    Thanks for sharing that ; it was very helpful. I see you fill the oil up to the top line. There is a low line and top line for the limits. Overfilling is not usually a good thing to do so these lines are helpful, and for seeing your range.

    Gotta love the old bikes, seems like with all the newer bikes you need to at least remove the fuel tank just to access the spark plug and often need special tools that you have to buy separately.

    there also should be a smaller o ring that fits inside where the oil filter goes. this is so it actually filters it and dosent go around it

    Is it a good idea to use a harsh cleaner on the crank case and pipes on a regular basis?

    What size MM is the spark plug? I need a "speciel" socket tool to remove it because a regular socket is too thick and wont fit.

    • @DoityourselfMotorcyclerepairs
      @DoityourselfMotorcyclerepairs  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Look for it in your bike. There should be little pouch with tools from factory and the spark plug tool is in it. It's under the side cover I think... don't remember for sure. I use one I got from another bike long time ago

    Hi there. What is the size of nut that GZ250 used for oil cap underneath? I tried to use a wrench but couldnt get it done.

    • @DoityourselfMotorcyclerepairs
      @DoityourselfMotorcyclerepairs  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      17mm socket with short extension … you can't do it with a wrench. Thanks for watching and I hope you subscribe... lot of my videos apply in general for all makes & models..I really appreciate it

    Did u unscrew the oil drain bolt counter clockwise? I'm having a hard time removing that bolt!

    • @DoityourselfMotorcyclerepairs
      @DoityourselfMotorcyclerepairs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes...that's correct. Someone must have over tightened it. After you get it off make sure the washer is on there...I bet it's missing

    • @DoityourselfMotorcyclerepairs
      @DoityourselfMotorcyclerepairs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes... Don't skip on that... it's not worth the $8... I know it's a little pain to get to it. Thank you for your interest and please subscribe to help me out 😊

    I'm confused. If this engine has only one spark plug, then that means it's a single cylinder engine. However, if that's the case, why does it have two exhaust pipes coming out of the engine? Is one pipe fake?

    Did you use synthetic or conventional oil?

    • @DoityourselfMotorcyclerepairs
      @DoityourselfMotorcyclerepairs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I recommend synthetic oil. Any brand name motorcycle 10w40 works. Thanks for your interest and please subscribe to help me out

    Did you have to set the gap on the spark plug?

    • @DoityourselfMotorcyclerepairs
      @DoityourselfMotorcyclerepairs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Gap is 0.026 ...the spark plugs are usually right on the money but it's a good idea to check it...you can get the tool at the auto parts store for $1...thanks for your interest...please subscribe... It will help me out 🙂
