      Eh there were always weird stories around mariuchi’s time in sf that weren’t just with owens. The fans never really loved him and the teams weren’t the most disciplined. I have no proof of any shenanigans, but coming out of the well oiled era of the Walsh/Seifert era, one could tell mariuchi wasn’t the most consistent on the team development/accountability department.

      T.O seems pretty accountable to me just bc he didn’t want to pay a fine that he clearly states was not the ordinary procedure that the coach had players do like buy the team lunch or what not shows me that he obviously was being made example of for some alternative reason not saying race , however I believe the man If he says other players on the team witnessed this type of picking and choosing behavior from the coach . which i have dealt with as well on a high school football team from a coach I loved and respected but seemed to clearly show favoritism and leniency towards certain players for whatever reasons..

      I actually agree. This story was a bit sus to say the least. What's race have to do with it when someone is late a ton of times?? It matters how many times you are late because then you're taking advantage of the coaches leniency. One, two, three, ten, twenty? How many times was he late is relevant. TO being a Diva was well known throughout the NFL back then and I'm saying this as a fan of his. I remember when he was trying to "reinvent" himself to be a more accountable player at Dallas after this period. He was still doing stuff that drove the coaching staff crazy. T.O. complained with big fine for being late. He didn’t get the option to pay the food. When Patrick asked TO how many times has he been late, he responded by saying “it doesn’t matter.” Obviously TO has attendance issues. Likely late often enough to become a big issue. Bring prompt is an act of professionalism. He then adds that he could have been in an accident but if he did get into an accident, there would be some damages to the car. Also he would have called the coach and tell Mooch he had gotten into an accident and he would be late. He didn’t call the coach. And he admitted he over slept. Also, every year he visits HBCUs puts them on ESPN first take which is the number one sports show in the country every year to bring awareness to HBCU’s. I’m just trying to figure out how his blackness can be a question. He speaks on behalf of fair Treatment towards black coaches in the college level and professional level. In addition to this, he always brings light to African-Americans getting fair opportunities in the executive side of professional sports teams. Can someone let me know how his blackness is in question. TO like other African Americans, didn’t want anybody questioning Kaepernick‘s stance. Stephen A just has the biggest platform so they chose to target him. Marcellus Wiley was going after Kaepernick, even harder. Rodney Harrison literally questioned Kaepernick’s blackness on live TV. So once again, it comes down to people just don’t like Stephen A Smith, because of his success, and his arrogance about his success. Just my thoughts.

    What TO fails to address here is what teams are willing to invest their time in, especially at QB. Zach Wilson is in his early/mid 20s and they’ve invested draft capital in him as well as salary. Usually teams are looking for one of three things at QB: 1. A young prospect, 2. A guy who is seemingly their franchise QB to win games now, 3. A veteran who is a good locker room guy who they think is a stop-gap, and if it goes poorly they basically tank. The only way a QB can get away with being a distraction is if he’s in one of the first two categories. Keapernick is not. He’s a major distraction that falls under #3, similar to what Tebow was, but for different reasons obviously. Teams were weighing pros and cons of having Kaepernick around, and there aren’t many pros. It would’ve been a major media circus without really any upside.

From the moment Kaepernick signs to the moment he exits, every person within that organization would be viewed under a microscope. It would be way too much of a distraction. The only way it would happen would be if a team were so desperate for media attention they would say f it and pick him up, which is nobody. There are a lot of people in this world in many disciplines that have gifts to use and can’t get out of there own way long enough to use them in a humble successful way to bring glory to the people around them -that is what your gifts are for. The people that understand this are more successful than the ones who selfishly praise themselves like Kap. This attitude detracts from his gifts and just like in life people don’t want to be around guys like that.

Kaepernick outed himself as a struggling and disgruntled employee that was looking for a banana to slip on in the kitchen, just so he could sue his employer. Once a company or establishment finds out you have a victim complex, they will distance themselves from you. I would never hire someone that constantly talks about race and being a victim. 300+ players took a knee during anthems, if Patrick Mahomes started kneeling he’d have 0 problems being on any team, they’d all love to have him.
    Kap was clearly objectively declining and aging and wanted to be overpaid and was causing drama. It makes perfect sense to not sign up for that.

  • @GbawlZ
    @GbawlZ ปีที่แล้ว +1

    As someone noted, Kaepernick opted out of his last two years of his contract. He also received backup QB offers, where he could have won the starting jobs, which he turned down. What he was doing on the field led to no change, it just made him radioactive to hire because he couldn't be controlled as an employee representing an organization. I think he was having a mid life identity crisis because he was raised by a white family, who was very kind hearted to adopt him and do so, and he was desperate to connect with his culture for the first time. Unfortunately, his ego grew as his afro grew and he turned down many opportunities to get back into the league DESPITE his antics. The Broncos are one of the teams that offered him a position in the NFL as recently as a couple of years ago. Today, Kaepernick is far too old to get back into the NFL as a starting QB, even if he were at the same level he was early in his 49ers career. He missed his window because he chose a different path for too many years.
