for so long.

Check out what Molly has done in his career before you make a judgement-this is how Aussies talk about things!

I feel blessed to have attended an AC ⚡ DC concert while Bon was still with us. At one point during the show after Bon had gotten off of the stage and Angus got on his shoulders, Angus continued playing guitar through a wireless system Bon started walking down the aisles of the concert hall. Once they got to the area where I was at, one of the security team members that were surrounding them motioned me over so I could walk with them. Fucking awesome !!! We eventually started getting to an area that was packed with people so he yelled in my ear " It's getting crowded up here, head on back ". I didn't have one problem with that. Hell, if I had wanted to ... I could have reached right out and touched either Bon or Angus. I didn't attempt it out of respect.

You're lucky I was not born back then. To be honest AC/DC I love them big time. I knew a couple of their songs. I wanted a shirt by them even though I didn't know them too much. I just liked the way the shirt looked I showed it to my ex brother then he said Hey you got one. Then he gave me the album who made who for my birthday when I turned 16. Then I listened to For Those About To Rock We Salute You. That is when they became my favorite band. Just from that one song. Which was amazing big time. Then I saw them live back in 08 when I was 16. My sister took me to go see them live.

Aerosmith must have really been on coke, heroin, everything to even consider walking out on that stage that night and say bout a year to 2 years at most REO SPEEDWAGON blew them off on the ROCKS tour, which i think most would agree definitly their best album, but sucked on that night in Columbia S.C......

Bonfest in Kirriemuir Scotland is a true tribute to the great man himself, I was blessed this year to see the unveiling of his statue in in Kirriemuir and spent 3 days with the best group of Bon fans on the planet it was brilliant .If you're a true Bon and AC/DC fan and plan on visiting the U.K in the future, do it when BONFEST is on, you wont regret it. I have visited Kirriemuir seven times since the unveiling of Bon's plaque in 2000 in the towns square and I get on my hands and knees every time and clean it and to think their is now a brilliant statue of Bon in Kirri that will stand there for centuries to come is fucking awesome, I'll definitely be bringing my polishing cloth and scrubbing brush the next time I visit to make sure the great man continues to shine. Bon grew up in Kirriemuir and was born not far from there in Forfar, a hard core Scotsman and a hard core Rocker who will live on forever.

He left Scotland for Aussie at the age of six. He grew up in Melbourne to the age of 10 then went to Fremantle at the age of 10.

People were flying flags at half mast when I was in school and Bon Scott died. I always preferred Bon Scott's vocals. He was hilarious, brought some good humor and fun to rock 'n roll. He seemed like a nice, genuine fellow and it's too bad his life was so short.

Whatever 'IT' was, Bon had 'IT'. He was like the true spirit of rock and roll. What a great loss for rock and roll and music as a whole. It's a damn shame most of the world never got to know this unique entertainer. Thanks to the tube I get to learn more about him.

it blows my mind to think that at the time of this interview that either their 76 album Dirty Deeds or the 77 album Let there be Rock, could be in 150th place. Unbelievable. Would love to see all the albums that are before it and where and how they stood up in time. Bon Scott broke the mold

I saw them with Bon 4 times, and went to the Back In Black tour. It was the hardest night. Nothing against Brian Johnson, but for my money I couldn't even LISTEN to AC/DC's old stuff...it was just not the same. Bon was the voice of AC/DC and there will never be anyone who could replace him. I will never forget their first set of shows in San Francisco. I remember thinking, "OH my GOD...WHO ARE THESE GUYS!?!?!" The sheer intensity blew me away. And ANGUS WAS ONLY 18!!!!!!

What a respectful guy. Obviously as tired as fuck, or hungover, yet was patient, took each question seriously probably understanding that this is what the fans see.
Besides that Meldrum could help or damage you in those days, just ask Cold Chisel who snubbed Countdown about that ...

For those of you who complain about the interviewer in this piece, I can understand where you're coming from if you're not Australian. But for us Aussies, the interviewer is Ian "Molly" Meldrum -- an absolute legend and household name, though somewhat eccentric. He had also been a very good supporter of Bon Scott when he was in the Valentines and Fraternity back in the 60s-early 70s, that's why Bon puts up with his very dodgy interviewing technique. But the respect was mutual and they were genuinely fond of each other as people. I recommend you youtube Molly Meldrum interviewing Prince Charles, Kim Wilde and Rod Stewart. Very funny.
