To admit that it is justified to punish someone by killing in Islam and then at the same time to say Islam is a peaceful religion is the epitome of madness.

Do you know there is a theory that Islam is actually a rip off of Christianity and Judaism, where do you think all this killing comes from if not from the bible. God punish, God isn't as peaceful as what humans or Christian want it to be even the symbolic of sacrifice of Jesus also by being crucified till death , you think the God is peaceful for human eyes ?

I was born, raised, and forced to be a Muslim for 25 years. But I couldn’t take it anymore and I converted to Christianity. I can never go back to my birth country Iran and my family disowned me, but I don’t regret anything. I am going to live once, and I refuse to be the slave of other people’s beliefs.

Instead of forming your opinion based on a single youtube video, read Quran or bible or any other holy book thoroughly of a particular religion that you want to understand. Faith should be based on reasoning, logic, common sense practicality, reality of history and human nature.
I suggest you to gain knowledge about different religion, philosophies, history, politics etc. Because all of these things are interlinked. Dont have quick judgment and continue to learn. You dont have to believe everything you read. Acquiring knowledge is the key to have wisdom. With time you will understand whats right and whats wrong.
In addition, I also did the same. Bible has many contradictions and errors that indicate the men made corruption. Hence, the text can not be trusted. If you really want to understand Quran and the ideology you can read a tafseer of Quran, such as Tafheemul Quran which can be downloaded from google playstore in English and it has translation, context, background and explanation of the verses of the quran that was revealed in a duration of 23 years. I am a muslim and I dont agree with everything a scholar says about a specific topic because I know that difference of opinion is natural for humans. Thats why there are several sects and school of thoughts.

What I see from the 2 Muslim brothers is the classic counter argument, which is not addressing questions directly but rather deflecting and redirecting the argument to try to create a false equivalence.

    • @nunya54
      @nunya54 19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

It's not a false equivalence. If Christians claim the Old Testament is from God and the Word of God, then to be critical of Islam for the same laws would be critical of their own God.

Because it is the Bible does not mean it is prescriptive
Yes, it is the word of God, but also God in flesh has fulfilled that law 2000 years ago.
Hence that law is descriptive and prescriptive in its historical environment and context but not in the new covenant brought by Jesus Christ who fulfilled and was innocently put to death by the law

Firstly, it's essential to understand the concept of due process. In an Islamic state, like any other, due process is crucial. This means that an individual cannot simply be condemned without a fair trial. There must be a court hearing where any objections are presented and addressed. This ensures that justice is served according to the laws of the state.
In an Islamic state, the leader holds the same weight as governmental laws being passed in other countries. For example, just as the US government can pass laws regarding treason, in Islamic states, the laws of Islam are the country's laws. These laws, including those regarding apostasy, are upheld as part of the legal system.
DONT BE A HYPOCRITE WITH DOUBLE STANDARDS
Secondly, it's often pointed out that similar laws are found in Deuteronomy, a book in the Bible. This is clear double standards, especially when those who claim to be Christians do not necessarily practice their religion. However, it's essential to note that while these laws exist, they are often ignored or falsely interpreted.

@@standard-user-name If they're a pagan perhaps due to some similarities Christianity has with some pagan faiths (which is due to Paul and the Church borrowing those ideas to easily attract them into Christianity).
Otherwise, it is far too difficult for people to go from believing in one God who is all powerful, has complete knowledge and power and cannot be contained by the heavens (like the Bible says) to believing He can be contained inside a woman's uterus, lose power and knowledge and is three in one. Christianity has found it far too difficult over the years to convert Muslims (like Jews with similar beliefs about God). In Islam, God is Most Merciful and Just and loves to forgive the sins of the repentance whereas in Christianity he dies to pay the price of those sins. That and God being a person or three persons and changing so drastically is far too illogical for most people to believe if they're not raised up in the religion. The Trinity alone stumps many Christians raised in Christianity and causes them to leave the religion often.

@@standard-user-nameFirstly, it's essential to understand the concept of due process.

Because Christians claim to believe in the Old Testament and say it's from God. So when they criticize Islam for the same laws found in the Old Testament, they're criticizing their God and being hypocritical. They're confused though and there's always been a classical and embarrassing rejection of the Old Testament and it's too difficult to reconcile God of the OT being Jesus in the NT.

As a representative of God, we are commanded to show His kind of true love even to people who are our enemies, seeing them as created in the image of God and with a desire to lead them to repentance from living in sin and salvation.
Expectation of eternity is that the sinful parts of you that you still struggle with will be purified, leaving Godly character and the good and wholesome fruits of the spirit as your character and new nature.

Here Moses warns the people against listening to a close relative or a dear friend who may entice them secretly to serve other gods. He then commanded that the tempter must be put to death. Remind you all of the isrealite comunity were at the time Gods chosen people so they knew of his existence yet still worshiped other "Gods". Also by christian standards Moses is not the most important figure in the bible because in christian perspective every human did some sort of evil doings. except Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Robert is claiming that his biggest grievance with Islam is that apostates (people who leave a religion) are to be put to death. However there is no way that Robert can logically prove that ordering an apostate is an objectively immoral act since his own religion claims the exact same thing. Jake is proving a point, not calling for the capital punishment on Rachid. There are 26 different arabic versions of quran( u can google it), which one is real? Mohammd has disobeyed all commandments of God, which means he disobeyed God himself. Mohammd has killed, raped, did child marriage, married his sons wife, owned sex slaves and so on. Mohammd drastically died from poison, a very normal human. Even God didn't warn him and mohammd can't predict.
Jesus never did any sin. Like Jesus said he is next to his father in Heaven.

@@danielbarry5547, No they don't say the same thing at all. Infact, Islam says the opposite of Christianity. Plus, Islam fundamentally and vehemently denies the Incarnation, the Trinity, the Crucifixion and Resurrection, which sets the bench mark for Christianity. So, how are they the same thing? Islam hasn't got a problem with child brides, chopping people limbs off in the opposite direction if anyone steals anything, slavery, taken another man's wife etc etc, Christianity opposes such practices. How are they saying the same thing?
Islam has apostasy laws where if someone leaves Islam, under Shariah Law, they would be put to death, there is also the killing of homosexuals etc. Christianity opposes such practice. How are the saying the samething? If a woman has affairs outside her marriage (which she often doesn't bc her husband wanted to get rid of her), she would be put to death by stoning. When a large group of men wanted to stone Mary Magdaline, Jesus stepped in and stopped it by telling them those without sin cast the first stone. Jesus then told her to go and sin no more. How are they the same? There are so many examples, but I've given you a few why they're not the same as they're in direct opposition to one another!
Islam took the Torah aka Old Testament and the New Testament and between Muhammad and Allah they both butchered and twisted the characters and themes of the bible that its almost become unrecognisable. That's called plagiarism and theft. As I said at the top, they're not at all the same.

“Certainly! Matthew 5:17-18 is a passage from the New Testament, specifically from the Gospel of Matthew. Here is the text of those verses (ESV):
"17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished."
In these verses, Jesus is speaking, and He emphasizes that He did not come to abolish the Law (which includes the Old Testament laws and teachings) but to fulfill them. He goes on to say that not even the smallest part of the Law will pass away until all is accomplished. This indicates the continuity between the Old Testament (the Law and the Prophets) and Jesus' mission as the fulfillment of that divine plan.”

Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’”
These verses are part of a passage where God commands King Saul to punish the Amalekite people, including both humans and animals, for their actions against the Israelites”

      Deuteronomy 13:6-10 (NIV):

Show them no pity. Do not spare them or shield them. You must certainly put them to death. Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people. The Old Testament makes up approximately 65 to 70 percent on the Christian Bible. Most Christian teachers of it do not cover the authority to take the lives of others under the Old Testament concerning apostates. They will teach how Jesus came to give eternal life by teaching love for God ( and accepting His son as savior)and man ( your neighbor). Jesus established the New Covenant by fulfilling the laws of the Old Testament and Old Testament (OT)prophesy. This was done by becoming incarnate, performing miracles described in OT prophesy , being sacrificed on the cross to forgive mankind’s sin, then being resurrected. Belief in Him, these 2 new commands he preached and His biblical teachings which include the beatitudes were to direct mankind to righteousness, salvation and eternal life after earthly death. From what I have learned Judaism and Islam do not accept Jesus as a savior to man. Islam accepts Him as a prophet. I believe, but I am not totally sure of His status in Judaism. I have heard different opinions from different folks who followed the faith.
This discussion centers mostly about writings in the OT, much of which in Judaism is the Pentateuch, which are basically Mosaic law and writing of the prophets. There are other elements of the OT, but I will leave that to the rabbis and theologians. Interestingly this conversation comes at the right time. There are many faiths on earth. These three faiths have had significant impact on worldly events and spiritual offerings. Interesting, the father of each faith is Abraham. These are considered Abrahamic faiths by many, Each faiths ancient elements include the Pentateuch as much of its moral code and law. The Christian Bible also includes the New Testament which centers around the life of Jesus , His mission on earth, His works and His apostles etc. Islam has Mohammed and his life and teachings along with updating writings and its Imam. I believe all three have Eschatology prophecy (end times)teachings which have differences. This discussion is a good one to have to many can understand the secular and spiritual aspects of each faith and how they affect daily lives and emotions. Please continue these discussions. Thanks to all willing to discuss the issues presented during the debate.

Jesus is not describing the sword of God's judgment, nor one of military action, or of personal violence. The item Jesus refers to here is the Greek term machairan, most often used for large knives such as those used by fisherman. The main purpose of those blades was to separate different parts of a cut of meat-this is the same term used in the book of Hebrews to depict Scripture's ability to separate truth and error (Hebrews 4:12).
In other words, Jesus' message will naturally create division; this "sword" will divide the world into those who believe in Him and those who do not. His arrival will bring great conflict as those who reject Jesus as the Messiah and Son of God will turn in hatred against those who hear and believe (1 Peter 4:3-4; John 15:18-21), including the members of one's own family.
      ‭1 Corinthians 2:15-16

Violence in religion is/should be only as a result of punishments for laws broken as God legislates. Christians don't follow the laws of God in the Bible. On the note of slavery in the Old Testament - if you were a Hebrew you were to be set free on Jubilee regardless of duration of your enslavement. If a slave from a foreign land converted and became a Hebrew they too would be set free on the Jubilee. This is also true for the forgiveness of debt. In other words it’s more about redemption and forgiveness but people either haven’t actually read it or choose to ignore it to build their straw man arguments and false equivalencies.

Empathy and morality are not the same; when you are young you only have empathy but as you grow up you need to be taught morality, which supercedes your empathy, or else you will never have it or you will develop it by your own philosophies. The Christian ethic from which the American concept of human rights comes from is unique to the Christian worldview, it's not the default innate morality of mankind and in fact most of the modern American youth have no understanding of it and are being taught an oppressor/oppressed-based morality wherein the lease privileged is always the morally superior.

So, if you, as a christian lets say, say you are a moral entity, your morals come from god, which is itself an amoral entity, and in that mindset, morality is a dictate from authority.
But if you are an atheist, your morals dont come from there, the base of it was inherited from social behavior on apes and other mammals, we complemented them and enhanced them, putting emphasis on social and individual well being.
So, if your religion says it is moral to kill some one for say, adultery, I would say that adultery is immoral by itself, because it disrupts both social and individual well being, but killing some one for it is even more immoral for the same reasons.
The moral compasses are entirely different.

    • @gorkyd7912
      @gorkyd7912 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@Alientcp Sorry to say you're not demonstrating any understanding at all. If you are a Christian your morals come from being raised up and educated by other Christians. They may be trying to interpret the concept of morality through an understanding of the nature of God from writings in scripture but they are not being given morality directly from God. And it's never a dictate from authority for anyone because every person has the choice to disobey any authority at any time; they weigh the consequences.
The morality that comes directly from God is empathy and conscience and everyone has these whether Christian or not.
If you are an atheist you are taught your set of morals by the people you study and admire, same as Christians but they are atheists. Morality is not inherited it is taught, so any atheist saying they inherited morality from the social behavior of apes probably has no concept of morality. An atheist who says some behavior is immoral but the punishment for it is also immoral can't really claim to know anything about social well-being. If you don't defend morality from violation then you don't support it and your society will self-destruct it will not have greater well-being.

"If your brother, the son of your mother, your son or your daughter, the wife [c]of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own soul, secretly entices you, saying, ‘Let us go and serve other gods,’ which you have not known, neither you nor your fathers, 7 of the gods of the people which are all around you, near to you or far off from you, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth, 8 you shall not [d]consent to him or listen to him, nor shall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him or conceal him; 9 but you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people. 10 And you shall stone him with stones until he dies, because he sought to entice you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. 11 So all Israel shall hear and fear, and not again do such wickedness as this among you."
and All these liberals,Athiests or people of other rekigions who are saying that if islam is so peaceful then why punishment of killling. I have some questions for you , will you be killed you go against the Government of a country or against the constitution of the country or you are found guilty of treason ? The answer is yes, so why do you guys have no problem in that law but have a problem against this Law of Islam. Why these double standards ?Similary The reason you will be killed is because you are going against the Governmen.
And remember guys A person will be killed only if he openly goes and makes it public so if you keep it within yourself noone will know it and you will be living your life then .Only when he makes it public there are consequences still after that, He will be given three chances to come back , his doubts will be clarified. No, not so fast! These pseudo-Christians are doing what they are known to do - betraying Christ with their lies! Noticed how the panel comprises of Muslims only - whether ex or y? And notice, how the conclusion was drawn in collective agreement and undeniably taking on the hue of political nature and with a common enemy apparently?!! Draw your own conclusions from here on...and for Heaven's sake, Christians STOP trusting Muslims at all. Read the following and understand better:
      1. Why do these Christians feel obliged to defend that which Christ has Himself refuted, rebuked and repudiated - both in Word & Deed?
      2. Why do these Christians feel obliged to defend Mosaic laws when Christ has Himself refuted, rebuked and repudiated it by replacing it with Grace, Truth and surpassing Righteousness of God which was since the very beginning, even before mankind were created? To which, all genuinely faithful servants or prophets of God pointed to, constantly reminding the peoples to retrace their steps back to the crossroads, where the Gospel (God-spelt) and Manspel (man-spelt) diverge, that they may seek out the Ancient Path which leads to Righteousness & Life.
      3. Why do these Christians feel obliged to defend the wolves who masquerade as sheep in their midst? It isn't as if Christ hadn't been faithful to forewarn the world of them?
      4. Why do these Christians on the other hand FAIL TO feel obliged to show how Moses had ended up lifting up & upholding the Serpent (symbolic allusion to the Devil) instead of God, and how he had replaced the Power of God's Word with his own rebellious spirit of aggression - thus forfeiting his Calling & Election to lead the people into Canaan? Thus also exposing how Islam follows the same path of rebellion, even upholding Satan as 'God', as was espoused by not just Moses but going all the way back to their so-called 'first prophet' Adam who is in fact the one to set the ball rolling by CHOOSING DEATH OVER LIFE IN SPITE OF FAITHFUL FOREWARNINGS FROM GOD.
      5. Lastly, and most importantly, why do these Christians FAIL TO feel obliged to make it known loud & clear that God has clearly not entrusted Judgement to man, that it is NOT PERMITTED to men to take God's Judgement in their own hands? The coming Judgement of God is a Reality waiting to take place at its Appointed Time, and Christ has clearly exhorted and taught to all who will heed Him to patiently & prayerfully wait for it.
Islam is the most deplorable of all manspels, next to Catholicism. One the pretentious Satan worshiper, conveniently forgetting Satan is also but ONE. The other openly profaning the holy Name of God by taking His Name in vain and adding the Same in a vain bid to validate themselves, even as they add It to their collection of pagan deities comprising of mortal men & women, going as far as to relegate the Lord as a mere man like them to justify their exaltation of them on par with Him.

@@tigstabraha6476 with all due respect we don't have to take this guy's words as the truth. I don't think there is a verse in the new testament that tells the Christians to disregard the old testament. In fact you can find the contrary in the new testament in the following verse:
The New Testament demonstrates that this ruler is Jesus, and He said, “Don't misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose” (Matthew 5:17, NLT).
I have a question. Why do you guys have so much trust in the words of paul who had been a persecutor to the early converts and then suddenly he miraculously had a "vision” that changed his life to the course of being an apostle. Firstly Paul has a failed prophecy which suggests that the then alive christians will be alive at the time of the 2nd coming of Jesus which surely did not happen. Also paul has distorted verses of the old testament to suit his own agenda. After everything how do you guys risk your afterlife on the sayings of a man whose truthfulness is a matter of doubt.

I am somewhat surprised that the participants fail to recognize what to me is obvious.
Let’s set aside the Quran for a moment and focus on the prophets at the center of this debate.
Jesus Christ was born and died a Jew. He never denounced his faith. He openly denounced the corruption of the religious authorities, and he offered a more compassionate alternative within the principles of Judaism. The essence of his teachings were a re-evaluation of the Torah and Talmud with an emphasis on brotherly love, humility, tolerance, and peace and justice for all especially for those neglected by the religious authorities at the time. His intent, in my estimation, was not necessarily to create a new religion but rather to bring Judaism and humanity to a new level of consciousness.
He did so by preaching a new vision within the context of Judaic practice and his apostles were given the directive to spread the word. The expectation was that through dialogue people would voluntarily adopt and live by these new principles.
Never in his lifetime did Jesus Christ use violence, coercion, intimidation, and conquest to secure a following. Never did he subjugate the vulnerable, the disenfranchised, and the weak. Never did his teachings authorize and promote the abuse of others be they men, women, children, slaves, or the survivors of military conquest.
For sure power brokers throughout history, in the name of Jesus Christ and his followers, used and abused others. This cannot be denied. But the source, the root, that is Jesus Christ never did, never promoted it, never justified it, even to his own demise.
Compare Jesus Christ’s life and actions to Mohammed’s.
Mohammed used his violence, subjugation, and deception to further his aims. He participated in and promoted jihad and not only as a means of self-defense (distorting the meaning of self-defense to include the act of rejecting Islam). When dialogue did not convince his audience, the sword surely did.
As a final note regarding the Quran.
You mention that 95% of the Quran promotes peace and only 5% does not, and that non-Muslim obsess over the 5 %.
The reason why we do is, that the 95% references a context where peace and justice only exists within the context of Muslim conquest and domination, subjugating all non-Muslims to forced conversion, death, or the equivalent of slavery. And the drive and justification to reach this exalted position for Islam is through the verses of the remaining 5 %.
If the 95% is really what matters then drop the 5% both in words and in actions.

If this is true, that means God required a blood sacrifice which means he's not loving. He wanted an innocent person to die for things he did not do. Who believes that about God?
Good thing there is no evidence this is true. The first followers of Jesus during that time did not believe Jesus died. The people that actually saw Jesus did not believe that. James, the disciples, the early sects of Christianity, all closest to him in time, did not believe he died. It was common knowledge in the first century that he did not. It's not true. There's much evidence against it. It was another made up story of the gospel writers.

This ex Muslim man speaks the honest truth. "HONOR KILLINGS" really are a standard recognized practice in all Muslim countries at times. Most muslim countries have few or even no laws against "honor killings", because tragically the general populace supporrs that kind of practice. Honor killings have even been done in non-muslim countries, such as Canada, Brazil, the U.S. and even Japan. A prime example happened here in the U.S about ten years ago. A taxicab driver had two beautiful well behaved daughters. He became more and more incensed, and then enraged, because in his view they were becoming gradually ever more "westernized" and he believed that was sinning against Islam's teachings. He murdered both of them , then fled to the protection of other muslims that sympathized with that belief. After a number of years he was finally discovered hiding with his brother. He was arrested for the murders Amnesty International, and the U.N. both say that around 5,000 honor killings, mostly of women, happen every year. And the trend is gradually rising. The people that do the murders are almost always family members, typically a father or brother. Let's ask ourselves, .. is that what a true religion would condone and actually promote ?!?

One the pretentious Satan worsiper, conveniently forgetting Satan is also but ONE.
