Silencing Apple AirTags (How to instructions - EASY TO FOLLOW)

- In this video we explain how to silence the Apple AirTags by disabling the small speaker, which can be found on the inside of the AirTag.
Silencing the AirTag may be a good idea for example when you are trying to make it more difficult for someone to find the location of the AirTag when you mount it on your bicycle.
The speaker is inside of the AirTag.It can be accessed by first removing the battery. Then remove the plastic cover on the inside of the AirTag. The small metal piece, which is glued onto the plastic cover is part of the speaker. After removing this piece, reassemble the AirTag and it will be silent from now on. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต

MegaSafetyFirst is it correct that location alerts to your iPhone no longer work after removing the speaker?
I did it, my ipad can still see/connect to the airpod but it seems to refuse to connect with any other bluetooth now. There's no more location report unless my original ipad is nearby.
Apple redesigned it. It won't work with speaker removed.

Dang. The sound speaker is right within the chip. Apple redesigned them. Just fyi.
You can still take it out. I took mine out today.

@@edinhrustanovic3087yes. It works even with the speaker removed. You can just pop it out of there with a sharp object. Did mine 5 minutes ago and works perfectly fine.
